Uhaul used to be the go to place for moving yourself. Since they started "farming" their business out to all these other businesses - there has been nothing but challenges. The trucks where they are supposed to - and, nobody notifies you until you arrive the morning of your move. Then, they find the truck you want 20 miles away - so, you go there to find out that business is currently closed. It's only by chance that the owner of that business stops to check on something at just the right - and, HIS willingness to help us get the truck we reserved - that our plans worked out at all. This is the 2nd time in two rentals that things did not work out as they should have - using UHAUL - and, I assure you I will find other options for our next move and for anyone that asks me about who they should use in my business. NOT UHAUL - unless they go back to working for a living and standing behind their product and services like they once did. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCES!!

The uhaul company (corporate) text that's sent to customers to return the rental vehicle should warn people ahead of time that they'll need photos, it's not a one-step process, and to hang onto the keys until completed.

Your Call Center Corporate Accounts Representative, Nannette is not very customer service oriented. Her tone and responses are as negative as they could be. This is a reoccurrence. You can tell she doesn't like what she does as it is very apparent.

I was scheduled to pick up on Fri because they weren't open on Sat. Made a call, they were open on Sat so said I would be there on Sat instead of Fri. U Haul cancelled my order because I didn't pick up on Fri. I travelled 72 miles to get the dolly. I was able to get the dolly finally, thanks to to gentleman there.

The trailer was filthy! Never has it been cleaned outside. The interior leaked water. Upon rental it was musty inside and wet. Upon drop off it was wet from a rain storm we had been through. Luckily, nothing was ruined! We had been short 2 moving blankets and didn't find out until later and they were closed. Not happy!!!

East central towing billed me for a fence i did not hit. However, the two representatives I spoke with at U-Haul were amazing. Literally polite and understanding. I believe their names were Yvette and Christine. Literally the best customer support I've had in a long time.

We turned the truck in and have received several bills since the original charge not sure why or what all the costs are for. Why charge us the day of return then charge us again the next day?? Tried to call to get a better understanding of what charges are for but Customer Service doesn't answer. Not happy! Truck cost WAY more than quoted!!

I reserved a tow dolly for pick up in pine city. I arrived at best rentals in pine city to pick up. After about 20 to 25 minutes i was instructed to go to rush city to pick up the car dolly. I went to rush city and the person working did not know how to complete the transaction so i ended up waiting there for about 45 minutes for someone to show up and complete the rental. Overall i spent just shy of 1 hour 45 minutes at the rental place. After digging the car dolly out of the weeds i had to go buy an adapter for the trailer lights. I would say my overall experience was very poor for the price i paid to rent it and the amout of time i spent trying to retrieve it. I do not think i will be renting from uhaul for some time.

Rush City Mn U-Haul was top notch, I was welcomed into the store with a smile and hand shake from the gentleman running it. Everything was explained, questions answered, and they went above and beyond the call of duty when I messed up the lock on the truck!.

The staff was friendly and helpful, but I was very dissatisfied with the trailer.The tire on the trailer had a defect. I had to stop twice to put air in it. Also, the brake lights on the trailer kept shorting out.

When I arrived to pick up the truck - it had been sitting for two months not being used. So the owner had to jump start it to get it running. This took 1 hour.

The process was very inefficient; it took over an hour to rent a truck that was reserved on-line. The clerk on duty could not access the on-line system and did not know how to lease the truck out, so I had to provide information on my DOB, credit card, drivers license, and address to female "Bobby" over the phone, so she could process the transaction. On the plus side both employees were very pleasant and customer oriented.

The customer service was not professional. He was not familiar with the reservation process or the equipment. It took us more than 45 minutes just to get the truck when we were already pre registered and there was no one else at the location to cause any distractions. Over all will never rent there again.

Kudos to these folks! They bailed me out of a tough situation. Had to upgrade at the last minute, but the owner of Depot Exxon took care of the details and got me going. The lady behind the counter didn't give up either. She worked with me while taking care of other customers with ease. They don't know how grateful I am for their help to a complete stranger. Thank you.

Have staff that knows how 2 rent out u hauls be in the store. Don't write my credit card number down just because you don't know how to check uhauls in. Just not applicable I will never rent from them again an any 1 I know that wants 2 rent a uhaul I will recomand they go some where else.

There was a new guy there that had never checked out a customer before. It took him over 50 mins. and 2 phone calls to complete the transaction. He did not enter the vehicle info in the begining. He was wanting me to come back in forty mins. when someone would be coming in that knew how to check customers out.

upon first arrival in the morning at 8:15am after making the reservation the night before, the guy working in the store knew NOTHING!!He was not even aware of my rental nor did he even know the proper procedure to rent me the truck. I was told to come back in one hour and then someone would be there who knew what he was doing. When I returned in one hour the guy was still NOT THERE! I had to speak with him over the phone to process my rental. The truck itself was clean and ran very well, but the customer service at this location SUCKS!

I had an 11:00am reservation. My truck didn't show up until 1:00pm. Not OK. UHaul overall really dropped the ball. I had an out of state move and booked a month in advance, but was told the day before my move that there were NO TRUCKS anywhere in the Durham/Raleigh area. I ended up at this location because it was the ONLY truck available all day. Unbelievable. It was not this location's fault, but I will never book with UHaul for another move again.

As for booking the service online I had a reservation scheduled and approved & when it came time for me to pick my truck up it was not available. They apparently had several reservations that were pending to be filled but I was told they were behind schedule. I had to continually call every hour to get a status update cause I was pressed for time myself. The service lady on the phone was rude and explained to me that when they had something available at a certain location (not even my preselected location) she would call then hung up on me. As for customer service they were not friendly on the phone and this could have been better handled.

either their tanks are rigged or your trucks are when it comes to fueling them. very dissatisfied and will never use U- Haul again not even your trailers

Beware of this location, they indicate one price, then charge another. I will never use this site again, for anything, not even gas and it's one of the couple local gas stations around.

I have a receipt that it costs 42.00. They took 75.00 out of my account. How can I get the difference back?

When I first got into the truck, there was an ash tray filled with cigarettes and food, and the bed of the truck was a mess. When I returned the truck I put more gas in it than it had when I started, although the attendant said it was not enough gas and MADE me put 5$ more into the tank. based in this experience I will NEVER use UHAUL again.

Rating:

Gentleman was real friendly and polite. I would refer all my friends in the Butner area that's moving to visit this location.
