I went to my initial drop off location did not offer drop off services, causing me to be late my next appointment. When I called 1-800 Uhaul to inquire about this issue the manager she assured me that the midtown location was in fact a drop of location, so I waited around so the manager could talk to her. Needless to say, it did not resolve anything and I again wasted my time. The manger at the store was also backed up cause the power went out so it took even longer. When I was there another person tried dropping off a uhaul and got turned away just like me. At the end of the day, she changed my drop off location and I finally got to drop my uhaul off. After wasting an hour of my time and making me late to my next appointment, I also got charge $40 for not filling my gas tank. I was not told about this process when I first reserved my uhaul. I was so annoyed with this whole process I just accepted the charge and left. My 4 other friends with me, and this experience was enough to probably never rent a uhaul again.

When I booked cargo van on phone, I was told it was rate of $89 plus tax only for 100 miles. Again when I checked out at time of picking up van Saturday morning I confirmed this. The clerk changed the rate on the paperwork to reflect $99 plus fees and taxes. This is false advertising and deceptive trade practice. When I returned my trailer and error was made at check in. The wrong trailer number was entered. The following day I received two phone calls one about the trailer not being returned and one about a deposit that was returned to me from the wrong contract being terminated (my dad paid for the trailer while I was out with the guy hooking it up at the time of rental I had no idea he didn't pay a deposit). Upon returning to the drop location I was being charged an additional late fee because my trailer was returned late due to the error of the attendant. Eventually that charge was removed. They could not figure anyway to get me a printed receipt for the deposit money I was returning and through text messages with the GM they still were not able to figure it out. Wasting over an hour of my time with no regard for anything I had going on and no apologies. Dealings like this have caused me to not use businesses like yours and have me considering buying my own box trailer just so I never have to use your establishment again. It's not worth the hassle and drama.

The individual working was rude and unhelpful. I called Uhaul to switch my trailer from a 4x8 to a 5x8 and was told it would cost me $30 for the upgrade. I made a reservation to make the switch on Saturday 6/13. Showed up Monday 6/15 at the correct time and there was no record of my reservation. Furthermore, the attendant had a terrible attitude about the whole thing and acted as if I was bothering her by being there. She said that I had to turn in my old trailer and get a whole new reservation for the larger trailer, which is fine, but completely different from what the Uhaul representative on the phone had told me. Also, she said that it would cost me $60 to turn it in becuase it was 3 days late. I rented the original trailer on the 10th and it wasn't due until the 18th. The lady in Lake Jackson had a really crap attitude and told me it had been due on the 12th, so I owed $60, $20 per day. I called the original Uhaul location I got the first trailer from in San Antonio and that girl was great. She resolved everything for me over the phone and even though I had to turn in the first trailer and close that reservation and get an entirely new trailer, which was NOT what I was told, she still was able to get everything more or less resolved for me and gave me the 5x8 for the 4x8 price. In the end, the representative from the San Antonio office was extremely helpful and professional, and ended up doing the job of the representative in Lake Jackson. So overall I'm still out about $70 plus having to deal with one representative in Lake Jackson's shit attitude, but kudos to the girl at the Uhaul location on 281 in San Antonio for doing her best to make it right.
