Just the Customer service team at U-haul need to act a bit fast or circumstances and they need uptraining on the products specifically when there is a accident and we are asking documents of the truck which is not provided in the truck or rather expired insurance documents are kept and the reps don't even have any clue on the new renewal documents to send us quickly. There are tons of damage that are already rusting on the vehicle without the sticker marks. The rubber mat inside the cabin is torn and can easily trip anyone who walks in. The wheel alignment is awful and not safe to drive. There is a force that turns the vehicle right when driving straight so I had to keep the steering about 4 inches turned to the left to keep driving straight. The steering wheel shakes when stopping. Wheel alignment is bad. The guy onsite named Ajaz is horrible. You need to train this guy. Had a problem with the app thru pick up my truck option so I called support, it took sometime but they did help me out check in and retrieve the key. By the time it was already way past my pick up time. Hence I missed my drop off time as a result. Ajaz called me while I was driving back so I explained I had a problem and he said there were 5 check ins that morning and there were no problems. In a tone saying I am lying - and that, to anybody is annoying. 5 online checkins but there are only 3 key boxes on the site - how was that possible? And he wasn't there until 10.30 am - how did he know there was no problem between 6 to 7am? He can easily check this on the system in front of him but no, he would rather offends customers than analyzing the situation. He is not trained for customer service. I'd give zero stars if there is an option because of this dude.Jefferson S.

When I returned the truck, the store was closed. I returned the car on time, locked the car and left the key in the drop box. But problem was I don't have data plan on my phone, so that I couldn't check out at the location. I took a picture of the truck showing time and location to prove I returned as requested. The next day I explained what happened but the guy still changed $25+tax for late return. If I really returned car late, that's fine. But charging the amount to a customer who does not have data plan on the phone without providing any alternative option or explanation is ridiculous. You'd better told that if I don't have data I'll get extra charge!!Hyukjun C.

There was a light around the back doors that was missing. I noticed before we left the lot and took pictures, but it would be nice if that was advised upfront. Additionally, and this isn't the fault of the pick-up location, he advised that online pickup wasn't available at that location. If that's the case, then it shouldn't be an option when someone goes to book. The booking site let me setup pickup for 9:00, so that's how I scheduled my day and those that were helping me with the move. Then, a day before pickup, I get a text saying that pickup couldn't happen until 10:30. That really threw a wrench into my plans for the day. If some sites have differences in pickup times and pickup process, that should be indicated at time of booking.FAUSTO G.

U-Haul customer support over the phone confirmed to me that I would be able to pick up my truck using the phone app at this location. The location owner called me to inform this was not possible. I had to anticipate my pick-up and return time by 2.5 hours. Which one is correct?Flavio F.

I made a reservation online and called to follow up for a same day cargo Van rental and had confirmation that the van would be available. When I arrived I was advised that a cargo van was not available as he had another customer (who was not even there) using it for a 500KM trip, where as my trip was only 3km and probably a half hour. BIG difference and how convenient when you're paying $0.59/km. He said I could have the cube Truck for the same price, which is a joke, as the Cube truck IS the same price. I explained to the gentleman that I was not comfortable driving that vehicle and I would have reserved that vehicle if I needed it and I also didn't understand why I didn't get a phone call to confirm the change? He argued with me and said it was the same thing. It is NOT the same. I am not experienced driving larger vehicles and with the cube truck I can not see through a back window. He offered to send me to another location for the van, (by the way, I was on a time crunch as I had a service elevator booked,) and since I only had to go 3km's from the current location, I asked if he would comp the difference in KM's from both locations. I was told no. He then offered me a van that did not have working signal lights in the back. I said I would take it, but would not cover any costs due to any traffic violations driving the vehicle. After a half hour of waiting and potentially someone over hearing me discuss how I was going to report this, he miraculously had a cargo van for me. In addition I was charged the Safe Trip charge when I did not request it, and purposely did not select it on the online reservation. When asked at the location if I wanted insurance I said yes, and confirmed the amount of $15. At no point did he ask me if I wanted the additional Safe Trip Insurance. I challenged this when I saw my statement and made comments in the online return. The gentleman called me back the next day and argued with me AGAIN that I wanted it. An overall terrible experience and even worse customer service. I generally got the feeling it was all about money and greed. I will NEVER go back to this location. What was supposed to be a quick mattress move, literally across the street, ended up being a massive ordeal.Stephanie M.
