The self service pickup was not very effective. I located the truck, tried to go through the online process, and it was a fail. The truck also did not have the moving pads I requested. I went to the office, waited to reserve a different, much older truck compared to the newer truck I was originally assigned, and finally was on my way. The return self service process was good.

The truck initially had a problem.The dealer had it repaired and had it ready at the time it was needed. This is the 4th time I’ve used u-haul in the past 4 years. I’ve always been pleased with the service and the aid given to me by the corporate office and private dealers in Firt Mill and Rock Hill.

Upon arrival, there wasn’t enough signage to differentiate between the 2 locations (the office and equipment overflow), so I waited at the wrong location for 5 minutes. The primary gentleman I dealt said I was “bitching” (his exact terminology) about crayons being smeared on the floor of the cab and drink residue in and around the cup holders. I also had to step outside of the office because he was smoking a Salem cigarette inside. I commented to him that I’m not around second-hand smoke and don’t want to be. Although I used the online check-in, which claims to speed up the process when picking up one’s equipment, it took 1 hour to pick up my equipment. And, I was late meeting my movers. I’ve had so many problems with U-Haul with the exception of the movers. When I mentioned this to the man, he asked me why I continue to deal with them. Great question and definitely one I will let guide my next move.

The uhaul employee seemed frustrated by the customer before me but it was obvious he was trying to maintain his composure. She seemed to be nit-picking everything little thing. The phone was ringing off the hook. He was initially a little abrupt (but not at all rude) with me but really was very patient and professional even when I came back after checking out the truck and found that the “nit-picking nag” had returned...yikes (and that was the name I made up for her in my mind...certainly not what he called her that I know of!). He still kept his cool. I wouldn’t have been able to be as calm.

The 10 ft trucks don't have a ramp and this was a real disappointment. It was almost a deal breaker when I got home. Renting for Uhaul for 20 years has me accustom to a ramp with a low threshold. I won't rent a 10ft again even though it's size it more convenient.

I called and could not get ahold to anyone at the office. I then had to call the 1800 number for them to get ahold to the regional guy. That guy was able to get me set up to pick up the trailer i had reserved days prior. Once i received my bill, i realized that they billed me for an extra day!! Not happy with this location at all.

Man who checked us in and man responsible for checking truck were very unfriendly. Man who brought appliance dolly and pads to truck was very nice. I was originally scheduled to pick up truck at another uhaul location at 8 am but they had no trucks. So uhaul found me truck here. I was told that I could pick it up at 8 am still but website showed this location opening at 8:30. When we got there we were told that the do not open until 9.

I actually picked up from the Outback buildings on Cherry Road. He did not have the reservation for me to pick up from his location but he switched and was SUPER helpful!

The place is a small, smelly, smoke filled, nasty room. Will never use this location again. Disgusting place to have to visit. Service was OK so no problem there. It is just a poor appearance for a business. And the cigarette smoke will knock you down going in the door. Not anything professional about the appearance.

This was not the original location we had reserved/requested. We were very confused about this change and it made us late for the pick up. The attendant onsite was very understanding and helpful once he realized we were running late. We appreciated his kindness and willingness to help. The app was tedious but very thorough. Could see where it could be very helpful in the future.

My experience with the u haul was okay bit the returning of the vechile i was cheated and can not speak to anyone till saturday. When i got the truck the gas was on the hand before full when i brought it back i put the same amt of gas in a lilttle over and i was told i didnt never will i visit this location again then it took 30% ....they will not get any service. From me ever again

Nobody there when I showed up. Had to call U-Haul 4 times. Got phone # for person who works there. Called but he didn’t answer or call back. Lock code wasn’t right & didn’t work. When I called about the code lady was rude. Made me late getting to where I had to pick up my stuff. Total nightmare!!

There was no one there, a random guy called Ryan showed up, and looked like it was the neighbor, he wanted me to leave the keys of the truck to him, I called uhaul they told me to put the keys under the seas and lock the truck, worst experience ever

Get better people to have good customer service that don't eat and smack food in front of you, the other employees was rude as well, burping all loud and not saying excuse me and coming from the restroom and didn't acknowledge guest was in the building. Just plain out poor customer service. Will go to another location for now on when I want to use Uhaul trucks. Thank You

I read negative reviews about this site before going and was not excited to use it. My experience was just the opposite of all the negative reviews. They were professional, treated people with respect, and were efficient with the paperwork and entire process. Too often we freely give criticism and don't take the time to praise when things go right. I will gladly use this site when I need another rental.

The original location we were supposed to pick up the truck did not have a truck so we were rerouted to this location. The office had a very strong cigarette smell and the employees smoked in the truck. I did the online check-in to speed up my pickup but it didn't speed it up. I still had to go through the process over again when I arrived and it took about 30 min.

From start to finish we had a horrible experience with this business and uhaul. The office of this business was in terrible condition. Trash and clutter everywhere. Trash also inside the actual uhaul we rented. We cleaned out the front of the truck before we even used it. Then with Uhaul.. Someone else used my boyfriends name with out permission. We have never heard of this person before until now. We called and reported this to the call center just to be unhelped. This phone call took 45 minutes and most of that was being put on hold. His name is still not cleared. No one that we spoke with could handle this matter. His name still has a counterfeit problem within the company. The standards of customer service we received was terrible.

The truck had trash in it. We had to document 11 pictures of damage to the truck that wasn't marked with an X. It took us 2 calls to customer service and an hour and a half to get the online check-out service to work. Never renting from you again.

They could start by greeting the customer as they come in the door instead of sitting in their seat saying nothing and having the customer start the conversation. It was clear they did not appreciate our business. They did not walk around the truck for an inspection; just pointed across the street where the truck was located. We had to ask for another worker to bring the truck across the street so we could do a visual inspection etc. Very poor customer service.

My overall experience with U-Haul has been great. My only recommendation to U-Haul is to somehow certify or qualify your moving help that you list on your website. Some of these movers have no clue how to load a truck and should be removed from your listing. On the other hand some are very qualified. You need to figure out how to sort this out!

They billed me for an overage of 300 plus miles. When I went to speak about the situation they agreed about the error but gave me a very hard time getting a refund. While they were attempting to process a refund they then charged my card an additional fee when I had just handed them cash. This experience has been very lackluster. The customer service on their part was very unprofessional. I had a uhaul rep on the phone the entire time I was there so there should be a recorded record of this incident. At this time I’m still waiting for a refund to process. Praying it does. The customer service from the uhaul rep when I called in was phenomenal and the only reason I can consider using uhaul again from a DIFFERENT location.
