STEPHEN WThey didn't have my 75-in TV box that I paid for and now I'm waiting on a refund for that think it was $32.81 I think I have to go look at my bank statement there was glass in the back of the truck I had to clean out before I could put my stuff in it and they were not very friendly there
Shelly WThis is basically a a meth motel. We are in a very small town / rural area, in the short time we were there the police circled the building several times. The best way I can explain it is: if my wife or daughter needed to get a truck i wouldn’t allow them to go there alone. Paul McHargue

KIM AMake a new building and grounds for the uhaul business, because going into the hotel to do business can be a little confusing. There is a lot adjacent to the hotel that looks abandoned that can be converted into a business office.

rosa bIt was very odd to pick up a uhaul at a hotel, but it served the purpose. The building itself was a little on the disorganized side. It is not a hotel I would stay in at all. We had an appointment to pick the trailer up at 1100, and still had to wait 15 minutes for the "one guy" who was able to finish the paperwork to show up. I would recommend training the other employees to be able to process a rental as well.

Clancey Pthis motel had lots of people hanging around the outside, I had to unload a full 6X12 trailer in the parking lot and reload it into a different trailer with these people watching my every move. I felt very unsafe and uncomfortable. Uhaul was supposed to have the new trailer waiting when the tow truck got there but the uhaul area was closed. The clerk and the hotel told me it close at 3:00 P.M. and it was after 4:00 when the tow truck arrived with the disabled trailer. Uhaul was suppose to have someone to help me transfer my load but no one was there, I have to do it myself. It was a very nerve racking experience.
Barry DNot this locations fault, but I had a reservation in a town about 20 miles from there first. Went there and the unit was not there. So, I went to the next guy in that same town, he was not there. Ended up having to drive back to Marion to get the unit. Didn't have the blankets or boxes I ordered. Poor experience overall. The location itself is a very sketchy no-tell motel that I wouldn't recommend anyone going into. Guy was nice and very helpful though.

MARILYN TThe staff was polite and very competent. The location, an Econolodge hotel, seems to have a large number of homeless people lodging there. In addition, there is alcohol for sale behind the counter and video gaming. I would return to this location, but I would not recommend it to most people because they would be put off by the environment.

Jennifer DThe equipment I rented was a 5x8 tow trailer, and all of my belongings inside were soaking wet and destroyed. They told me nothing could be done other than filing a claim. Do not rent from this location!!
Zach BWell first alot. I rented my uhal at a different location for a in person rental. I showed up and NO ONE WAS THERE. Even called the location. I had to call the 1800 on website. They said on the call “that it was his bad cause he forgot to send his worker out there for me” for my rental. When i booked it a month in advance. They sent me to a different UHAL location in the same town. Which was one i didn't one to rent from cause it was in a hotel that is roach infested. I know this for a fact cause i had a friend that use to stay there. And before i even rented the uhal i asked if they had tap to pay. I get to my payment and they didnt. I had to use a physical card. Overall all this pushed me over 1 hour behind to move. It was a very poor experience. All they did to make up for it was knock 50 bucks off my rental. I will never rent from uhal again. This whole experience was handled very poorly and im very unhappy. I would rather take several tips moving in a pickup than ever renting from uhal again.

LARRY HThere was no communication, no explanation of prices or even a drop off location added so I couldn’t return the truck properly , then those U-Haul dealers were out of country till April , $700 for 7 hours, charged me 2 days and I returned it in perfect condition with extra gas . I have used uhaul my entire adult like so 20 years plus and I will never use them again .

PLANT JThe truck I rented had a problem in the roof of the cab. As soon as I got on the interstate and increased speed to 50, it was a metal pounding as loud and fast as if a machine gun was going off. It was horrible. We pulled off at first exit and couldn’t find anything causing it. When we got to Carlyle Illinois I stopped at a uhaul dealership on 127 to see if we could switch trucks but they didn’t have one. He suggested that I take it to Izaak repair, an authorized U-Haul repair and he didn’t want to try and get a work order so we had to continue with it. I explained it to the gentleman at the Marion dealership and he just said thanks for telling him. This noise was horrific. I really feel we should be compensated for this in an adjustment to my fee.
DEBRA OThe man. Took key. Was aware if some issues. We informed him truck need to be worked on by an actual mechanic. In a real shop. This was a stressful experience. He said thank you and we left

Cesar RI rented a truck for a rate of 29.95 per day. Thought I only needed for 4 hours. I returned after 7 hours. I was charged an additional $60 for rental for using more than 4 hours. When checking truck out the person at the desk asked what time I would return. I estimated 2pm. He did not inform me at that time I would pay more if I returned later. I never r received my contract in email as promised. My reservation said nothing about a rate for a rental period. The rate quoted was $29.95 per day plus mileage. The mileage charge was $20. The rental cost for truck ended up being $89 not $29.95. He also charged me double for the moving insurance as well. Very dishonest business. Will be filing a claim to uhaul for overage charge and notifying Better Business Bureau and state’s attorney for deceptive business practices.

Simon BThe uhaul place is ran out if a hotel that houses most of Marion's meth heads. Will not be using this service again. Horrible. And I never got paid back for the milage I didn't drive when estimated mileage was 80 miles and I only drove truck 70 miles
