JOSEPHINE VRented tow dolly and the tire strap had been worn short. Obviously last renter drug strap down the road and now it was too short to strap tire to dolly once I was at location to tow car. I had to go buy straps to secure car to dolly. No concern was given when I returned dolly.
KELLY HMobile check in experience was a disaster from the time I started it never completed and I had to wait inside for another 45 to and hour to get the vehicle. Location is deceiving a bit without proper signage and other than the vehicles parked out front you wouldn’t know it was the office for a U-Haul rental location. Vehicle was dirty with mud and other bugs etc on outside but interior was clean.

Jill HThis location closes at 4:00p.m. which is very inconvenient for most customers. Closing so early makes it difficult to resolve an issue on the same day before the rental contract is closed. In this particular instance we refueled the truck to the same gauge level we picked it up at or more, yet we were still charged a fuel fee. We have rented from u-haul often for more than 30 years, and now we have decided to do business elsewhere since the level of customer service is nowhere near where it once was. To anyone that has to go to this location do beware, their ethics should be scrutinized.
ERNEST BBetter tech support online. Took 2 hours to get my equipment because the app wasn’t working. Tech person took 2 hours to help on the phone.

WILLIAM FOriginally reserved uhaul ar Lafayette location . They notified me 20 minutes before my pick up that my reservation was canceled because truck broke down . Relocated me a truck in Opelousas and told me go there . Failed to mention the facility was closed , and didn’t enough customer care to explain abt ride share and them being able to give me access to vehicle without facility being open . In which , I found this out by reading online .

Shauna SI reserved a month prior to needing a uhaul. We traveled 4 hrs to Baton Rouge wheee we made our picked up reservation. We were notified only 14 hrs before scheduled pick up they could not accommodate our reservation. People take off from work, travel & schedule to be moved in & out on specific dates. I called & spoke to customer service who found a truck 1 1/2hrs away in Opelousas. We had to have a truck so we drove extra 3 hrs to get a truck. Customer service said we would not be charged extra & we were. You don’t take reservations if you don’t have equipment to rent. I will never use U-Haul again & will tell everyone I know not to use them either. Very disappointed eating my time & money.

Exavier GTell them to not use Dons in Opelousas. The added fuel charge was a disappointment but who cares about 15 bucks (even though I have pictures of pickup and drop off fuel levels). When I tried to check it in on drop off the location wouldn’t pull up, the app said to drop the keys and a UHaul rep would be contacting me soon. Guess what NO ONE ever contacted me. I got an alert that my card was charged so I tried to call Dons and speak with someone but the secretary said I had to call another number to speak with the UHaul guy at THAT facility. So I called and no one answered, I called three times. So I called the main number and spoke to the secretary again and she LOOKED outside and said the guy was outside but she would give him a message to call me. NO ONE ever called me. I don’t appreciate that. I have been renting UHaul equipment all my life and this new digital, no personal service way of doing business may suit the younger generation who can’t actually speak to people, but I don’t care for it. By the way when I picked up the truck there was an appliance dolly, a regular dolly and 4 blankets in the truck which I was not charged for and I folded the blankets and secured the dollys when I dropped off the truck, I could have kept them but at least I’m honest and I already have my own equipment. You might want to make sure Dons accounted for those items by the way. ( I have pictures)

Kim SOnly thing that I found was lower dash board was being held up with what looked like duck tape. Lady in office was very nice and friendly, make me feel like I care and answered my questions and concerns. Will return if I ever need again.
