NOEMI MUpon picking up the U-Haul vehicle, I noticed that it had not been cleaned. Additionally, I felt that the late return fee was excessive; being charged $55 for just two extra hours seemed unwarranted.

Federico B2 things. The locations/establishment was great. However the way the trucks were parked was bad. My truck was blocking another truck. When I arrived, the person who rented the truck parked in front of me was so relieved. She told me if I had not gotten there, she didn’t know how she would take her truck out. Lastly, I thought the keys would be in the truck since I chose to do everything on the app. I could have missed something so that’s not on the Business.

Ejay EImprove the u-haul app so I can do my check in / ID verification and return of the u-haul truck on the app. Why have an app if you direct people onto the site? The location was confusing as well. I got to the front, but there were no trucks at the front. The sign should say, u-hauls located in the back and to see the Emporium cashier/clerk to get the key. I thought I was at the wrong location. The check-in process should've sent automated reminders to check in 24 hours in advance as well. I am not a frequent u-haul truck user, so it would've been nice to be reminded to check in before, rather than arriving to the u-haul location and checking in there.
Alexander HWhen I reserved, I wasn't sure if the website was working, so I called Emporium to ask. Someone I talked to on the phone confirmed that my reservation was there. When I went to pick it up, it was not. Luckily, I was able to reserve it for a half hour later.
Natasha STo start, I should not have had to drive to a different location further away to pick up our rental. The location is a very low end facility, which was very unorganized and not clean. We had to go to the back of the facility which was junky and back the truck out between two vehicles and scattered junk. The attendant was cordial at best but not very customer friendly. I asked the attendant if the truck was full of fuel, he stated that it was but it only had 3/4 of a tank. (aggravating). I later read that was acceptable. I left the truck at ZZ Auto with a FULL tank of gas, This facility gives U Haul a very low end representation

Jonathan Fthis is not a dedicated uhaul location but a gas station. the location of the trucks r sometimes in precarious positions. they should be parked for easy access. I'm almost damaged it just getting it out. the pro is location to where I lived.

I asked them to call someone and you would have thought I was asking for them to do the move for me. Once a staff member arrived, the check out process seemed easier and faster than any U-Haul location I have ever been to before but, the lack of having staff there to help, was frustrating. I am not sure I would recommend this location.

Long TIt felt sketchy renting a truck from a gas station. The guy helping me didn't have a computer, so we had to do the paperwork on his phone. I signed it without reading because it felt so weird to be using his personal phone. It also took forever. There was less than half a tank of gas in the truck, so my husband took a picture to make sure we wouldn't get charged. There was a furniture dolly and a hand truck left in the back of the truck, which we had said we wouldn't need. Also, the back of the truck was left wide open! We didn't notice until we got to our destination. We were lucky not to have lost the furniture dolly and a hand truck (which we didn't know were in the back). Hopefully nothing else had been left behind, because that surely fell out while we were driving. THEN, when we returned the truck to the Brookline UHaul location, they were surprised that we had two keys (on two separate fobs). It turned out that the gas station rental location in Roslindale had accidentally given us the key to another vehicle in addition to our own.

IAN DHad to take time off work to correct the employee of the error that he had made with the return mileage and was instructed to contact Uhaul. Employee would not open van door to confirm the mileage had been wrong. Uhaul representative instructed the employee to open the van to where they noticed the mileage indeed had been an error. Employee reported 70 miles over the original. Now I have to wait for a refund. Employee was very unprofessional and customer service was awful. I would never rent from the location again.
Omar OHave an employee on-site when the business supposedly opens at 8 am. Have website that works so one could actually use on-line pickup & drop-off. Don’t leave clients standing in front of the business for 20 minutes waiting for an employee to get out of bed & drive over.

Zulika SThe UHaul smelled like cattle. I am certain that someone had transported cattle in it before we used it as the smell is so distinct. The back of the UHaul was also dirty and had dirt and grass. Overall I won’t recommend UHaul to friends.

Jianghe NGreat that this location has gas fill-up for a final top-off prior to returning. A little bit hard to maneuver around, especially given other cars. Would be helpful to have a dedicated space for larger trucks.
Simona LThis has nothing to do with location or the uhaul truck itself. I want to just let you know about your customer service. I had spoke with 3-4 different representatives who could not seem to help me. What happened was I was not able to get through to check out the truck on my mobile device and every representative told me that there wasn’t much they could do besides having me refresh my internet and delete my search. I asked them if I could give them my order number to assist but they said they couldn’t do anything on their end. It was a terrible experience overall and would not recommend this to anyone.
Peter LTerrible place to drop off a U-haul. For starters, the place looks like an absolute dump. There was garabage everywhere and no organization or direction for where you’re suppose to drop off the truck. Since I didn’t know where to drop the truck off, I had to ask an employee who was hesitant to let me drop the truck off since there was little to no space at this location. I dropped the truck off in a back trash-filled alley. Mobile drop off wasn’t working and the staff was of no help. When I asked them how I drop the truck off, they refused to take the truck even though it was clearly stated that I picked this place to drop the truck. After ignoring me a few minutes, they finally realized they were wrong and accepted the truck from me. This place should not be a u-haul drop off location.

