When a reservation is made online, make sure the vehicle is available at that location. Pick up process should be easy & seamless. Do not allow a reservation to be made if that specific vehicle is not available. Customer service reps should be trained for ease of pick up/drop off at all locations. Pick up should not take two hours and multiple phone calls to customer service. Do not charge credit card until vehicle is picked up.Carina H.

the associate was to busy with the people that were pumping gas and so my service kept being put asside cause her priority was gas first, i would recomend to friends if its like a last resort but i would have to explain that it took nearly 1hour and a 1/2 to get my service done.sandra B.

The person renting the equipment needs better customer service training. As well as the person needs to learn how to apply a U-haul gift certificate. I was rather unhappy with the quality of service at this spot.Tamie M.
Equipment was clean inside and I was UNABLE to pull the seat forward because it's needs to be lubed but what irritated me was it had an eighth tank gas I mean good night it's parked at a gas station you could've at least had a half a tank a gas. I did return the truck with a quarter tank of gas. Is the gas station is open late I really would've liked to have been able to return the truck that evening but closing at 7 PM didn't work .kathryn M.

Had a lot of issues from beginning to end. I have used U-Haul multiple times but this time by far was the worst. First showed up to pick up my reserved U-Haul and gentleman and front counter tells me that their system is down and no trucks can be used today. Then the owner came over and I let her know I had a reservation. She told me it would be 2 minutes until the person comes in. This was no problem. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have gotten a vehicle. U-Haul always goes over paperwork with me going over gas etc. not this time. When using U-Haul ramp and back deck were full of leaves and debris. Rep at counter said i could bring back anytime before 1. I came back at 12:30. Same gentleman at front counter tells me it is not 1 yet so come back later. I take my wife and my new born baby to lunch to kill some time. I come back to give key back. Lady let's me know I went a total of 11 miles and asks if I gassed up. I let her know that I was not told to do so and if so how much. She tells me half tank so I put $10 in the tank and went back in. I had to wait a while because the gentleman at front is being trained. This experience was awful. Not what I have recurved in the past. I am a store manager and I know there is no way I would have my employees treat my customers this way. The guy at the front was really rude. The lady that helped was nice just not very informative and seemed overloaded.David R.

staff at the location were unfamiliar with the check out process as the primary business was a gas station. Had to complete check in by calling customer service rep (who was awesome!). Girl at counter didn't speak English. Gave us a number to call. No papers to sign. Talked to manager and confirmed price. Gave phone back to her and she gave us the key. The truck was VERY dirty, inside and out. Food on floor and cup holder. Melted chocolate on floor. Outside was filthy, too. Windows and mirrors dirty.Tena V.
I came to drop off and it was a gas station and I needed to drop the trailer off in order to remove the items from the truck. There was nobody to help me and I had to unhitch and move a 6x12 trailer by myself pushing it and turning it by hand. It was not good. There really was no checkin other than me getting the mileage and gas and writing it down for the cashier.Brian M.
I ordered this to pickup in the santa Cruz area. Had to drive to Gilroy to pick it up. Took over an hour to get back to Felton because of traffic. Bad, bad. Should have been brought to the Santa Cruz area.Rick G.

It took me over 45 minutes to check in - even though I had done an express check-in. The lady there was very helpful - it was not her fault, but her system wasn't working.Gautam G.
This part you probably don't want to hear. However this was the first time I've ever used U-Haul. So my experience is subjected to that. I have nothing else to compare it to. But do know that I was satisfied with the results. My only pet peeve was I wish that I had unlimited mileage. But I'll get over that. Thank youjody C.
Original Pick up was supposed to be Chowchilla, Uhaul did not contact me and let me know the pick up location had changed to Madera, so I spent half a day trying to get a uhaul to me the Gilroy location was not helpful they were confused and then the lights were to chort to connect to any vehical I had to go buy an adapterlarry L.
There is no "Gilroy Gas" It's "Mobile Gas". Only 1 person running the place. Complain her computer was down. Constantly being interrupted by other customers buying snacks. Didn't receive a copy of any paperwork. She had to keep mine since the computer was down. A little hard on the English.robert V.

On site Management and Staff were very disorganized. The Clerk helping with the reservation did not know how to use the computer system. Did not know how to navigate through the reservation process. We had to call 1-800-Uhaul to clarify the reservation which was done through 1-800 Uhaul. We had to Spend a lot time and delayed our trip. which cost us money down the road. Ownership has filthy facilities, with gift shop and store is very dirty. Surrounded with homeless and drug attics coming in and out. Store clerk, mentioned to us that she has been followed to the bathroom and nesds to leave her purse at home. Not a great facility to feel safe and customer service is horrible. Training is lacking and staff is scared and cannot communicate english well at all.Not a great facility to house UHAUL services. Ownership need to remodel and overhaul the the entire complex and create a safer environment for clients and his own staff. Very poorly ran and managed. Ownership should shut down for a season and spend some very needed capital to remodel the entire facility with old pumps. All in all a very poor feel for a Uhaul designated facility. Uhaul should greatly consider them as a vendor.Gloria M.

