Richard BThe local branch service was good as usual. But the truck engine light was on the whole time in our 5 hour usage. And the windshield needs replacing from some previous impact. Also, this truck is obviously from America, making the secondary KPH speedometer reading VERY hard to read on this sunny trip because the digits are quite small and shaded.
Mathew VThe entire uhaul experience with edmonton and calgary locations was horrible. Multiple times I was given false information about drop off. I was given a 100$ “discount” for the inconvenience of picking my truck up FROM THE CITY I AM MOVING TO and the fuel for the extra trip was over 100$ anyway. I am extremely dissatisfied and will not recommend any uhaul location or service in the future.

Glen DMy comment is with U-Haul in general. I chose U-Haul because of the one way rental policy. Instead I was informed at this location that I had to return the dolly to the same location. This was not outlined on the website when I booked it the day before. Had I known this I would have booked at a different location close to the destination since I was starting from that area. Instead it caused me an additional 8okms and 1 hour of travel and time. Not happy! Please make sure you disclose everything for online bookings.
Ian HStaff was wonderful, however the trailer had issues. We rented a vehicle hauler and the ratchet straps that go over the front tires were not long enough to reach the actual ratchet....also one of the tires was completely bald on the inside. Overall just didn't seem very safe.

Daniel MBumper was falling off and should not have been road worthy. Check engine light on and not cleaned out in cab or box. Mileage out was wrong and had to have changed. Staff didn’t care about condition and safety of vehicle and would not exchange it. I no choice but to take the unit and do a temp fix on the bumper so it would not fall off and cause further damage to unit or other drivers. Called and left message to site and no return call

Brandon PSelf pick up is a lie as I still needed to go the office, I was originally quoted at $75 my total came to $183 when the day was done They charged a $60 "deposit" due to my banks credit cards being incorrectly classified as a pre paid card Returned the U-Haul on time though we had to make an extra trip so a few more KM then we originally stated and suddenly I lose my "deposit" and have an additional $20 charge added on The whole process of checking in took almost an hour because I had a warning in my account apparently I was late dropping off a u haul nearly 10 years ago I wasn't by the way the location was closed when we dropped it off I had to then call their head office to get the notice removed U haul is anti consumer in the worst way And I will not be using their services ever again you're better off using budget truck rentals or literally any other company

Fred BThe reason for the poor rating is because the fellow working at the front desk was miserable. He shuffled in at 5mins to 8am didn’t acknowledge myself waiting in the dark, proceeded to stand there for 5mins in silence and then waited until 8:05 to check me in.. looked and acted like he hated his job. Then after going through everything didn’t advise me that I had to put a dolly in my truck, I was told by a U-Haul rep the night before the equipment would be in the truck so I drive off and then had to return to pick it up.. there was no apology just a grunt and a response “take one there” Fees are also extremely misleading.. great sales tactic at $19.99/truck but ridiculous amount for kms. I drove to and from storage 13kms each way and my bill was $90+!!! Crazy! Also, the rep who’s checks the customer in should really let you know to watch for the text that will follow shortly that you have to open and take photos of the vehicle before driving away.. another crazy thing that a customer is having to do prior to driving.. this should be done by the employer prior to assigning that vehicle to someone.. the last thing the person moving wants to be doing is taking photos and spending time acknowledging the truck is in good condition.. why should this be the customers responsibility.. what has occurred from the time the previous rental returned it/inspected and the new renter drives off? Seems very strange and time consuming.. and asking you to take a photo of the roof?? Really? Come on, who is climbing on top of the vehicle to get a clear shot of the roof!
