I have very bad experience with the U-haul.My Story start with the U-haul when I reserved a truck from New Brunswick to Ontario,I deserve this truck in advance 2 weeks, Day before that I have fly to New Brunswick. I got a call from U-Haul and they are telling me that the truck I reserve it's not available in that location.And they are offering me a small truck which I refused because that was not according to my requirements,And after they told me that truck is available in a Fredericton which is 250 km far from my original location. They give me two options or I have to cancel my reservation or I have to go pick this truck from Fredericton, I don't have any option other than I have to go pick up this truck from for Fredericton,As I already booked my airplane ticket and I already set up everything there to pick my stuff from there, They give me some discount but that was not even enough to cover the gas price from Fredericton to Moncton which was the originally location, As that location close 5PM, but I told them that I will be 6PM there. They told you have to do mobile check-in, I reached there 6PM, but unfortunately at that location was no telephone signal no internet and there was no even Wi-Fi available.As that loction was in remote area. I try to walk from there to find the signal, But still I don't have internet access, I tried to call you Hall and I explained my situation and I requested if they can help me to do check-in so I can get my keys but they don't want to help they told that you have to do by yourself or you have to wait till tomorrow morning there to get the keys. This customer service is useless, I talked with 1 hour 37 minutes with the three different persons, but nobody helped me, And then after I walked 5 km to get internet access and finally I did a check in online and come back 5 km at the location to get the key to take the truck, When I start driving from there, and I noticed that that truck don't have even Cruise control function, I drove that truck 1500 km without Cruise Control Function, U-Haul fully torture me financially physically and mentally, And end of my trip I did calculation. I spent way more which they gave me estimate, This is my first and last time that I am using U-Haul. So, pleaseThink before you rent or Reserve any U-Haul, you will be also stressed and mentally torture. They blackmail you because they just threatening you that they can cancel the reservation, Their customer service is useless. They don't want to even help you at all.

First location wasn’t able to find the key to return the truck so after many calls to Uhaul. Being hung up on and have a truck cancelled. I really feel you need better customer service. Moving is already extremely stressful. When Uhaul isn’t a simple pickup it stresses the customer out more. I was told I’d get a discount because of the mix up and truck not being available and having to drive to another location but I don’t think I received that discount. The pickup at the second location went a lot smoother. Only reason I’d recommend this pickup location to a friend. But the truck was dirty inside with broken tobacco inside cup holders and garbage left on the floor from previous renter.

LINDA KThe location I rented the truck from was great the people at 1230 lambs road in Bowmanville were awesome. Great people. Truck was fine. The only was the final price. You see 19.99 but after everything (and I only had the truck for an hour) it was 75.00. Way more than 19.99. I expected some hidden costs but not that much. And yes I put more gas back in it than I used so no fee for that.

DENIS LTruck should not be road legal. Transmission problems caused load to shake. Charged 'after-hours' fee though not specified on original booking. Location closed at 3 pm...would have booked elsewhere.
WILLIAM FWe went to pick up the UHaul in Campbellford Pete’s Auto and Truck on Friday as planned and confirmed multiple times the truck was there but the shop was closed. Why would U-Haul provide us a rental at a place that was closed? This resulted in us getting sent to Belleville for a smaller truck as there was no big trucks around. This cause us multiple trips 2 hours away. This is not okay. Do not book trucks that do not exist. Very disappointed ruined our move.
