First thing I noticed when I picked up the truck from the uhaul location was a beer cap stuck in the passenger door handle, not a big deal but showed me they didn’t care enough to clean it in between rentals. After I’d finished my move, I was driving back to drop off the truck when I heard something banging around in the back. When I got to the drop off location I opened it up to realize the rental handtruck had broke free from the flimsy green plastic ziptie. Since it was Sunday, the store front had already closed so I couldn’t speak to anyone about the issue and was charged for the rental handtruck the next day. As soon as I noticed I had called the store to talk to them and explain what happened, I was told that it is “impossible” and had “never happened before” and was called a liar multiple times. I rent from uhaul frequently for my business but this was my first time using this location on Fruitville in Sarasota, and will for sure be my last. The employee who spoke to me on the phone was absolutely disrespectful, rude and had no care for the business the way he spoke to not only me but my wife. The rental was only an additional $7.00, is that worth treating people with disrespect and risking the loss of business? I even tried to explain that I had a picture of the back of the truck empty with the handtruck still intact with the ziptie and the employee refused to listen and continued with calling me a liar and disrespecting us over $7.00. Definitely will look for another truck rental company before ever going back there again.

ROBERT SThe pick up went seamlessly. My only suggestion for improvement would be to work on your website. The reservation process on line was efficient and comprehensive, however I could only reserved the truck for one day. I had to call the help line to add a day. Later when I attempted to change the pick up time, the reservation reverted back to one day. So I had to call the help line to fix it, again. So, fix your website.

Uzi BBefore I left the U-Haul location, I noticed the gas wasn’t actually at half. I mentioned it to the lady afterward, and she told me I wouldn’t be charged. But I was still billed for a full refuel. I also bought some tape, and my card was run twice, so I got charged twice. On top of that, when I first walked in, both owners were arguing in front of customers.
ANNAS MI was given the wrong key code so I could not access my u haul for approximately 2 hours. I then needed to extend my rental by 2 hours. I would like a refund for those 2 hours

CLAY MThe employees at this location communicated with me to let me know when a problem arose with my reservation, and again when it was resolved. They also worked to find a resolution in the interim that met my needs. What I did care for as much was the difficulty I had with opening the latch and closing it on the truck itself. I've never run into an issue before and the business owner indicated he didn't have any trouble but of the three people that try to open it we found it very difficult. It was also nearly impossible to get the lock off the back end so that just made things challenging on a day when it was pouring rain. As far as the equipment itself I have to see that the truck was in very good condition. It drove far better than I expected for which I was thankful. If there is something to complain about here it would be that as a person who is disabled and bigger than average it was almost impossible for me to get up the step and into the truck. It might be helpful to have a pull out fold down extra step there. I can't possibly be the only person that has problems with this. It was actually very dangerous for me and I was very glad that at one point there was someone there available in case I fell.
Shirl SGet better trucks and explain prices better I was told the rental was going to be 49.99 for the day then when I got there I was told it’s 49.99 plus mileage total came out to be eighty something dollars the truck was shaking so bad I think it needed a tune up it made noise before even starting it up
