Business opened late. Was supposed to pick up the truck at 9 :30 am and I didn't end up leaving with a truck until almost 10:30. There was a line of people waiting for them to open. By the time I got to the front of the line, I was told that even though I rented a truck for a one way move, I would have to return the truck to the same location! I immediately called the 800 number and eventually it got sorted out. But this was incredibly frustrating as I had people at my house ready to help us move.

I hate when a truck is not filled with fuel at pickup. The truck also was the worst driving rig I have rented. Transmission was stuck in gears and shifted with big bangs and clunks. has exhaust leaks and mirrors were in a fixed spot. location is muddy, no restroom, staff is less than stoked to see you

Uhaul had a damaged cap on the corner of the vehicle that wasn't to our knowledge until after we loaded the vehicle. The person who gave us our vehicle didn't it even bother to inspect the vehicle or let us know of any known damages it had. When we finally arrived at our destination. We were almost charged for the damages due to the previous driver. Luckily for us, the kind gentleman at the destination drop off helped us figure out what happened. We would not recommend the gig harbor location location to anyone...

The truck was filthy. Outside windows and mirrors were so disgustingly dirty it impaired my vision so bad I had to pull into gas station to clean with scrubber. The truck was so old and busted and guzzled gas so bad I put 400+ dollars into this heap. This was an awful experience. I rented from Penske in the past and will never use U-Haul again. Also the Washington location was awful but that’s par for the course for that place.

Office opened 45 minutes later than scheduled and noted fuel in truck was at 1/2 tank when actual was less than 1/4 tank. This would’ve costed me about $150 not U-Haul. District office made it right and corrected mistakes. I would rent from u haul again but recommend stay on top of the details.

The pickup process was terribly inefficient. The employee checking out equipment asked me all the same questions that I already answered while reserving the equipment on the uhaul app. While I could not see the monitor, the computer seemed exceptionally slow. I had arrived approximately 15 minutes prior to my appointment time and was there for nearly an hour to complete the process. There were several customers in front of me backed up well after their pickup times due to the slow process. I understand that sometimes things happen but there are other reviews related to this I noticed after the fact. This would probably explain the signs in the office about how customers need to be respectful, have patience, and a reminder that they reserve the right to refuse service. Well, I refuse to to go back there so I’m not too concerned about that. How about trying to improve your business rather than expect your customers to put up with subpar service and just shut up about it??? As far as the truck goes, it was far from well maintained. When I picked it up there was a headlight out, and the exhaust rattled like it was falling off. On the way back to turn it in, the check engine light came on. I was going to let an employee know during the checkin process but they were closed during their advertised open business hours.

Truck was parked closely to other trucks and a bit hairy pulling out of the spot. Also no paperwork handed and no instruction to add gas when I was done. I was unaware of that. I was billed for 6 gallons which seems unreasonable since I drive 21 miles.

They got EVERYTHING wrong. The 20-foot, one-way rental that I had reserved was not available. My pick-up was at 9:00 am. My truck was scheduled to be returned at 9:00 am (Cutting it a bit close?). It wasn't there. Eventually, after connecting with someone in a customer service role, I was given a 26-foot truck instead. The truck had an unrepaired, very large, spiderweb like windshield crack. I'd estimate that the crack was about 12" in diameter. Very dangerous. I had ordered 3 dozen blankets and a dolly. The dolly was available, but the place only had 6 blankets (Actually there were only 5). There was no vehicle inspection, and nobody did the courtesy of pulling the vehicle out for me, even though it was 26-feet long and parked close to other vehicles. Indifferent is a nice way of describing the service I received. A very sketchy operation. Never again.

Cargo area was covered in Sheetrock dust and chunks of broken Sheetrock. Even after sweeping it out, we tracked dust everywhere. I should charge you a cleaning fee!

Had to wait a long time for employee walk around and look at stuff he was in and out of the office multiple times before I was helped (I was the only one there). I rented a trailer and none of the lights worked and it was filthy. No other equipment was aviable and no compensation was offered or given. It was pay this price for not working and dirty trailer or don't rent from us. Was not happy with this experience will not be renting from there again

On the good side the equipment was fairly clean, and in good condition. However, this location had just 1 employee doing everything; processing returns, filling propane tanks, etc. And, the internet there is lousy. I could have used the self check-in process if there was only internet signal. At the very least this location needs to provide wifi service for customers to expedite service. I would likely still recommend this location, but would warn folks not to expect great service.

