This Location NEVER Disappoint's Every Time I need a U-Haul they just go above and beyond to make sure they have the equipment I need when I need it! I had a problem with my trip this time and was worried about what was going to happen when I had to turn around and come back. The owner of this location told me on the phone â€œ DON'T WORRY just come back safely, don't hurry and have more problems, I will take care of it when you get back â€œ So that's what I did and sure enough, it was no problem at all! I didn't have to do anything but call and say I was back! 5 Stars are simply not enough! This Location always provides 10 star service!! Thank You!!BRETT L.

As a repeat U-Haul Customer and a 1st timer at this location I would say Rod has been by far and away the best person I've ever dealt with representing U-Haul. He called to check in, make sure I knew where his location was, gave me some pointers, and even gave me his personal cell. Could not have been more grateful for him. It turns out I needed his cell once U-Haul "traffic" called me... apparently corporate had a mix up and didn't read all the notes, 24 hrs prior to my scheduled pick-up (which Rod at the dealer already had talked to me twice to make sure we were good to go) asked me to pick-up another truck 60 miles away because "from her computer screen it showed the location closed". I was furious! So I said why don't we just call or text Rod right now and sort this out rather than trust the words on your screen. Literally 40 minutes later it was worked out. Not what I would call the smoothest operation out of Des Moines (local U-Haul traffic dispatch) -Why wouldn't you call or text Rod at the dealership directly? He is very responsive to text messages and very helpful? Instead traffic choose to put me "the customer" in the middle to help you work out your problems of communication that would result in me driving 2 hours out of my way to pick-up a truck.MICHAEL V.

When I arrived to pick up the trailer, the agent had a difficult time entering my reservation. I waited and wasted my time on him to figure out how to complete the transaction. He attempted several times to get it done, he even called another source for assistance, with no help whatsoever.Usular B.

It is very necessary for you to update the truck share 24/7 system to reflect the appropriate pick up GPS location on S. Chicago St in Geneseo, which is where the trucks are actually located, versus an old GPS location 2 miles away on Ogden Ave and/or provide very clear instructions/addresses for the customer to start the check out process at the N Ogden address then drive to the actual GPS location/address on S Chicago St where the equipment has been stored since January 2019!!!! Dealer and 4th Customer Service Rep from the Call Center were very helpful and courteous and both deserve 5 stars for their customer service. The first 3 Call Center representatives that either hung up or were disconnected from my calls, however, deserve a very poor 1 star rating for what ended up being a 2 hour truck check out process!!!kitty D.

First off I should never have had to drive 30 miles it of my way to get a U-Haul. When I reserved my U-Haul at the nearest location to me they said that it was no problem. But instead I had to drive to Geneseo Illinois to pick up U-Haul then driving all the way back to my home to pack up. I feel like where I reserved the U-Haul, they should have accommodated me and picked it up themselves. That was a big inconvenience. Secondly with my truck I also rented a car dolly. The straps were not maintained and kept coming loose. I had to pull over every half hour or so to check straps and re-tighten. The equipment was rusty and was not maintained at all. Thirdly I was charged more than I was quoted for the options I had chosen. The Representitive said their was nothing he could do and that I had to take it up with U-Haul directly. Lastly I also had to do my own maintenance check on the vehicle (as far as checking tire pressures, which were low, and checking fluids, which the oil seemed iffy (But not my vehicle so I just drove it....). I would say over all this was a very unprofessional and poor experience. First time I've used U-Haul and not to sure if I could again. There are other providers available, it's just that U-Haul is very well known and well marketed.Timothy S.

Dear Corporate A good improvement would be to have what I reserved 2 weeks ago. Your office told me ON THE DAY I AM PICKING UP that I would have to drive to Washington IA to get my truck. I LIVE AND WORK IN IOWA. from where I was it would have been a 9 hour day to pick up and drive to house I was moving from. Vendor was very good. Very accommodating. He had a 10 ft van and 12' trailer. I ordered a 26ft 2 weeks prior and ended up with this instead. It was not big enough for my furniture so I am out MORE MONEY to get another U-haul plus cancelling my helpers.PAUL M.

This was the 2nd time I've drop equipment there and nobody is around and the phone is out of service so I had to call U-Haul direct to assure that it was checked in. The people at U-Haul costumer service are very courteous and friendly. I would rather call and check in and out my equipment with them.Todd S.
I 'm sure this facility had nothing to do with this but the 26ft truck I rent had engine problems, the "Check Engine" light came on and the engine ran like crap. It stalled on me a few times, didn't think I was going to make it. Fortunately I made it, I called U-Hual and they came and towed it from my driveway.John L.

The gentleman I turned the truck in to didn't check the back of the truck, which is where the appliance dolly was located. While I did inform him that I had 2 contracts (the truck and the dolly), he apparently didn't close out the dolly contract. The issue was resolved by Saturday evening.TANYA S.
WE parked the truck at the location, after unloading, with the intention of returning in the morning to turn in key/paperwork. He called us at 10:30 pm and said we had to do it then, after we had been on the road all day, and unloaded a truck full of household stuff. Also, he failed to acknowledge that Muffler Brothers had hand written an additional 50 miles to our contract, after we discussed concern with them that we weren't allowed enough mileage for the route we took to Geneseo.Michael H.
