Our company relies heavily on the support of Uhaul and we use your services all over the nation. We have completed over 20 rentals averaging about $1500 per rental to support our business. I was HIGHLY disappointed with our service at the Downey location on our last rental. Apparently we were dealing with the gas station's owner's wife and she truly had the worst customer service skills I have ever encountered. She could have cared less about our time and had no idea how t work the tablet she was using for the rental. After a frustrating hour waiting for her to figure it out with the help of several phone calls, I asked for the copy of the contract and she had the audacity to tell me I did not need it. I asked several times for it and she confirmed that she had email it, which she never did. I contacted another location nearby and presented my situation, in which they apologized and immediately sent me a copy of my contract. I found that the contract showed the vehicle had almost a full tank of gas which in reality, the van was out of fuel. I asked her about it and she acted like she did not understand what I was asking so I called customer service, took pictures of the fuel gauge and had it corrected myself. Lastly, the vehicle was parked behind her gas station (that's right, she owned a gas station but could not add a few gallons of fuel to make it safe of us to rent) and upon finding the vehicle it was blocked by an older red Mercedes. I walked back to the front to ask a tenant who's car it was and e confirmed it was hers, the owner. I walked back into the store to ask her to move it so I could pull our rental out, she rolled her eyes and took 20 minutes to move it. I was disgusted with her demeanor and attitude, truly the worst experience I have gone through with Uhaul. After spending over $25000 on rental with your company, I would hope that you reprimand her and if at all possible, pull her permits to represent you.
