When I arrived at the origional pickup location the store was closed with a sign on the window stating they were closed until Jan 27. I phoned in to uhaul and was given another pickup location 30 miles away. When I reached the new pickup location the owner said I would have to wait an hour until he had a truck ready. In the meantime I had loaders that I had arranged through Uhaul that were waiting at my house. By the time I got the truck and arrived at my house the loaders had been waiting an hour. the moving company billed me for an extra hour. I am waiting on uhaul to refund the extra expense.James L.

I made a reservation to be picked up at the Hickory location. When I arrived there, I was informed that they did not have the truck that I had reserved Because it was still torn up and they have not gotten fixed yet. I was informed that the closest pick up that I could get another truck was 16 miles away. I drove the 16 miles to Fairway to pick up the truck that they had forwarded my reservation to him. I was told by the representative that I would have to wait about 30 minutes before he could help us cause he's busy. That has now thrown me away in behind schedule in my moving. There was no apologies from U-Haul because of their error and they certainly made no attempt and giving me any type of discount because it put me way behind schedule and had to drive 16 miles to another location just because they failed to take the truck that was torn up out of commission and out of their inventory. I am seriously dissatisfied with The way U Haul handled my reservation without even as much as an apology for their screw up!GERALD W.

We were scheduled to pick up a U-Haul truck at 6 pm using the 24/7 service via our mobile phone. The store closed at 5. We arrived approximately at 530 and the guy told us he had tried to call but none of us had received any calls or voice-mail. He then told us he couldn't help us until 9 the next morning when they opened up. We explained that we were supposed to pick it up via mobile phone but he said that they didn't do that there. He also asked if we uploaded a drivers license but the website never asked to upload it; only for the number, state, and expiration date. I also reserved the truck at another location but when I got the info to pick up it said go to Fairway Tire.Kacie P.

Not sure I it was the renting location's or U-Hauls fault but the rental location didn't know I was coming. U-Haul changed my rental pickup location the day before my rental. The new location was about 65 miles away. Spoke to several people at U-Haul and got it moved to a location about 50 miles away and for an earlier time. That information was not given to the renter or they never checked. So, I waited for about 90 minutes to get the truck. Had also rented 2 dozen blankets and the renting company said he didn't have that many for me even though there were bags of blankets in the lobby area.JAMES G.

We rented a car dolly. We literately brought it back put the car on it. The car didn't fit on it. Brought it back within 15 mins. And they won't give a refund! We didn't even use it. How is it our fault it didn't fit? The car was not in running order so we couldn't take it there to check first. It said his car would fit, we trusted their word. Never again! Now I'm out $64! The problem I had with U-Haul didn't have anything to do with the rental location. The problem was that the call center did not seem to know where the rental centers were in my pick-up location. The location identified for my pickup was in fact not a U-Haul center and I had to spend a lot of time on the phone with U-Haul helping them realize that several sites that they though represented them in fact did not. Get it together U-Haul. Fairway Tire Center in Lenoir, NC was excellent. They were very helpful and provided me with a clean fairly new vehicle for my out of town trip.John E.

I would recommend the location again but not uhaul! Paid 115 to rent the uhaul and then had to pay another almost 100 when returned it. That's crazy! Only used the uhaul for in town move. Cleaned the trailer. Left it with more gas than when I got it. And want to charge me 210 dollars total. I will never get another uhaul.BELINDA O.

I checked yes that the equipment was clean and well maintained, because overall it was. However, the weather cracking I noticed on one of the tires of the trailer ended up being an issue 2,000 miles later. It would not have been a problem for someone renting it for a smaller trip...but it could have been a huge issue for my family and I. We were lucky and so was U-haul that it didn't blow at a bad time on the road. I'm glad I checked it at our rest stop when I did.Frank Y.
Thank you for the service, Wesley was very helpful and the truck was in great condition and clean. The one thing I would recommend is for Wesley to get additional help with checking people in and out to get them on the road asap. He was the only one and when I got to the location at my scheduled time, there were others ahead, I had to wait about 30 -40 mins to gt the rental and start my day for loading and traveling.Virginia L.

The truck I ordered was not available until 3 hours after I had it schedule. The phone number on the reservation was not correct so I was not aware of this. There was a larger truck available, but there was no compensation for the larger truck. Also found that there was a wasp nest in the passenger side door jam, and my son was almost stung several times. Wesley was very polite, but said he was not able to accommodate the issues because it was a busy weekend, even-though I took a truck he did not have reserved and returned it early enough that he could rent it again that day.DENISON L.

One of the dollies we ordered was not supplied. THE MOVING HELP WE PAID FOR WERE THE WORST MOVERS WE HAVE EVER HAD. IT TOOK US TWO DAYS TO MOVE WITH MANY OTHER PEOPLE HELPING. THEY WERE ON THEIR PHONES THE ENTIRE TIME, STANDING AROUND, ETC. THEY SHOULD NEVER BE USED BY ANYONE FOR A MOVE.Marcy R.