Have every employee trained about the uhaul pickup. My husband went to get the truck b/4 picking me up at the airport, but they wouldn't give him the equip. Because I wasn't there yet. On Friday nite I got a confirmation to p/u. And I told her that dennis would be picking it up. She did not pass that along to the attendant, so the attendant wouldn't release the vehicle. I was waiting at the airport which was timed to coincide w/ the truck pickup. So I was over an hour waiting. We go back to 6991 Monterey, and they have a downed computer, so she can't pull up my reservation. She called your represenitive and I told her the problem & she rectified it very quickly. We get in the truck, get home to load, and found out the girl did inot takepadlock off, so we had to go back and she removed the padlock. I had men waiting to load and we ended up being 3 hrs behind schedule. It was very disheartening and stressful. We got to our destination at 2:30 in the morning.Patricia M.

Didn't speak English, I had to wait while she rang up patrons at the mini mart, nobody was there to show me how to operate the equipment or to help me load up the car dolly or help put the car on the dolly, didn't provide the trailer harness, I had to ask for it myself. Completely useless service, had I not been able to figure it out myself it would have been impossible for me to get anywhere.Ian O.

We rented a UHAUL from UHAUL.com on a Wednesday Feb 15th to be picked up on Saturday morning at 8amÂ Feb 18 2017 at the Monterey Rd Gilroy Ca Location and when we got there the sweet woman, MonicaÂ behind the counter was stuck telling us that we could NOT take the truck because it was already rented out for a 4pm rental. She told us that the computer must have double booked the truck but we were there at 8am ready to move our stuff cross the valley. Not only was MONICA put in a situation she should NOT have been but we were now screwed. We spoke with her manger Terry who ultimately did the right thing and let us take the truck and had another truck sent over for the 4pm rental but ALL OF THIS COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED AND MONICA should not be left there to answer for the SNAFU in the computer system you have NOT WORKING for you. This needs to be taken care of and corrected, this added stress to an already stressful move (which all moves usually are) and to leave Monica or someone behind the Gas station counter to "clean up" the confusion is just not right! This was NOT Monicas fault and she should not have to be the smothover for UHAULS goofups! Please apologize to Monica and pleased take care of this situation because all of this stress was UNNECESSARY! This by far is the most creepy and unprofessional uhaul I've ever used. I've used the Uhaul service in Gilroy many times on Murray and unfortunately they didn't have a 15ft truck so they recommended me across town. I'm baffled by their ability to communicate contracts and or deliver on their word. They had said 8pm drop off was perfect in Spanish which is fine I can speak Spanish but maybe she didn't understand what she said because when I got there at 717 the lady that was there today said read your contract it's 24 hrs from pickup doesn't matter what she said yesterday. That might be true but if she doesn't understand the language she shouldn't be explaining things in english. I'm just very unsatisfied and when. I called 1800 number for their rudeness they were awesome but again lady that was there today didn't do anything the people on 1800 said and was rude and told me to read contract. If they weren't so distracted selling gas out of a dirty station surrounded by homeless people and cops telling them to leave they might care about running a proper business. I originally booked the truck reservation for a pick up in Marina CA where I needed it, 42 miles south of Gilroy. I picked it up in Gilroy because I was told the day before by phone that it would not be available in Marina. I was offered a $50 discount and 80 miles (84 miles to Gilroy and back). Then again later I was told that Gilroy did not have the truck I wanted. So I was given a larger truck (gas guzzler) that I did not want. By the time I got to Salinas CA, 57 miles later, I topped of the gas tanks with another 8 gallons of gas ($20). Obviously, the gas tank was not completely full when I picked it up in Gilroy. I found the whole experience with U-Haul very disappointing. I will avoid U-Haul in the future and let others know as well.Mark E.

The original location I chose apparently didn't have the truck and I wasn't notified of a location transfer until I phoned in to double check everything. You guys added an additional 12 miles to my rental which cost me time and money. Aside from that the location was poorly managed as I had to wait as I was constantly interrupted by other guests trying to pay for gas. On top of that I was charged $10 for a $7 dolly. I am considering never using your service again. I typically rent a vehicle for productions and trade shows. This experience really put a bad taste in my mouth.billy B.
