ROSS FBoth the pick up and drop off locations were very good with respect to the site, the equipment and the personnel. I will say I was extremely disappointed when I received a phone call from the regional office, just one day prior to pick up, and was advised that the 5 x 8 trailer I rented (and had received a message of guaranteed confirmation) at one of the two Antigonish locations was no longer available and I had to drive 40 minutes each way to a different location to pick up the equipment I needed. This delayed our whole day by At least 90 minute, not to mention the extra gas I had to use and I was only offered $50 in compensation… This is what I’ll be relaying to people when they ask about my U-Haul experience. Again, an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience.

ROSS FAdd jacks to the trailers. They are heavy to lift. Can be a safety issue for some people. I am in shape and a fairly strong person and thought it was heavy to put on the truck.

THOMAS CThe lady that runs this place was unbelievably rude. When I arrived she told me I would be responsible for attaching the trailer (which has never been the case when I've previously picked up a uHaul trailer) and there was nobody to help me lift the trailer onto my hitch. She told me I could wait 3 hours or find a friend. I drove to the one business across the street and a costumer thankfully helped me. Once the trailer was attached I walked to finish paying and she made me drive into a space where I had to turn around a truck and trailer. She took a picture of the hitch attachment while I was moving. She even threatened to not allow me to take the trailer as I was crying due to how frustrated I was with her service. I told her if she could lift it off then I would leave without it. She processed my payment and I will never go to this uHaul supplier again.

ROSS FI was in a situation to pick up items over 100km away, time was of essence, would have taken 2 car trips one hr each way, pass the UHaul on m y way so location was convenient for this occasion. the one trip saved me 2 hr driving time. Good service.

BOB T1Fraser & MacDonald Auto Sales are not a company you should do any business with. I dropped my trailer of on October 12th at 1000hrs. Their receptionist is a ignorant individual and she should maybe want to look for employment outside customer service. I picked up my trailer in Amherst NS and transported a motorcycle to Pictou. I dropped the trailer off and this lady calls to tell me the trailer is muddy. She was short and rude. I explained the motorcycle but she cut me off to tell me that my deposit would need to be mailed to me. The guy in Amherst said it would be back on my card in three to five days. She said I paid cash. I tried to explain it was a debit Visa but she said the cheque would be mailed. I tried to explain what the man in Amherst said but she cut me off again and said the cheque will be mailed. I have been renting trailers for years from U-Haul and this is the very first time I have had a cheque mailed. Perhaps if she wasn't so lazy she could do her job properly. I would suggest to Fraser & MacDonald Auto Sales to think about hiring someone who will actually do they job and actually has customer skills. I will NEVER give them my business again.

MAGGIE AI am not happy that I was charged an extra day when they are not open on Sundays and I dropped the dolly off just past 24hrs after I picked it up. There was no open for me to pick it up later in the day on Saturday or Sunday morning, so I feel the extra charge is not warranted. I would like to discuss this with someone from U-Haul.
John BWe dropped off the uhaul after business hours. It would be helpful to make note that the droff off box is not near the building but upon entering the parking lot
Jeffrey NI returned the trailer in the same condition I received it. I swept it with a broom. I got charged a $50 cleaning fee. There wasnt even anybody there when I returned it to confirm it was acceptable. I will never use this place again.
