Cricket BWhen I mentioned the drop off location to the Warrenton residents (our destination), they told me in advance what a terrific rental experience they had previously with the professional and friendly owner at Eagle Shell. My experience was the same - could not have been easier. Would definitely use or recommend Eagle Shell again.

STEPHEN TIt cost me 300.00 dollars to use a 10x10 truck. I put all my information in. The app took 78.00 that has never been seen again. Charged me 112.00 at the pickup, when i paid 78.00 online. Then charged me an extra 66.00 for going 35 miles over?? I had to enter my current address, and where I was going. So should that not have been already calculated? THEN! There was an 1/8 tank of gas when I received the truck. The paper I physically had said it was an 1/8 of a tank. Then when I get the bill it says theres supposed to be a quarter of a tank?!?! Will literally never ever use UHaul again. It has been the biggest rip off, and further more took the money i had reserved for my son’s Christmas gifts. I hope you guys sleep well at night after completely over charging a single mom.

JUAN EJoint equipment inspection before departure. My experience was a bit too casual and there was no heads up notice that I needed to respond to an automated TXT message from U-Haul about the condition of the truck before I departed. As it was, I didn’t even read it until I arrived at my destination, which was too late.

kevin lThe service provider at this location keeps adding items to my reservation when I go pick it up that I did not add when I made the reservation and they weren’t there when I did my online check in, but when I would arrive to pick up the equipment they would add extra charges to my order that I did not ask for and then get an attitude when I call them out on it.

HUI SLocation was in a random equipment/junkyard, there was a pile of rocks right next to the truck where I could barely even open the door. No dolly or furniture pads at the truck location, went to a second location to pick up the flat tow and had to get dolly and furniture pads there after 20 to 30 minutes of looking at my order since I already paid for them, I paid a Company to put all of my items in the 20 foot truck. The truck doesn’t even make it out of town and the bearings are bad, extremely unsafe we barely made it back to the house where we had to wait to get truck serviced - unfortunately our trip was delayed and it cost me more money. Horrible experience

David WThe car tie down strap was cut to short so I have to deflate my tire to get if strapped down and then I had to fill the tire back up, also at first the light didn’t work on the trailer I plugged the trailer into two different vehicles so you need to check those lights on the trailer because it definitely was not a car issue, and the trailer lights only started working once the trailer starting bouncing down the road so you need to check the trailers wire all the way back not just the connection on the tongue of the trailer

CAROLYN MWe've never particularly liked this location as the the employees are ill mannered. I run a floral design and event planning business, and being in peak season my time is limited- we choose this location because unfortunately it is the closest to our house and they were the only u-haul that had a cargo van in a 45 minute radius of our house. When we arrived at the U-haul (after hours for self-checkin via the app) we couldn't pick up the equipment because they didn't put keys in the lock-box and assign a vehicle to our reservation. We wasted 40 minutes of driving plus more than 30 minutes trying to check-in and then waiting on hold to be told there is nothing they can do. When I tried to to discuss this with the u-haul employee the next day when we had to go back (add another 40+ minutes on an already limited schedule) all I got what "mmmhm" and nodding. I was under the impression if my equipment wasn't available I'd get $50 per U-hauls "reservation guarantee" but I haven't heard anything. Thinking back to other times we've used this locations... we've been asked to clean vehicles that were given to us dirty, and the pick-up pictures on the app NEVER match the actual vehicle quality so you have to be very careful to make sure you take your own pictures that represent the correct status of the vehicle.

Frank HRental was filthy Smelled of smoke The rental was checked out at 8:30 am Because I was not able to pick up the rental until after 5 pm I was told I had to leave the keys That was their only set. The attendant kept the keys even after I insisted that I was paying for the time. I was also denied the right to inspect the van prior to usage. This was a horrible experience. By the time I was able to pick up the keys after 6 pm there was a severe thunderstorm. This did not allow me to inspect the van per the text that was received. To add insult to injury The attendant gave me a receipt for $196 to compensate for the negative experience. However I was charged $357 anyway. Thanks but no thanks

Darrell EVehicle muffler very load and could not talk on my phone while driving. Vehicle was not clean. Personal were helpful & friendly.
GREGORY DGentlemen at the desk indicated I could drop it off at South Hill Virginia, and incur no extra charges. However, when my bill came in, I was charged extra. I purchased blankets and had to stop and go back and get the blankets he forgot to put them in the truck. Truck wasn’t excellent shape and ran very well, one of the best truck experiences I’ve had with you.
Stephen GThe cab of the truck we borrowed was filthy. A sticky liquid coated the floor as well as the passenger seat. There was a loud rattling noise coming from under the steering wheel.
PETER CThe service was exceptional. The truck was in poor condition. The exhaust system was very, very loud and in need of service. The gear shifter was stuck and hard to move between reverse and drive. The turning radius was terrible. I have rented a lot of trucks this size over the years. This was the worst ever.
