It was extremely muddy and the person working had me back the trailer into a mud hole. I had to go wash my tires after. This is not a nice place.

It would be nice if the Pickup Location made sure your equipment rentals were in the back of the truck so you dont have to drive another hour out of the way to retrieve a dolly and furniture pads. This was the worst experience with Uhaul and made our move awful since we were way behind our time schedule.

It was not noted on the U-haul website that after hour drop off was not available. Judy at Fishing Creek Nursery went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. I would highly recommend renting from them. Rick Wagner Massachusetts

The inside of the cab, the cover for the engine/transmission was coming off. The heat from the engine was coming into the cab. There was no heat shield by the drivers feet.

Truck was in great shape but had some very minor problems. Would recommend them for renting from. Great people to do business with. Brief problem with AC not blowing out vents on max ac. Wipers sqeaked but first rain in weeks just heat. Ash tray had butts in it but as difficult as it was to get out can understand why but I kept trying to remove it and succeed after 1 min of trying.

I was overcharged. The staff member that assisted me was incredibly sweet and very polite but didnt seem knowledgeable about the process. Was not able to give me a price breakdown to explain why the amount was much higher than I expected via your website. I paid bc I was in a hurry but I am displeased. Also this truck got less than 11 miles per gallon, even tho your website claims 19 miles per gallon on 20ft trucks.....and yes I drove it as perfectly as I could to keep the gas consumption reasonable since it was a long trip. To make matters even worse, I rented a second uhaul yesterday from a place in Henderson that was even worse. I was charged even more for this rental even tho I was going less miles than my previous rental 2 days before. I was also not given a breakdown of those charges. I was also not "allowed" to add additional miles to my trip and had to pay for them upon my drop off of the truck. The truck I received was dirty inside (mud on the floor), mirrors were not aligned properly, the steering fluid was too low and the truck was practically on empty (not efficient to waste time stopping to put in gas at the start of your moving day). In addition, there wasn't a working bathroom inside this mobile home "modified" into a uhaul rental company office. It didn't look for feel like a proper business, especially bc I called over an hour ahead and no one was there when I arrived. I waited over 30 mins and called numerous times after driving an hour to pick up this truck.

At this point, I found nothing that should be changed. The owner was courteous, knowledgeable, and welcoming. When necessary, we will return to Fishing Creek to rent our Uhaul.

Representative wanted me to pay an additional 42.00 for the insurance after i had already paid online for the rental. I also stayed in contact with the gentleman in the morning addressing my concern of being a little late and he stated he could not hold my u-haul and if i did not show up by 11:30 from an original 9:00 am pickup he would rent out the u-haul he had on hold for me. very rude and was untrained in u haul rental process. Did not inspect the u haul prior to leaving the facility.

Drop off was an issue. When making reservation I specifically asked for an Oxford location. It was even listed that way on our print out. On the way I received a text stating drop off would be Roxboro which is out of the way, would have gone over in slotted miles. I called the 1800 number same day and after telling our dilemna, we were told to call another number and placed on eternal hold. I never did speak to anyone. The morning of drop off I called the Roxboro location and told by Thomas he would send someone out to pick it up at our residence. My husband was in route to the Oxford location. I called him told him to go back home. 1100 am still did not get a call from Thomas so I tried calling and got VM. I then had my husband call the 1800 number back to tell them their customer service was horrible. He was able to get the drop off location changed. We dropped off around 1230. I am hoping that after all is said and done I do not see late charges, mileage overage chargers or anything else. The Oxford drop off was very helpful and understanding it was all the meat in the middle that was inconvenient.

Fishing Creek Nursery is listed as opening at 9am. I was told I could pick up this trailer any time after that. 15 minutes before I arrived to get it, Fishing Creek Nursery called me and left me a voicemail telling me that they wanted to rent it to someone else who had arrived to see if they had a trailer for rent. Let me be very clear when I say this trailer had no jack at all...nothing. It was literally laying on the ground when I arrived to pick it up. Largest trailer I could rent and it was on the ground. They expected me, a woman, to pick this heavy trailer up and mount it by myself. When I asked for assistance I was told that there was no employees there who could help me but maybe I could ask some random people who were not employed by Uhaul or Fishing Creek Nursery for help. Left with no other choice, this is what I had to do. I was lucky there was one gentleman there who was willing to help. In order to connect the lights for the trailer I required an adapter. When I went back inside and asked about buying one I was told "they do not sell ANY equipment to use with Uhaul products and that I would have to drive the trailer to a store to get the equipment I needed" so I could SAFELY use this trailer. How do you have a company that rents Uhaul items but sells none of the products required to use them?? Before I left I HAD to ask the employee about what to do when I return the trailer. Nothing was explained or discussed with me regarding rental or return information. I tried twice to return the trailer both Friday and Saturday evening in between my schedule and moving. Each time I returned to Fishing Creek one driveway was blocked using Uhaul trucks and the other had a closed and locked gate. I was able to return the trailer on Sunday....a day their hours of operation have them listed as being closed. To say that I am unhappy would be an understatement. The trailer itself functioned for the most part but we noticed that there was a short somewhere in the wiring for the lights and that is a safety issue both for me and for anyone on the road. I would imagine that flaw would require the trailer to be serviced. The fact that there was no jack mounted to assist with loading and offloading this trailer or properly functioning lights makes both issues simply unacceptable butunfortunately for me I had to have a trailer that day. I'm not sure how dropping a trailer on the ground and having the ball mount hitting the ground doesn't cause damage to the mount itself but I guess that's a whole other issue. I absolutely will NOT use this company again.