Evan PI fear I may have been over billed the attendant never reported that I returned the van on time, actually early! I’ve gotten two calls. Where is the van? I can’t believe this is typical service. I’m still concerned about over charges and looking for someone to call me back and clarify.
alyssa kHad to wait 15 minutes for the rep to show up for work. Then he completed the pick-up in some manner that did not allow me to do the self-inspection, take photos, confirm gas and mileage, etc. I got charged $9.20 for gas at the drop-off location, even though I delivered it with more gas than when I picked up the truck.

Brian CIf the uhual is 20$ a day and I only went 23 miles and paid 68$ to have it till 8:30 am on Sunday that was an overcharge then I drop it off and they try and charge me 260 for keeping an extra two days should be 40$ 60$ most not an extra 260 I didn't drive any miles during that time just had fridge couldn't lift without help so had it parked in front the house for those days! I've called and been on hold thirty minutes I also called the first day and said I was over charger and the milage was wrong and the rude lady was just like you haven't been charged yet only a hold on the card but was still over charger don't even have a receipt stating why I'm being charged 260 I will never pay y'all 260 for keep the vehicle amd extra day that's crazy when it's 19.95 if there is no miles I also had no dollys or any equipment
Kimberly DThe van that I picked up at a broken side mirror that was duck taped up that kept needing to be readjusted while driving, the inside smelled horrible like bad cleaning solution and there was multiple scratches dents and damage are on the outside. When I got there I had to go into a back alley to pick up the U-Haul overall would never rent from here again ever. There’s also very little gas in the van no windshield wiper fluid, and the gauges for the battery power and the oil were very low and the driver side cigarette plug didn’t work.

Nihal CFirst of all the truck was not there until about 8:15-20, so i already waited 20 for it to show up. Only to have the guy try and tell me that i ordered something completely different than what i had. He then said he was going to figure it out and stepped out back. After another 15 minutes, I went outside to find him vaping sitting in one if the vans, with the other two 10’ trucks running just wasting gas. He then proceed to avoid all of my questions, turned off the trucks when i confronted him. I didnt get my truck until 8:41 for a 8:00am reservation.
Parker STalk to the customer, don't just stare at your phone all the time. Explain the process. Act interested, even you're obviously not. When the vehicle is returned, let the customer know what the final cost will be, don't just say "you're done". Stop staring at your phone all the time.

Donna SAwful!!!! The van was dirty with damaged in which I documented. The staff was so unprofessional. NEVER again at that location. I wanna know how does $19.99 cost me almost $70 ???? That website keep crashing when I wanted to upload proof.
Tammy NI only went there because it had availability on short notice. Not very convenient for me, and the staff are quite disinterested. Not rude at all, just not interested. I waited 15 minutes (no other customers were there) just to be checked in to get my vehicle. The check-in process itself was fine, but definitely not the same level of professionalism as I receive on the phone with a u-haul representative or at a u-haul owned location. Again, nothing to complain about except the unnecessary waiting to check-in, but worth noting that this experience is quite different from the experience with staff employed directyl by u-haul
Joseph MThe truck was located in a sketchy backyard near smelly landfilled with piles of old tires and the truck park very close between another car and fence which made difficult for me to drive out of the location - I would not recommend this location to anyone- I’ll never again use Uhaul -

Jim FMileage wouldn’t display on speedometer and attendant didn’t even inspect gas level (before or after trip) or even inspect vehicle condition when I returned it. Had there have been unexpected charges I would have had to return to dispute them, likely to be referred to corporate. Too much at risk to deal with a location that operates in this fashion.
Lance MThere were issues with the van I rented the warning lights were on. I believe if the van was instected prior to my rental the issues would've been resolved. As a renter I don't have time to waste repairing a van I have for a limited time. The "staff" didn't seem to interested during my transaction. It appeared I was more of a bother than a paying customer. If there was another rental office in the immediate area I would've gone to it for my transaction.

He tried to upsell me and asked if I wanted to travel to another Wilmington in another state — going as far to indicate in some records (I received a call from Uhaul) that I was traveling to Wilmington, CT.
