I needed to drop off the trailer after hours. I was not told how to do this when I picked up the trailer. I started reading the small print on the contract and it let me to the web site that showed me how to drop off the trailer without help. Once I found the information, the drop off was easy, but you need to let your customers know how to do it or put it in much bigger letters on the contract. I really like the service of Uhaul, but just a little tweeking would be very helpful.Lanny R.

I have used uhaul for all my moves. This time was not great. I placed an order for a 20 foot truck to be picked up in canon city and paid for it in full $900...and 2 days before pick up my location is changed from canon city to Colorado Springs. I was moving from Buena vista so changing the location made it a day long venture just to get the truck. I called EZ ship and a man answered I began to explain I have a contract with uhaul for that truck to be picked up in canon city and he was very rude told me he was the only location that had the truck and they couldn't do anything for me. I asked that they drive the truck to canon city at least so it's still being picked up where my CONTRACT states it would be again he said they don't do that and he would have dispatch call me...not only did no one from dispatch ever call but we ended up having to go to springs to pick up the truck anyway. My mother Carol Skoda was the pick up person and went to true value in canon city when Chris Smarr the uhaul Corp representative was there and he was trying to help us out he was going to go to Colorado Springs and get the truck however EZ ship wouldn't allow that either...EZ ship need to have uhaul pulled off their trucks because I personally will not use uhaul again because of this locations actions and lack there of. The gentleman at this location was ready at the door and met me outside before being able to go in. He inspected the truck briefly before informing me that his computers were down so he was not able to give me a copy of the receipt but will have it emailed as soon as he could. Which was not helpful seeing that the representative at the pick-up location had everything setup under his name. Very suspicious seeing how he has my credit card information and I had trouble with u-haul in finding the information needed to drop off rental equipment which is when I was informed that the entire rental agreement was put under his name and not my own.richard S.

Box truck we rented didn't have ramps!!! we didn't realize until it was too late and my husband and I had to heave a large refrigerator in the back without ramps. Then we couldn't stand up said refrigerator in the box truck. It wasn't tall enough. Very disappointing since this was supposed to be easy with a appliance dolly and ramps. What kind of moving truck doesn't have ramps?Jon F.

The person who provided the trailer was very pleasant, but the trailer itself was absolutely horrible. After picking it up, I returned to the rental location as it was so noisy and honestly rattled my teeth. The attendant told me the noise would go away after I loaded it. While it was less noisy, I suffered with this for 15 hours - squeaking, loud rattling, and I think the suspension was shot as it bounced several times with each bump. She told me this was an old trailer - do these ever get retired? I honestly would not buy this trailer for the cost of the rental.STANLEY S.

I received a notification from my identity monitoring service that my driver's license information has been compromised. Ironically, this was very shortly after U-Haul had me do online checkin prior to picking up my trailer. Online checkin requires that you upload a photo of your driver's license. I'll never do that again. Thanks U-Haul, for allowing my privacy act information to be compromised. Very disappointed in your cybersecurity.Daniel W.

Service is good and truck was clean. HOWEVER - am giving poor ratings on the equipment maintenance the gas gauge is (I believe purposely) set-up to be inaccurate. I got ripped off on gas refill. Here's what happened: I rented the truck with "FULL TANK" of gas and was given instructions to refill it to FULL upon return. I checked the fuel gauge when the truck was warming up and saw the needle was indeed on "F". I only drove the truck 30 miles. Filled the tank with as much as it could hold and it took TEN GALLONS to fill it up! I couldn't believe it! I looked at the gauge and it was way past the "F". I was in too big of a hurry with my moving (had a ride waiting for me in the parking lot) so didn't say anything when returning the truck - but called the guy shortly after drop-off to tell him about this. I said "That would mean the truck only gets 3 miles per gallon! Something is wrong here..." His reply: "We'll have a mechanic look at it." The fuel guage on the truck I rented was obviously monkied with and is set up to look like the needle is on F when it is about 7 gallons low. People who are told to fill it up are buying an extra 7 gallons of gas to avoid a penalty. A lose/lose situation. We only hauled 3 pieces of furniture and a matress set. Truck was about 3/4 empty = NOT a heavy load. According to U-Haul specs the 15' truck gets an avg of 10 MPG and has a 40 gallon tank. Lesson learned with ANY rental: slowly add gas until te gauge on the dash goes back to where it was upon pickup. Do not pump gas until no more fits.MARK D.

I feel I was overcharged. I wanted to bring the trailer back early Saturday morning rather than last thing Friday. I would nnopt be able to get the trailer back until 1.5 hours after closing. I was told that if I go 1 minute over 24 hours that is an extra day (twice the cost). Then I was told that even though I am paying for a extra 24 hours because I could not have it back by closing on Friday, I had to have the trailer back by 11:00!. Didn't I pay for a additional 24 hours? That would have been 4:30. I will make every effort to not rent from Uhall again.CLIFFORD J.

They told me I had the rental for two days...i went to another location to pick it up around 5pm...they said they had me down to bring it back at 230 am...Ridiculous!!!....so they gave me to 3pm...it ruined alot of stuff I had planed...very disappointed..and no one even seamed to care!!SARAH P.

Allowed me to pick it up early. Found a monster energy drink, and dummies through out the truck. Noticed wrong drop off location and was told I could drop off anywhere even though I requested Surprise, AZ it stated Peoria which was a farther drive. Will say the truck handled very well and without issue. average 8.8 - 8.9 miles per gallon.Glenn B.
