JAMES MComments for better services in the future: I have been renting U-Haul trucks for years. I used to walk to the Ray/Rural location to pick-up, and walked home after drop-off the rental truck. But this time, I had to ask my son to drive me to/from the Ray/Arizona location. Both the rental truck and my son's car were driven extra 10 miles, plus extra gasoline and time. Debra LThe proprietor accused me of mistreatment of vehicle saying there was a 6 inch Crack in the windshield which was a false accusation due to my witness that was traveling with me from Reno, NV to Chandler, AZ. The vehicle was returned the following fay from initial rental.
John Mlied to me about prices. told me i only had to fill it up to 1/4th then i got charged because it wasn’t 3/8th. told me i was paying .40 cents per mile but it was $1. i ended with a bill of $49.71 extra.

FRANK KWe received our truck with the gas light on. Went down the road to fill up the tank and the gas can had a huge leak and wouldn’t hold any of the gas we pumped. It flooded the cement under the truck. So unsafe and irresponsible. Would never use this location again.

STEPHANIE TI was given the keys and that was it. I'd recommend doing a walk around so the operation and condition could be covered. There was some superficial scuffs and scratches which I made note of anyway and fortunately I was familiar with the operation.

JENNIFER KI didn’t know that there was no ramp to be able to load the truck easier, it may only come with the bigger trucks but it would have been nice to know.
TAMARA CPickup was a hassle. I don’t know why I need to have multiple people verify who I was. And also take pics of my license and passport. That’s ridiculous.

Nathan MThis was the first time using the mobile app vs in person check-in and check-out. The experience wasn't pleasant. During checkout, I had to take pictures of my DL "AGAIN", a message was displayed telling me I should have received my code to unlock the box (that came several screens later), there was no notification to return the lock to the lock box containing the key, and there was no "estimate fuel" to determine how much fuel to add. Check-in was better but since I still had the lock to the lock box and didn't want to get charged a fee I attached the keys to the lock. As a result I couldn't drop the keys in the dropbox and had to wait for the office staff to return to give the key and the lock to them. So, not sure if I'll use mobile again. In person was faster where I normally go.

Michael CTruck was in awful shape. Damage on all sides and cigarette burns in the seats. Whole truck smelled like someone just smoked an entire pack of cigarettes with the windows rolled up. Gas gauge on my contract was incorrect as well. Overall not a pleasant experience.

ANTHONY AOur experience with U-haul was horrible. We had a reservation for a 26' truck rental in Phoenix Arizona. When we got to the pick up location we were told that they did not have a truck for us and sent us to another location that was 2.2 miles away. Once we got there they told us they had a truck but it was for in town only and we had a one way rental. They sent us to a 3rd location that only had a 20' truck. They charged us more for a shorter truck. Nobody seemed concerned that we were held up for 2 hours. This should have been handled so much better.

Angelina AI did not recieve the packing blankets I ordered. I spent $20+tax for two dozen of them to move my furniture and was unable to do so because I did not have the appropriate equipment I had ordered. This location was not open until 0900, so I was unable to talk to anyone about the missing blankets. I am now having to rent another van to finish getting my furniture and going to the actual U-Haul store to get the items I need to move.

Cody WYour online check in is rediculious, the verification should be done prior, or you should have someone there to maintain the situation, to have to sit and wait because it would not accept the pictures taken and have to talk to a representative and sitting on hold is not conducive to quick pick up!

Jesus GThere I was. I remember it like was yesterday. The truck was like new. Pick-up and drop-off were easy thanks to the great people that work at UHAUL. No one else needed the truck I that rented, so they even extended my drop-off time FOR NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! I will definitely be coming back next time I need a truck. Thanks again.
Joseph SYour "express check in" was a disaster. I completed the express check-in as instructed on the previous day. The email with instructions didn't arrive until I was done with my rental. Leaving me and the nice lady at Fast & Easy self storage confused. She had to call your office to get it sorted out. Instead of "saving 30 min" it cost me about 45 extra minutes.
James AYou can improve customer service by training employees on new computer systems. Employee did not know how to enter new credit card or delete old expired cc on file. So we went back to old school and hand wrote the bill..
Tracy RYou guys switched my location after giving my reserved truck away at he location I wanted. I picked that specific location as it opened at 8:00am but you switched to a location that doesn't open till 9:00am putting me behind schedule.then the new location couldn't process the transaction as your system went down which put me another 45 minutes behind schedule. Then I was given a truck with faulty transmission and A/C that didn't work (which was verified by clerk at drop off location). The truck was dirty and completely covered in mud and hundreds of dead bugs but I took truck as I couldn't wait as I was already behind schedule. Not happy at all and I showed clerk that I was promised a total rate of 132.00 but was charged over $138.00 for a reason never given even when I showed my screenshot the clerk couldn't answer why the difference in price.
Matthew BThe lady at the pick up was fine. When we dropped off the truck, the rep was nice and helpful, but it took over a hour due to someone putting the wrong price in the system, so we would have gotten overcharged. We missed our family at a funeral service and will never get that back. You need better communication between your sites and managers who work together to fix the problem in a timely manner.

Michael GProcess of completing rental truck contract was a bit slow, even though I had pre-registered for check out. I did appreciate the thorough inspection of the truck prior to departure to document existing damage.

ADRINETTE PI think that u-haul should have a military discount in honor of all those who have given their lives so that your company can serve the people of the united States of America the soldiers of the United States military don't ask for very much but what we do ask is respect for all that we have given and sacrificed
SVENJA RSue was very very slow in helping us with the contract and then I was charged for 4 gallons of gas when we only went 8 miles TOTAL! When I called she said it wasn't up to her it was corporate.

ANTHONY MMake sure the vehicle is in good working condition. Roadside assistance should always be available to answer the phone.
