My vehicle was returned with a minor issue: plastic cover under the steering wheel needed fixing. This was not noted by the Santa Maria location in the vehicle documentation, eventhough it was verbally acknowledged. I worried that the drop off location would charge me for the damage, so I had to call them, report the damage, take pictures and communicate with both U-Haul locations on this. A client shouldn't have to follow up on these situations. Damage in returned vehicles should be clearly documented at drop off locations. Also, take the time to show people basic truck functions from the panel instead of having client request it.
