Staff were rather rude and poor at communicating return of the trailer, time of return not clearly communicated- overall very disappointing and called into corporate to discuss- still waiting to hear back

Customer service was poor. I was charged $15 for the safe move coverage which i didn't asked for . I wasn't explained about the coverage charges and upon asking the receipt I was told call the Uhaul and ask for your refund
INDERDEEP SPickup and drop off locations were not what I reserved. With less than 24 hours before pickup, U-Haul changed it to a location 35 miles away. U-Haul did the same with the drop off location. With less than 24 hours notice, they changed it to a location 25 miles away. This ended up being an additional 120 miles and over $30 in fuel. If I had known the 2 locations ahead of time, I would not have rented the trailer. I feel like a victim of a bait and switch scam.

Take time to review rented equipment defects. * the truck was reasonably clean. * I thought it was good for a rented U-haul truck with good weather; it worked fine for us. * our truck was not water tight, if we had been moving in the rain it would have presented a problem. * our lock key did not operate the pad lock on the back of the truck; good thing we did not need to lock it (double check during check out). 3. Take time to review and photograph equipment prior to use. * Scratches / broken items should be noted. 4. Review potential additional charges. * we didn't expect dollies or blankets; however, they could be offered or lock-up in truck. * we didn't expect add on cleaning fees for specs of debris on a floor mat. 5. Review initial charges/ request receipt upon completion of check-in. * we didn't expect our on-line selections to be altered.
NICKOLAS SThe lady that assisted me in my opinion, was rude at the end when I dropped off my equipment. There were blankets and a dolly left in the U-Haul when I originally rented it. I used one of the blankets, and then she commented that I was never supposed to use them originally. The fact that the blankets and the dolly were left in the U-Haul leads me to believe that they did not check the U-Haul when it was returned from the previous people that rented it. I believe I was charged more than I should’ve been. The rental was $19 in mileage was $15 but my total I believe was 50 or $55. Rather than reaching out to the U-Haul I just accepted the charge because I did not want to deal with her again. My opinion, she needs to work on her customer service

VALERIE RThis review is for U-Haul, not EPIC Auto Repair. After picking up my rental and loading up for our oneway trip, I received a call telling me I had a new drop -location. The new location took me 45 minutes out of my way when returning home. I was told I had no choice. The reason behind the change? Too many vehicles at the Valley Springs location (where we wanted to drop it off) so they made us drop it off in Lodi instead. This was an inconvenience to the customer to accommodate a business need.
Rick CI asked for a specific equipment when I called to reserve the rental. When I asked for it the person told me they did not have it.
ROSEMARY S2 people in the office 1 man 1 women. Women says to leave the key and already to go. I asked for a rental inspection and was told not available,. Was not able to verify my gas or condition of vehicle. Got a charge for gas. I know I left it exactly at 3/8. So no on Epic. Real loser place. Remind me of white trash All my other experience with U-Haul has been top notch. Good luck Epic, boo
Charles SThis is an auto body shop that reluctantly deals with U-Haul customers. There's no location to enter, no bathroom to use, it's just a place to drop off. They did not close out my rental, and because of this I was charged for two days. So far (a month later) these charges still have not been reversed.
J WDidn't ask me the type of insurance charged the most expensive. Misrepresented multiple items. I thought the rental date was one day but she put in another day and I got a very rude call from U-Haul corporate who apparently thought I was in another state because for move a four blocks she was trying to charge me one way rates and yelling at me that the truck wasn't returned when what I had asked for was a different day!! I've used U-Haul every month for work and this is my second time giving them a try in the last month for my personal needs and I will never use you all again. Not for work not for personal!

Lakhbir PHad to sweep out the back of the truck before I could put any of my things in there, dirt or manure was sweeper out be me, engine light stayed on called them to tell them they said drive it it’s the gas cap, first day I seen 138.00 on my debit card then the next day I seen $168.00 both where pending on my account, then three days later I see a charge $68.00 charge, last but not least your asking for another 110.00, please explain my email: shellydlucas@gmail.com
SHELLY LI've been a small business owner for 30 years, so I'm well aware of how someone at the front desk of a business can really make an impression, both good and bad, to a client. The lady at the front counter to be honest acted like she really didn't want to be there, and while I tend to be a bit more forgiving than most since I work with all different types of clients myself, it was a pretty unfriendly experience. I even asked on my bill that was emailed to me why there was a $15 damage waiver charge on my bill even though I specifically waived every one of the options and all I got was being told very curtly that I need to call the U-Haul 800 number to rectify it. Not the way my employees talk to our customers, that's for sure.

