Location was fine and everything about the truck was in working order, however the uhaul experience to reserve/pickup--NIGHTMARE. I didnt know that it could not be picked up past 1 hour past the reservation time when I was reserving my truck; what happens if someone returns it late? Would I not be picking it up late? This "as-available" crap is exhausting, too. Each location should be supplied with enough trucks to make sure each customer gets them in advance. Furthermore, the customer service reps we spoke with on the phone were not at all forthcoming or helpful. "Can I give you my info on the phone?" "No." Without any explanation that no-contact pickup needs photos. App did not tell me anything; in fact, standing at the location it would not allow me to check in, and when requesting "standard pickup" it redirected me to Fargo. What?! Anyway, it is a fine pickup location, drop off is well marked and their doors are very obvious about calling in for assistance, under COVID social distancing guidelines. These issues are with corporate.

The person in Detroit Lakes just wanted us to drop the trailer any where due to the fact that they were no longer going to be dealing with U-Haul. My husband is 77 years old and we could not get ANY help disconnecting the trailer from our vehicle. All in all TERRIBLE.

the hole online pickup of the truck was bad

Why is this facility even listed as a drop off location when they are closed and a sign on the door says they are no longer doing U-Haul business? Totally unsatisfactory on the part of U-Haul for not updating their systems.

They were closed due to COVID so we just dropped keys and rental agreeement

Other than no one at the site, it went great(Covid 19 I suppose).

The whole process was a nightmare! I only got 1/4 of the things I needed moved. The truck was shaking so badly I had to return it the same night! My credit card has still not been credited for unused miles. Worst experience ever

The gentleman at the shop was helpful. The 9 phone calls to the 1-800 was absolutely unacceptable. I will never use uhaul again

Pro-rate charges for people who use the rentals. We had our rental back one hour late and they charged us for a whole day. sometimes you just can't get it done as quickly as you like and this was during our in-home shelter in MN and it isn't like people were wanting four our rental. Poor business practice. They was no staff on hand to help as it was Sunday and the virus had business closed.

Website is wonky. Hard time switching to email to login to verify self. Starting to think site was hacked.

Easy drop off it took 10 seconds and I was out the door very very impressed

Make location work when picking up on truckshare.

All the added extras were such a turn off. What's the point of ordering online if they're going to try and add more in person? Also I paid for insurance and when we had issues getting out of the snow they said "sorry roadside assistance doesn't cover this and you have to pay on your own." What was the point of paying for insurance and having roadside assistance? There was so many issues that I won't be a returning customer. I would have rather made multiple trips than use the UHaul again.

Several days of snow on vehicle. Owner did not come out from behind counter to point out truck, assist in loading supplies.

Owner's were very helpful When i had a potential electrical issue.

I did not like that I rented the trailer after noon and the sheet said I had to have the trailer back by 11:00 am the next day. I had to change my plans and it added lots of stress to the day.

lBall mount was to low resulting in the trailer tongue frequently hitting the pavement. Stopped in Coralville, IA. at 932085. Daniel Lake provided EXCELLENT service and fixed our problem. I highly recommend him for his willingness to "go the extra mile" to help a customer. He changed our trip from very frustrating to very pleasant. Kuddos to Daniel Lake.

I wanted to rent a car dolly. They had one but said lights didn't work properly. So I had to rent a two axle trailer to haul a small car For an additional $50. I was very upset that they didn't have aleast one car Dollie that was usable. Will never use U Haul again.

All went well

We dropped the trailer off after hours. The next day we were emailed an invoice with a cleaning charge. We did not haul anything dirty in the trailer and we swept it out 20 min prior to returning. When I called the woman who answered was extremely rude. We will NEVER use or recommend them again.

I picked up the truck full of bugs mon the grill and windshield and got charged a cleaning fee. Was not told that there was an after hours chargemifmimdid not use my phone to checkin when returned. These charges doubled my fee for a simple in town haul job. Will find other alternative for future.

Trying to rent took a very long time because of issues with the computer system. The woman who helped me was wonderful but clearly frustrated with the system.

This is our go-to location in the lakes area! The staff is super friendly and service is great.

The lady was very professional and helpful.

The woman we worked with for check in was fantastic. We will utilize this U-Haul facility anytime we need to rent a trailer. Thank you for the excellent customer service.

It was too out of the way

The only comment I would make was the doorway was 47 7/8" wide. so it was impossible to slide a 4x8 sheet into the back end. It had to be put in up and down and then laid down. Twice as difficult as it should have been.

Don t send them to a drop off location that is closed so it takes more time and costing more money. I will inform others.

They gave me the wrong trailer for my car. I had to climb in and out of the trunk because my doors wouldn't open. Also first uhaul location I've ever used that wouldn't help and make sure the car was loaded correctly.

Personal was attentive and through.

Staff really friendly and helpful hooked up trailer and tested all light all I had to do was back up and go

Dropped off on a Sunday. The drop off location was easy enough to find but it looked like an overflow location for trailer and vehicle storage. There was no clear place to put the unit close to the drop box. I could have parked the truck and trailer along the driveway/road but would have blocked off 4 or 5 other trailers. Not knowing if anyone else was picking something else up that day it was parked in front of the building where the box was and was left. I hope it didn't inconvenience anyone the next morning.

Service was quick and personable, but not overbearing. The business is pretty cool, too. Easily my best UHaul experience ever.

I have had great success with this location. The staff had inspected the trailer before I took off and decided to sweep it out. However, we drove with furniture in this trailer and it was raining and windy and the trailer leaked. On inspection we found there was a tear in the roof that had been repaired with duct tape and it was leaking. We informed the UHaul location of the problem with the trailer when we brought it back.

Easy access location

This U-Haul Center is in the middle of a motorcycle and snowmobile shop but the people were super helpful and friendly and I would recommend them.

Could take good used boxes for other people to use. Such a waste.

The truck was not cleaned out, There was trash under the seats and animal hair was thick in crevices everywhere.
