The man at the storage facility was really nice and helpful. It's a difficult lot to get into, as there is a security guard that has to raise a traffic arm for you to get through. But overall a good experience returning this UHaul.

The inside and outside of the truck was filthy. The windshield had tons of dirt. The yellow "need service light" was on inside the vehicle and transmission would rev-up when applying the break. I felt like the vehicle was not safe. I will be contacting the State of CA. I'm sure there are laws requiring rental vehicles to be in good working condition when renting to the public. The establishment had few roaches climbing the walls and bird poop on the walls (I have the pictures to prove it). I've rented from other U-Hauls and never experienced this before. The only man working there was in different to providing good customer service and I believe it's because his business is in the heart of a poor community (African Americans and Hispanics) and he feels has though we are not worthy of good customer service. Heck, I think maybe he thought we'll would never notice that the vehicle have not been serviced. Same on him but I will not keep this to myself. I will be posting a review on yelp with pictures! Look out!

The I haul truck was very dirty. I brought it to the attention of the agent when I was checking out vehicle because I noticed a spill, crumbs, and just a dirty inside can and outside. He acted very nonchalant so I made sure I documented it on the paper I signed prior to leaving the site. Upon returning the vehicle the same agent claims the vehicle was more dirty than when I received it but that's inaccurate. No eating and we only had water and made sure to leave it better than we found it. I made sure to document everything because when I read the reviews I saw that this location is problematic and I found it to be an issue as well.

Based on an inaccurate description of the 10' truck, i rented one because I needed a ramp. When I got the truck home, I realized there was no ramp. I IMMEDIATELY returned the truck. The imbecile at the Gibraltar Self Storage (Next to the Slauson Swapmeet) said he had to still charge me; despite the fact that he verified the Mileage, Gas level and cleanliness of the vehicle. As a result, I had to file a claim with Customer Service. I will never again rent a truck from U-Haul. The staff are incompetent, putting it politely.

I don't see what is the point of allowing me to choose a pickup location if you are then going to select one for me. As if driving over half an hour to pick up the truck wasn't bad enough, we were sent to a super sketchy neighborhood. The pick-up location was also a bit confusing, We had to ask security for assistance.

The gentleman was not sociable at all and was trying to charge me to clean literally 3 small pieces of paper that I didn't realize I had dropped. Meanwhile the vehicle already was filthy and I have pictures to prove it before I rented it

I returned my vehicle at the appropriate time just didn't know I had to take a photo of the key proof of returning .. so I called a rep and they said they were going to note it in the system .. but some how they can't find the notes but I talked to a rep that didn't work for the actual company and he Over rode them.. so great ful for the 3rd associate I spoke to

Truck didn't come with a dolly . When I returned and told the man, he said you have to request a dolly , they do not keep them in the truck .This rental experience was the worst I've had. I will not use this location EVER again.

I confirmed my order on line and went to the uhaul. Worker on this day looked shocked to have a customer. Even asked if I was sure I rented from that location. He never got out to check the van before I took it. He asked me to do it. I returned to explain there was white spray paint on the passenger side and that the gas was on empty. He waved me away saying ok. He originally marked the paper at 1/4, but then scratched it out and put it marked it at 1/8 because the lady who rented and turned the van before explained that to him. I took off in a rush thinking he would fix it once I returned as he did when he adjusted it the first time. When I returned he had no recollection and charged me for gas. So what would of been a $30 translation turned to $55 for only 13 miles ofuse.

Truck cab was not cleaned out. The reserved supplies that had been requested and paid for were not on hand. I was sent to another location. The rep was not on site and i waited 15 minutes. Horrible experience.

Location needs to stock basic moving supplies. No furniture pads or dolly available even though request/order was placed when the reservation was made.

The customer service is super poor they lie to you just to get you to rent the trucks then can't in touch with Area field manager by phone that place & the customer service stinks overall experience was a real nightmare I would never ever go back or would I ruined anyone's like by recommending this place.. they need to retrain the crew & the management .. this is just sad that they let just anybody run a full Business that don't have any knowledge on how to run a business handled people are talk to people it is very inappropriate to lie just to get people to rent a truck ... NEVER GOING BACK

It would be nice to have been shown the truck and go over details of truck prior to driving off lot as well as have equipment that I requested already in the truck. Although I should of double checked to make sure a dolly was inside the van, I trusted that everything I needed was there but I didn't know until I arrived home and opened up the back of the van expecting to see a dolly but unfortunately to my disappointment there wasn't, which made my move a bit challenging to say the least. Not to mention that the windshield was very dirty and it made it worse when I used the windshield wipers and wiper fluid to clean the windshield which smeared all the dirt creating an outline ???? But overall I am thankful for having the van to assist in my move. Thank you!

