Too many extras on the final price and were NOT informed at the time of hiring. $10.00 per day for the use of cover sheets, $10.00 per day to use the dolly.
DAVID BNothing. I was blown away by the kindness patience and every aspect of Gerald and Betsy's interactions with me especially since it was my first experience renting a U-Haul and I was under a great deal of stress and on extremely tight deadline. I highly recommend this business. An added bonus was that although I got prompts after the registration via text to do certain things upon calling but she told me you don't have to do that at all just come in. When we dropped off the key there was a notice on the box that said now go and do this and that on your email we didn't have to do that and within hours the receipt was sent to my email and it was done. Let me tell you as someone who cannot stand anything online the simplicity is and entire operation was one of the best experiences I've had with something that was intimidating to me to even think about. Five stars is not enough! Thank you Gerald and Betsy you are gems!

KEITH PInitial contract (17260854) made on 2/11/26 - when confirming with preferred pick-up location Maxx Auto in Sarasota I requested an earlier pick-up (change from 1 pm to 11 am) which the agent was happy to do. But when trying to confirm time change the agent indicated that the reservation was no longer visible on her screen. Trying to be helpful she re-entered the reservation ( now 18108357) and informed that they did not have the requested Auto Transport and said they would change me to U-haul of Sarasota North on Tamiami Trail. Upon contact U-haul of North Sarasota I was told that they did not have an auto transport but U-haul in Bradenton had several. Also that I would receive a call about where to pick up the next day. When I received a call it was for pick-up at yet another location and irt was for a Toy Hauler which. Showed being returned to Fort Myers, FL not Virginia Beach as shown on the initial contract. I called the Traffic Office and a very helpful person named Kareem finally got his hands around this issue and confirmed a Toy Hauler (not what I wanted but better than nothing) pick-up at Geralds Services the next day was confirmed. When I got the Geralds and was reviewing the contract it had the unit being returned to Fort Myers but the agent was able to correct that.
Gary CI only said no to personnel being helpful, because I returned the truck after hours, so I hadn’t spoken to anyone or gone inside.

CHARLOTTE BQuick and simple check-in. I was concerned as location is a very busy intersection, so I thankfully called before starting. The owner explained that they had more accessible drop-off lots just down the street. That made the drop-off very simple.

WILLIAM SAndrew at this location was super helpful. He was patient and thorough in his explanation of all aspects of my transaction. He carefully answered all of my questions, and was ready to respond to any of my needs. He was personable and made the pick up of the 20 footer I rented quick and easy. It's very easy to highly recommend U-Haul after my experience here.
WAYNE LDon't know who sets the mileage or how, but I was lucky to make it exactly on my allowance. Made no extra stops, used closest gas station, and stil was an inch away from going over mileage offered. People were really nice though and equipment seemed well maintained.

DEANA WFirst thing I noticed when I picked up the truck from the uhaul location was a beer cap stuck in the passenger door handle, not a big deal but showed me they didn’t care enough to clean it in between rentals. After I’d finished my move, I was driving back to drop off the truck when I heard something banging around in the back. When I got to the drop off location I opened it up to realize the rental handtruck had broke free from the flimsy green plastic ziptie. Since it was Sunday, the store front had already closed so I couldn’t speak to anyone about the issue and was charged for the rental handtruck the next day. As soon as I noticed I had called the store to talk to them and explain what happened, I was told that it is “impossible” and had “never happened before” and was called a liar multiple times. I rent from uhaul frequently for my business but this was my first time using this location on Fruitville in Sarasota, and will for sure be my last. The employee who spoke to me on the phone was absolutely disrespectful, rude and had no care for the business the way he spoke to not only me but my wife. The rental was only an additional $7.00, is that worth treating people with disrespect and risking the loss of business? I even tried to explain that I had a picture of the back of the truck empty with the handtruck still intact with the ziptie and the employee refused to listen and continued with calling me a liar and disrespecting us over $7.00. Definitely will look for another truck rental company before ever going back there again.

ALMIR BThe right side brake/blinker/running LED's were out, the left side brake/blinker/running LED's were half out, and the passenger door window had dog nose smears on it making it hard to see out of.
