Uhaul should be equipped with ezpass in every car and customer billed. Also be sure to inform customer how to travel on Nys thruway without pass and expect bill. I had to call in after I picked up vehicle.BRIDGETMARY B.
The truck actually was ok but it was old and wasn't completely cleaned out. Empty cups and stuff rolling around behind the seat. Staff was very friendly and helpful and truck was ready for us when we got there a couple of hours early.LAURAM P.

There was a smell in the truck and the window wipers were useless and dangerous in the rain. The smell ended up coming from cat litter and feces from a previous customer.BENJAMINJACOB G.

I made my reservation for July 31 and when I arrived, the place was shut down with a notice on the door that they were closed until August 2. I was then on hold with the 800 U-Haul number for well over half an hour before somebody picked up and supposedly transferred me to reservations at which time I was placed in the on hold queue again. If it hadn't been for a God-sent U-Haul service truck driving down the road, I would've been completely screwed on moving day. He was able to cut a key and get me in the truck within 10 minutes. I am deeply grateful to that man, but I will never recommend anyone go to the U-Haul service at the location in East Rochester.Elena C.

Wouldn't put any blame on the location I rented the uhaul from. However, the back of the uhaul smelled really bad like animals. Most likely from a previous renter. The location was great and super helpful.Jacob James L.
I had a very frustrating experience. I don't think it would have been as bad if it had been an actually brick and mortar U-Haul (which I didn't know it wasn't), this location had many U-haul trucks at an auto repair sharp. It was after 5 and no one was around. I was using the app to pick up the truck I reserved. I don't know if it was the app or truly the reception, but either way, the app kept saying there was no connection and to reload which then forced me to start over. This happened numerous times in the pick up and delivery process, turning what should have been a quick and easy 5 minute experience, into a 20-30 minute, extremely aggravating process. Once I finally got the keys and got into the cab, it reeked of cigarette smoke, and was dirty. Not awful, but residue in the cup holders, what looked like spilled coffee or mud stains on the seat, and besides a small little bottle of hand sanitizer, no wipes or other antibacterial cleaning materials to use. Given normal times, this would be understandable, but with COVID, it would have been nice if there was some disinfecting wipes in the cab. Upon returning the truck, again, the app was not work effectively. In both pick up and drop off, you have to take pictures to upload (in the moment, you can't choose from you camera roll), and the app wasn't uploading my pictures. On the 7th attempt, after getting out of the cab to get better reception did it upload and allow me to continue the check out process. Additionally, due to a lack of inventory at the U-Haul nearest me, I had to choose this location which added on mileage and inconvenience. If absolutely necessary, I would try use U-Haul again, but I would not go to this location, nor use the app; I would go to a stand alone U-Haul location.Aubree M.

We made sure to fill the gas tank back up to where the meter was initially before returning the truck only to still be charged $42 extra for gas. When we brought up our concerns with the workers at the front desk of the auto shop, they called a U-Haul representative who claimed that they were taking that charge off our total since we definitely filled the gas tank up and were mistakenly being charged extra by the system. I confirmed with them that â€œTomâ€ the representative would be calling us to confirm that we were in fact not being charged extra and that never happened. Our total ended up being almost $200 which is not anywhere near what we were quoted when I first rented our truck from the website. This is for a move within the same town and I am very unsatisfied with my experience with UHaul. I doubt I will be a returning customer after our most recent move and I won't be recommending this company specially with going through any third-party truck pickup locations again. Shady business practice to claim that we wouldn't be charged extra only to then never uphold that statement.JASONMARK D.

Even though I had a 24 hour rental and I returned it after 18 hours,I had to pay extra because I didn't get it back within the timeframe that I said I would No big deal, probably my fault, but next time I need to rent a truck for four hours, I'm still going to report that I want it for 24.PAOLO S.
