Bugs on windshield were so thick I had to run wipers when I picked up the truck.
When a reservation is made online, make sure the vehicle is available at that location. Pick up process should be easy & seamless. Do not allow a reservation to be made if that specific vehicle is not available. Customer service reps should be trained for ease of pick up/drop off at all locations. Pick up should not take two hours and multiple phone calls to customer service. Do not charge credit card until vehicle is picked up.
I suggest your system show an image of what is being rented. So the store personnel will not be confused.
Quick and easy experience
With so many choices in Gilroy, this location didn't have the blankets I requested, the size truck I wanted and the attendant didn't speak English. I'd use U-haul again, but not from this location.
the associate was to busy with the people that were pumping gas and so my service kept being put asside cause her priority was gas first, i would recomend to friends if its like a last resort but i would have to explain that it took nearly 1hour and a 1/2 to get my service done.
The side view mirror was not tightened and continuously went out of alignment. The pickup location took 45 minutes to check us out. Much too long!
The truck's roll up door was in the up position and open when I arrived! Poor customer service.
There was only one woman working at this gas station / UHaul location and she could barely speak english. I filled the truck with gas and she never checked it. I read the drop off mileage and she never checked it. She was so busy with the gas station customers, she had no time to check my truck in.
I could not understand the lady who was in charge. She spoke no English.
The person renting the equipment needs better customer service training. As well as the person needs to learn how to apply a U-haul gift certificate. I was rather unhappy with the quality of service at this spot.
Equipment was clean inside and I was UNABLE to pull the seat forward because it's needs to be lubed but what irritated me was it had an eighth tank gas I mean good night it's parked at a gas station you could've at least had a half a tank a gas. I did return the truck with a quarter tank of gas. Is the gas station is open late I really would've liked to have been able to return the truck that evening but closing at 7 PM didn't work .
It took over 30 minutes to return truck. They only had one person working, she was friendly and doing her best but was also having to handle the customers for the gas station and the internet was not working properly for her to return my truck in the system.

Had a lot of issues from beginning to end. I have used U-Haul multiple times but this time by far was the worst. First showed up to pick up my reserved U-Haul and gentleman and front counter tells me that their system is down and no trucks can be used today. Then the owner came over and I let her know I had a reservation. She told me it would be 2 minutes until the person comes in. This was no problem. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't have gotten a vehicle. U-Haul always goes over paperwork with me going over gas etc. not this time. When using U-Haul ramp and back deck were full of leaves and debris. Rep at counter said i could bring back anytime before 1. I came back at 12:30. Same gentleman at front counter tells me it is not 1 yet so come back later. I take my wife and my new born baby to lunch to kill some time. I come back to give key back. Lady let's me know I went a total of 11 miles and asks if I gassed up. I let her know that I was not told to do so and if so how much. She tells me half tank so I put $10 in the tank and went back in. I had to wait a while because the gentleman at front is being trained. This experience was awful. Not what I have recurved in the past. I am a store manager and I know there is no way I would have my employees treat my customers this way. The guy at the front was really rude. The lady that helped was nice just not very informative and seemed overloaded.

staff at the location were unfamiliar with the check out process as the primary business was a gas station. Had to complete check in by calling customer service rep (who was awesome!). Overall it was a fine experience but would have been better if the staff on site were better trained in the Uhaul check out process.
Girl at counter didn't speak English. Gave us a number to call. No papers to sign. Talked to manager and confirmed price. Gave phone back to her and she gave us the key. The truck was VERY dirty, inside and out. Food on floor and cup holder. Melted chocolate on floor. Outside was filthy, too. Windows and mirrors dirty.
I came to drop off and it was a gas station and I needed to drop the trailer off in order to remove the items from the truck. There was nobody to help me and I had to unhitch and move a 6x12 trailer by myself pushing it and turning it by hand. It was not good. There really was no checkin other than me getting the mileage and gas and writing it down for the cashier.
I ordered this to pickup in the santa Cruz area. Had to drive to Gilroy to pick it up. Took over an hour to get back to Felton because of traffic. Bad, bad. Should have been brought to the Santa Cruz area.
Truck was not cleaned and had broken glass in back of truck. The dolly was not there and had to go to second location to get one. Gas was listed almost a 1/4 tank higher than actual
It took me over 45 minutes to check in - even though I had done an express check-in. The lady there was very helpful - it was not her fault, but her system wasn't working.