I was sent to this location even though my confirmation email indicated a location on Western. Once I arrived at the Slauson location, I was not expected and was told my 9am resevation was set for 12pm. After a brief discussion with the clerk I we cleared up my reservation check out time. It took nearly an hour to enter my information to confirm my reservation. It was very disorganized and prolonged my move start time by an hour.

The person behind the desk made me type in all of my information including my credit card information while he waited behind a desk. how is that customer service? does he not want my money? In addition to this, their location doesnt have a 24 hour drop off. They called me asking if i was going to return the van soon and I told them my problem of not being able to make it during work out because of my own job. they told me it isnt a problem and that i can turn it into another location that has a 24 hour drop off. He even texted me the address. When I was on my way to drop it off I called your customert service number just to confirm the drop off location and the woman helping apparently doesnt know the meaning of customert service. She tells me that i will be charged for dropping off the van to the other location since the original location never put a note on file about it. But she also mentioned to me that she is looking at my signed agreement and that I had requested the van for an additional day. I never signed anything to extend my agreement. I asked to speak with a manager and the lady had me on hold for 25 minutes before i gave up. She changed the hold language to spanish so that I wont know about being able to leave my review. After I hung up I spoke with another rep afterwards and they told me that it didn't matter how long you agreed to keep the rental for that it they will only charge you for the days you had the rental. So rather have the first girl explain that to me she left that part out to incite more anger from me. That is the worst customer service ever. In addition to all of this you guys went ahead and charged me the extra day even though i dropped the van off the night before.

Hire someone who knows what they are doing. Basically I had to tell him what to do, and I don't even work at uhaul.

The store was closed on date/time item was returned, so we had to keep the item for a day due to the holiday. I've been charged for two days instead of one. I have called numerous times with request for call back, and still have not received a call back or refund. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

I was charge a higher rate than promised. I asked for total including fees and taxes and when I picked up truck I was charged 30 dollars more than the total I was quoted by uhaul agent. Drop off location employees were excellent and very polite and professional Bobby helped and I was very pleased

I was told of a new pickup location two days ahead of time. The new place was 25 minutes away from my house instead of 5 in a rather questionable neighborhood. The truck smelled and the staff did not seem to be well informed. It was worse than a different experience at a formal uhaul rental location.

Customer service was poor. The knowledge of the system is low. I did not appreciate being called a poor listener or in her words (you don't listen to me) and being lied to. I ordered an appliance dolly and when I was about to walk out I notice the appliance dolly was not available. She then told me she did not charge me for one and she would proceed and charge me for it. At the end of about 20-30 minutes she did not know how to build an order and then told me that they did not have one for me. I told her it did not make sense because my email confirmation told me a dolly had been placed. She then told me that the U-Haul company will place an order but it does not mean it will be available to pick up. I then told her why not tell me this at the beginning. Why did she call her boss to build and order and why tell me she was not able to make an order for a dolly in her system because she was not able to find it. It was then when I was told that I do not listen in rude tone of voice. In addition to this, she only gave me the keys but did not walk me to the vehicle nor explain the use of the vehicle. (How to open the back doors etc). I had to search for it on my own. The gas tank was under in gallons from was stated on the paperwork. In my opinion, I would not recommend this location to anyone.

I that the representative did nto explain herself probably and I was charge for GAS tha was not in the truck. The representation did not get off her butt to check the truck with me. Your company over charge me for the GAS and that is not the way to do business. I am not a new customer, I am a return customer so many time.

1) have a 24 hour key drop box 2) Have 2 employees so lunch time is covered and business isn't closed for an hour when customer is returning truck. 3) Educate the employee about how to use software or fix software - it would not take my american express card which is how I intended to reserve/pay. 4) The employee was confused as to which business she was serving when I came in and said I have come to rent a truck and have a reservation. After 15m-20m we discover I am not actually here to pay rent on a storage space…I got there at 10am and left by 1045am---this is the longest it's ever taken me to rent. Also, I was renting for approx 4 hours. I return within that time and there is no one in office for next hour for lunch. I have to return my help to their home and have to figure out a new game plan. I left keys with security guard and called Uhall around 330ish to make sure truck info was recorded and payment was made. The employee was very nice, the truck was in pretty good condition, but service was…sorry to say, not so great. I will not rent from there again.