-Rude pickup agent -Had to load my own materials after agent through them on the ground -Filthy uhaul, covered in mud, and sticky wet stuff, couldn't even see the the odometer or through the window due to the filth -Found marijuana and heroin and needles inside of the truck -Had to clean the uhaul myself -Abs braking system went out -Driver assistance trac went out -Racial slurs -Not safe, not clean -The absolute worst uhaul experience ever!

The office as my son described it was let's say a little bit lazy and slightly cluttered. But then again you're renting a moving van. It's not a doctor's office. Staff was nice and helpful. I'd have no trouble recommending it or going there again.

First off every location I’ve been to is a nice one and this place felt sketchy to me. I rented a truck that was supposed to have unlimited mileage and I was charged for mileage which I’m very upset about. The truck barely had any gas in it and when I dropped it off it had half a tank when all I had to start was like 1/4 of a tank or just below that. I will not be renting trucks from I-haul anymore of this is how you conduct business.

The truck sounded like it was going to throw a rod from the moment it was turned on. It was not well maintained and not good quality for only having slightly more than 100K on the odometer. The rental process was convenient, but the equipment was awful and left me nervous about driving it the entire time.

I have rented from this location for a couple of years now. This last experience was the worst. The vehicle we rented was in very poor condition. The interior had dried mud and debris on the floors. More importantly, the vehicle had a check engine light on which did end up going out after a few miles. The menu buttons would get stuck, so it took several minutes to try to get the odometer to display. While trying to get the buttons to work, there was a display that came up that the oil was at 0%. This vehicle is in need to be serviced.

The box truck had a check engine light on and didn't have a lock. The employee didn't know how the trailer hitches work. The entire location is in poor condition. I wouldn't ever use this location again. There were no signs of coffee.

Engine light on from the start. Told to call uhaul if any issues. Fuel nearly on E. Horrendous gas mileage! Difficult to understand employee…very strong accent. But I was able to get the move done so there’s that.

The service was wonderful, thank you. The one improvement I suggest is for employees to check your lot for returned vehicles before calling the customer… This happened to me. We returned the truck in the evening of the same day we rented it, following all instructions. However, I received a call the following day asking when we planned to bring the truck back. Again, we returned it rather previous night.

If you’re getting a trailer be prepared to maneuver some to get hooked up and out of the yard. The trailers are parked inches apart and it’s not easy to get straight approach to hook up, so it’s sketchy pulling out of the spot. Also remember if you have 7-pin hook up you’ll need adapter for U-Haul trailer wiring.

I wish to review U-Haul itself, and its practices. The location was generally fine, the way U-Haul allowed he to book and reserve (pay for) my rental and then the DAY BEFORE called to say the location within walking distance wasn’t an option, I would need to Uber 25 minutes away is the reason I will never rent from U-haul again. The fact that the call the day before my paid-for rental failed to mention that the TIME of my rental changed along with the wild distance, is unprofessional and unacceptable. I will be eagerly sharing this story when I can, to highlight how unreliable U-haul is. My moving help, booked through U-haul had to be adjusted and I ended up loosing time I paid for because of the change in time that my rental was available. It is shameful that my moving help comforted me by saying that this is always how it is when renting with U-haul on the weekends. Are you joking? People who work typically move ON WEEKENDS. How is your main objective NOT making your weekend practices stellar? Why would you make the weekend a more terrible experience? I expect to be contacted and compensated for my Uber ride, the lost time, and the chaos. I’d love to tell a story of U-haul making it right.

I booked a week in advance and request a 26ft truck, days before my pick up date they told me they did not have that size truck available, forcing us to reserve a 20ft truck. We reserved a dolly, upon pick up there was no dolly. Upon pick up gas was less than 1/4 full. Forcing us to get gasoline right away. Overall poor experience. I will use a different service next time.

I picked up the Uhaul and the gas tank said the tank was 12 miles to empty- I ended up putting 30$ in the tank- he said to leave it below empty- but that’s not good for the vehicle. It would be great to get a partial refund for the additional gas I put in the tank. My total mileage was 8.8 miles. Just seems like the $30 in gas and the $66 rental fee was a bit much. I had the truck for approximately 3 hours.

I think UHaul should require full tanks of gas. My rental came with 1/4 tank. I have no idea the MPG of the truck. I ended up donating 1/4 tank to Uhaul. All rental car companies that I have dealt with send you away with a full tank and you are expected to return it that way. Much fairer.

The personnel did not offer to help unhook or move the dolly when I arrived. I had to move the dolly myself approx 30', which nearly threw my back out! I suggest better customer service for this location.

We reserved and paid for a 19' truck and a dolly. When I showed up they only had a 15' truck and did not have a dolly. They were not even apologetic; they just told me to drive to another U-haul store to see if they had a dolly. Poor customer service.