KENNETH WI have always used Uhaul for myself and friends. There were three of us moving me and boyfriend 1 mile away (local) and we were all over 60 yrs and each of us on disability. Due to kids not wanting to help us, I brought the truck back 1 hr and 40 minutes late and was charged $30.00 extra which really affected my budget for the month. I understand the rules but at our age it just took a little longer. I also have always added extra gasoline before being delivered. Disappointed.
LeeAnn YThis uhaul is in a dead area from a network perspective, couldn’t get app or webpage to load or work for check in and check out. Location doesn’t offer WiFi. No place to park uhaul upon return. Not an easy experience by any means and I’ve utilized uhaul self check in and out quite a bit.

KURT KI reserved a 20 ft truck with a lift. We had a lot of heavy items. The truck was not available upon pickup. I had reserved this truck in advance. We ended up having to rent a 10ft truck with no ramp or lift. Endless trips, lifting heavy items because of no lift. Horrible, nothing available elsewhere in the vicinity.

JOHN CThe outside of the van was very dirty and I had to clean all the windows myself before my trip. The inside was OK. There was an error code for tire pressure and after several minutes of troubleshooting by one of their mechanics I was told it was the tire sensor. Should still have been fixed before renting. I was not given any instructions in use of the van and was just handed the keys. Staff was less than forthcoming with information with how the whole process works and just told me when I dropped it off I would get an email.

JOSEPH GTire tiedowns were rust and had to be WD40'd before I could use them. No safety pin was used for trailer hitch to lock down ball, so I purchased a 3 1/2 1/4" screw and nuts to provide additional safety. Even though I had reservation, Epic said they could not guarantee they would have an auto transport on their site. I had a reservation scheduled for pickup at 10AM and went onsite to sign contract and asked it is could pick the trailer up at the end of the day. They said I had to pick up trailer as a part of signing contract. They assured me there would not be any issue with picking the trailer up at the end of the day. When I arrived to pick up the contract, I found that contract was cancelled because I did not pick up the trailer at 10AM. This has been a real nightmare and I will never use this vendor again!

MAX SIt would have helped if the van had been cleaned of some sticky wet substance that someone else left. We covered it with 1 of the pads we rented, but it really needed to be mopped out. Other than that, the van was tidy and reasonably clean.

richard sI made a reservation and went to the location. The trailer I reserved was not there and there were none. The location owner quickly got on the phone and found us one…. 45 min away. We were not pleased about the drive or the trailer not being at the location. And it was at no fault of the business owner. He was amazing. The U-Haul process is who we find fault with.

Renee HWhen moving the furniture from the U-Haul onto our brand new carpet that we spent thousands on, we ended up with grease/oil stains on our carpet!!!! We have not been able to get the stains out and are very disappointed that this was caused by some substances left behind in the U-Haul!!!!
karl nThey couldn't check me in, I needed my phone, and it took several tries to get the app to work. They did come out and hooked me up, but it was implied. that I was to hook it up myself.
George BThe issue with the location is that it opens at 10:00 unlike other locations. However, kudos to the guy that helped me. He was there at 9:35 and helped me out even before openings time. I am very grateful to him since I would have been late for work otherwise.

Raul EThe U-Haul website was a disappointment: it quoted one price but then confirmed a higher price (I have screenshots available to demonstrate this software-coding bug... presuming there is an actual human-- who cares-- reading this). And furthermore, upon completing the Online Check-in, I was simply dumped back to the main menu-- no indication whatsoever that the check-in process was successful, no confirming email, nothing!-- just one more stressor to add to the already stressful experience of moving! Surprised and disappointed to discover that U-Haul, with its vaunted name, has such a lame website! Fortunately, the people at my local renting location were able to assuage my concerns, and the final price worked out correctly.

MARK KThey made me park and unhook the car trailer with no help from anyone. That’s not my job. Then I asked for a hard copy and was told they couldn’t do that. Was told I would get a email saying that the order was closed. I’m older and old fashioned, I want paper receipts.
