Originally reserved uhaul ar Lafayette location . They notified me 20 minutes before my pick up that my reservation was canceled because truck broke down . Relocated me a truck in Opelousas and told me go there . Failed to mention the facility was closed , and didn’t enough customer care to explain abt ride share and them being able to give me access to vehicle without facility being open . In which , I found this out by reading online .

Shauna SI reserved a month prior to needing a uhaul. We traveled 4 hrs to Baton Rouge wheee we made our picked up reservation. We were notified only 14 hrs before scheduled pick up they could not accommodate our reservation. People take off from work, travel & schedule to be moved in & out on specific dates. I called & spoke to customer service who found a truck 1 1/2hrs away in Opelousas. We had to have a truck so we drove extra 3 hrs to get a truck. Customer service said we would not be charged extra & we were. You don’t take reservations if you don’t have equipment to rent. I will never use U-Haul again & will tell everyone I know not to use them either. Very disappointed eating my time & money.
