Location was ok. The truck got 10 miles an started losing power. Spent almost 3 hours trying to get roadside help. Gentleman finally got there and did not see what I felt was wrong. So I tried again to drive. Same result. Drove it back to where I got it.I will be contacting my credit card carrier to contest the charges. This was not an acceptable rental.SHANNON B.

Arrived for the rental and the keys were nowhere in sight. Called customer service and after speaking with 2 reps was basically told there was nothing they could do. I was advised that the 50.00 hold would be removed. The following day I rented from another location and after looking online realized that the reservation for the truck I never got was still active. After 2 phone calls was told that the system takes 4hrs to update. Very disappointing. I am awaiting the hold to be lifted for the rental that I never got. Uhaul needs to have better communication. Each rep I spoke to said the previous rep did not fully notate the account. Horrible. You lost a customer for sureRohan G.

This a very unprofessional location. Extremely dirty and not organized. Pick up time was 8:00, but proprietor only showed up at 8:40. So I lost an hour of my move. This not my first experience like this with Uhaul. Uhaul must immediately review your process of selecting these dealers. Some are pure crap!!!!Luiz F.

The service was fair. When I got there the person who's responsibe to check me in was outside on what seemed to be a personal phone call. He laughed and talked on his cell phone outside for a good 10 minutes before coming in to assist me. He gave no apology when he finally came in. The check in process was fairly painless- but after he took my credit card and input my information, he didn't take the time to give me the details of the amount that would be held on my card- I had to take it upon myself to ask. The rest of the process was fairly smoothe. My return check-in process was also fairly smoothe. I left feeling that this location just needs a little more business etiquette- but in totality the process and service was fair.VIVIAN K.
When I got to the Uhaul location I asked if I could pay cash or if they needed my card. I told them I would go to teh bank if they needed my card. I had already submitted my card number online for the reservation. They told me I could pay cash I would simply leave 100.00 with them as a hold on funds. I agreed and went on my way. 5 minutes down teh road I get an alert from my bank that I had a recent charge and a negative balance. I called the U haul place and they told me they went ahead and put a hold on the funds in my account even though they had the 100.00 cash. However that when i returned the truck they would release the funds. Needless to say it is now 2 days past when I returned the truck and they have yet to release my funds. This could have been simplified for me if they would have told me they were going to charge my card. I would have simply made a deposit and been done. Now I have a negative balance and bank fees. Not t o mention anything that is trying to clear will bounce. Thank you for making an already stressful time even more stressful.Kristin M.
RE: Rental Contract Number 27150674 Dear Customer Service Department I recently used U-Haul services for the first time, and my experience was bad enough that it necessitates formal notification to your corporate office. To the extent possible, I will detail below the course of events: I originally made the reservation online at a location that seemed to be close to my house. A few days before my rental date, I moved the pick-up location to a different location that I had found closer to my house. On my pick-up date, I received a call that the original location had my trailer, but the new location did not have oneâ€¦so I was changed back to the original location. I arrived at the pick-up location and this is when my experience started to really go downhillâ€¦ The only person at this location was a roughly 20 year old male who, to be blunt, was lazy and rude. As an example, the trailer I had reserved turned out to be too small so I asked the attendant if I could look into a larger trailer. His response was â€œI can't help you with that, but I will give you a phone number to callâ€. Seeing my instant frustration, he did a heavy exhale and grabbed the phone on his desk and dialed the numberâ€¦then handed me the phone. Interesting itemâ€¦the lady in line behind me was there complaining that her payment is late because she did not get the bill until mid-month, so he should waive the late fee. He admitted that he had not sent out the bills on time, but her payment was still lateâ€¦I left before the conversation finished. On that phone call, I was re-directed to a new location that had the larger trailer I needed. When I arrived, the attendant was actually very friendly and helpful. However, when we pulled around to actually connect the trailer, the equipment I was renting was apparently being used as shelter by a homeless family. We literally had to â€œscatterâ€ them to connect the trailer to my vehicle. When I got home with the trailer, I noticed one tire seemed a little low; however, the attendant had done a walk-around of the unit so I thought maybe it was supposed to be that way. We loaded the trailer that night. The next morning, we left for Austin. About 12 miles into the trip, the tire that looked a little low blew out and I was then stranded on the side of the road. Truly, not a big dealâ€¦these things happen. However, my experience on the phone with your roadside assistance group was so bad I have told multiple people about it! The lady who eventually answered the call asked me if I had internet access. Note that at this point, I was stranded on the side of the road during a moving event. I told her I could use my phone to access the internet, then I asked â€œwhyâ€. She told me to report my situation to them via the internet instead of reporting it to her. She basically did not want to help meâ€¦I am rarely at a loss of words, but I have to tell youâ€¦right then I could not think of an appropriate response. Stranded onC JASON B.

Truck picked up 8/23, returned 8/24, although contract states it could be returned 8/27. My bank account was charged 114.40 (the correct amount) on 8/26. Then my account was charged 377.01 on 8/28!!! The clerk at the location said it was a mistake and the refund would hit my account in 2 or 3 business days. By that time, I might have several returned items for insufficient funds. 377.01 is not something I take lightly, and even though it was a mistake I will hold U Haul responsible for any and all expenses I incur for this mistake made by the clerk. It is not okay to make mistakes that large to someone's bank account. He did call 'the office' and called me back to tell me that I would receive the amount back the next day, but again, this amount could turn my account upside down. A bit more care and caution in accounting would be helpful. The emailed receipt also erroneously states that the vehicle was returned on 8/27.DANIEL M.

The next morning, the representative called to say my contract said I would return truck my 8 PM on the same pick up date which was not the original reservation. The Agent pressured me into a Round-Trip rental instead of a One-Way, telling me it would be a 2-day Rental fee, of $120 when I was quoted on-line for $37.
