Well I was not told to put gas back in the van before bringing it back...I did a 10 mile trip...they charged me 15.00 for gas...now how much did I use to go 10 miles...so pissed

Not entirely quick stops fault. But here is what happened… and I have the paper trail to prove it. 3 weeks prior. I reserved 25 foot truck. I calked the Lewes Morton Electric location 2 times to confirm … the finally called to say they didn’t have a 25 foot truck. U-Haul would call me to schedule a different location. U-Haul called and gave me a much further location in millsboro but downsized me to a 20 foot truck the day before my reservation. Then received another call that Millsboro no longer had 20 foot and my new location would now be Georgetown which is even further. My original location was 3 miles away. Now I’m 15 miles away paying for all that extra mileage. I call Georgetown Quick stop to confirm the day before and they confirmed my 20 foot truck. I said I would be there at 9:30 am. I arrive in time and they tell me my reservation only says TT … and the two 20 foot trucks are promised to other reservations. They called U-Haul and tell me that there is a 20 foot even further away in Frankford OR I can’t one of their 10 foot trucks. I opted for the 10 foot truck as my moving men were waiting for me and were on the clock. Instead of trip with the 25 foot truck. It took us 4 trips with with the 10 foot and three times as long. Instead of 27 miles like my original plan with the 25 foot truck it now was 70 miles with the 10 foot truck and I now needed to pay 3 men $150 and hour to move and the move now took 4 hours instead of 90 minutes and the extra gasoline to fill up the truck due to the extra mileage. This cost me 45 additional miles $53 and $375 EXTRA in labor. My original quote was $101.20 plus $1.19 per mile. Thus extra expense because if Uhauls mistakes was $375 labor, $20 in extra gas and $100 in mileage fir a total of $495. That is a lot of money for me. What is truly disappointing is that NO ONE has offered me even the slightest discount for my inconvenience or added expense.
Suzette CI wish that my receipt that was sent to my email address was bigger or able to be enlarged. I couldn't make it bigger and I could barely read it.

GERALD CI ordered a ten foot truck. They did not have any available. I was given a 15 foot truck. When I arrived, two 10 foot trucks were in the lot. They had arrived in the morning. My reservation was for 1 PM. The local U-Haul place was told I had ordered a 15 foot truck. I did not need or want a 15 foot truck, but was given a free upgrade because none was 'available.. What we have is a failure to communicate and a failure to satisfy the customer. A 15-foot was overkill. In addition, it was difficult for the driver to access because of a previous injury, causing pain. The pain was greater that the driver expected. This was my first time ever renting a truck. I am 79 years old. The experience overall was good expect for getting a much larger truck than I needed to move a few boxes and a shelving unit five miles from a storage unit to my home.

JOHN LVery personable, courteous and helpful staff at this location, but it’s a gas station with some Uhaul signage. The facility doesn’t compare with the one on Snouffer’s School Rd in Gaithersburg, MD that I have used before and found to be more businesslike, more capable, better stocked and fuller staffed. That said, I was very impressed with the quality, cleanliness and condition of the vehicle that I rented. Better than I expected. And I had occasion to contact customer service a few times and those calls were handled professionally, helpfully and efficiently.
JACK LThis location is open at a normal time for people who need to do a full day's move. That is excellent.
JOEL AMy only complaint was having to pick up the truck at Georgetown, DE and pay for all that mileage, when the Lewes, DE dealer had the truck I needed and is located 1 mile from our home.

KELLY DU-Haul made me drive extra milage to this location when there was a drop-off location half as far away from me in Lewes, DE. U-Haul said they needed it for another customer when there was like trucks to what I rented ALREADY in the parking lot. Guess you can say I went "the extra mile" for U-Haul. Hopefully someone really needed it because it made the return harder than it needed to be. Moving is stressful enough.
