MARY JEAN SZUMINSKIThe pick up location was excellent & did everything they could to compensate for the complete incompetence of the person on the corporate phone system that set up the rental. The location forced me to make 2 trips that were 50 miles out of my way & added about 2 & 1/2 hours to my already crazy night. The agent on the phone did not inform me that I would need to accommodate a 4 flat wiring plug (typically used for small vehicles) While she knew my truck had a factory two package (always 7 round plug on all domestic models) This cost me an additional 30 miles, 45 minutes & 15 dollars to begin my adventure. The person on the corporate phone line would not let me drop off the unit at a dealer just 1 mile from my destination. I was forced to drive 50 miles to return where I picked up. I will never use UHAUL again and I will go out of my way to recommend to my clients (I'm a 32 year career real estate professional in the #1 outbound state in the Union) to never use UHAUL as well!

dominique barberGPS kept sending me to Upper Spring Bay Rd, and 1520 was address of farm house! Could use better language such as including (Route 26) which is the route number to the Spring Bay Rd. Listing of General Store Bayside did not help my GPS. However, staff were very helpful with 3 calls to keep directing us towards their location; and assisted me in unhitching trailer. Overall satisfied with the whole adventure.

PAMELA JOHNSONMy only complaint isn't about this particular location. I made my reservation online to pick up at a Pekin, IL location and the day before the pick up I received a call from the East Peoria location to verify my reservation. I explained to them that my reservation was at Pekin not East Peoria. They explained to me that U-Haul does not guaranty the location for pick up and they try to get the truck to a nearest location possible. That was very inconvenient. I've made my reservation way in advance. U-Haul had plenty of time to get me a truck to the Pekin location. Maybe this is something that the company can change to better serve your customers.
CARLOS PEREZ ORTIZYour "reservation" system is a lie. I thought I reserved a vehicle two weeks prior at a site in Normal Illinois, but then a day before my pickup I was told I had to go 45 minutes away to East Peoria Illinois for my pickup. I was told there was nothing available in Normal because it was college move-out day - which is exactly why I made the reservation in advance - and that the website doesn't guarantee a reservation - which is certainly not made clear on the site. I cannot recommend UHaul to anyone when they can't count on the equipment being available at the stated location.

LISA MICHELTTITrailer was smelly and filthy. Not only was there actual dirt (soil) in the trailer, there was grease along the black railing on one side. This got onto our clothing before we realized it was that dirty. I had to take the trailer to a car wash and use the tire scrubber and power wash to make it usable to move our belongings. This added time and stress to our moving process.

Henry Martin del campoI was told I could drop-off the trailer anytime, 24 hours a day. I didn't plan on leaving it at night, but I called to check on exactly what I needed to do since I'd be later than I thought. I was told I couldn't leave it after hours. I asked about the night drop box and she stated they didn't have one (when I rented it, a young man showed it to me and it was still there when I dropped it off). So, I bypassed the store and drove an hour each way in the morning to drop it off during hours. It cost me a couple hours of time and probably $25 in gas. I don't know if I'd recommend them. Poorly trained personnel giving conflicting information. On a plus side, They were very nice and friendly.

We were also told that we could drop it off at any U-haul store and then was told that if we do we would be charged an extra $115,00 We I went to go get the U-haul I gave the gentlemen all the information he asked for but then I got a call asking for my information again. if I did not need the U-haul to move I would have never gotten it!
IONA BELLWhen I picked up the trailer, the person working there didn't understand how to process the paper work. The same thing happened when I returned it, although it was a different person. The employees either need to be trained, or the business shouldn't rent the equipment.

GERY ASHBYDon't send someone to East Peoria from Pontiac to pick up a truck that was reserved 2 months in advance from Pontiac's location. We had to do this because no one could find us a truck in that 2 months time!!

CAREY RICEMake sure they give ppl the correct info. I was told that the $40 day with .40 per mile would be a refund to me if I didn't use the day and mileage allowance. I was also told and emailed a letter of confirmation to pick it up at a location less than a mile from me but when the girl called for confirmation she said something that didn't make sense so when I inquired I realized she was expecting me to pick it up at a location 25 miles away which was not at all convenient. We agreed on picking it up earlier since we had to drive so far but when we arrived it took an hour because the truck was not yet processed into their system. Then the truck was dirty on the interior.
