The U-Haul app is horrible. Not user friendly at all. It would not work properly. It wouldn't open properly. It couldn't find my order that I entered into the system on my laptop even though it was "reserved". When checking in the truck I couldn't open the app to put in "checking in" info. When returning it couldn't locate the vehicle even though my cell had a 5G signal and I was standing in the rental parking lot. If a company wants to go to an app driven business the app has to be ready to handle it and easily

I reserved packing blankets, and therefore did not bring my own. The pickup representative said they didn't have blankets, and they NEVER have blankets although you can reserve them online. That is unacceptable. Other than that major discrepancy, all went well.

I pre-ordered on the U-Haul mobile app. While the truck was available, only 1 of the 2 dollys was available and there were no blankets available. I can’t safely move antique furniture items without blankets. The U-Haul representative told me getting blankets has been a problem. Maybe so, but it’s not my problem. Blankets are as important as a clean and reliable truck. Not a good experience.

I was made to take pictures of the odometer and gas gauge during pickup and drop off. I drove a total of 12 miles, and the idiotic man behind the counter (name was Pun or Poon, don’t know because he wouldn’t write it down) made me put $3.00 worth of gas in the truck even though the gas gauge had not moved. This is after I book it and arrive to find that they had no furniture pads, which I requested. I would NEVER use this location again and it’s an utter embarrassment for UHaul to even allow them to use their trucks and equipment.

The customer service at this location is very poor the representative was rude, inconsiderate and not friendly at all. I filled the van before I returned it and he still insisted that i fill the already filled tank again in his sight. This was a very short term rental and the worst experience i have had with a u haul rep. Not customer friendly at all. I will not be visiting this site again and will not be recommending this site to anyone.

This location had no furniture dolly, which I reserved, but I was not notified of this until I came to pick up the truck I reserved. I would have gotten a truck at a different location if I knew the items I needed would not be available .I could not do self checkout because that dolly was on my order but not available. As I was being checked out. I was asked to step aside every time another customer came up. It took about 20-30 minutes to get me checked out as a result. I will never go back to this location.

Pick up was smooth but the return was horrible. Owner was very rude and him and his son/ colleague tried to blame me for previous damage till I showed him the pre trip pics, he then angrily snatched the keys out my hand and walked in the store. Van is never cleaned or vacuumed. There's trash and used vapes behind passenger seats and dirty paper towels in the creases of the back. Never using this location again. Been using uhaul for my business for years and this is by far my worst experience.

The gas station owner needs to leave the Uhaul business. He yelled at me because i didn’t get gas at his gas station then went on to call the next customer for not filling up the gas tank to full when he got it 7/8 full. He’s idiotic and his temper is ridiculous

Fuel gauge was F when I started the rental, was F when I returned, the manager asked why i didn’t fill up there, I said, the gas gauge still said F he then pulled my UHaul around to the pump, filled it up with $10 and then forced me to pay it before leaving Took forever to check in as cashier was taking 5 other people for gas station purchases and kept pushing off my rental paperwork requested furniture dolley, didn’t have it Never referring anyone there and never going back based on hassle re: gas alone

The online reservation allowed me to reserve a dolly which this location doesn’t provide. Luckily I was able to find another, but that would have made the moving process completely undoable. They should tell you up front they don’t hVe certain equipment.

When we pulled into this location to return the truck, we first filled it up and then parked it. After parking it, an employee (maybe the owner) came over to us, while we were still in the truck, I rolled down the window and he told us we need to fill it up. When I said I had just filled it up, he said when? I said just now, he said I didn't see you do it. I said again that we just filled it up. Not only was this just rude, but we had to show a picture once inside showing that it was filled up and what the mileage was, so he would have seen that it was filled at that point. Due to this interaction, I would not like to use this location again, if there are other options available.

The owners at this gas station were rude! They tried to argue with me about how much had should be in the tank and luckily I took a picture. Then I had to wait 30 minutes just for them to tell me to return the truck later or online because their system froze. They really should not be a uhaul business at all!!! Never again, I’ll just go to a real uhaul place

The truck they originally tried to give me had the check engine light on. I told them this a they asked where I was seeing it. I pointed it out, and they begrudgingly gave me another truck. The other truck was dirty, the crank on the window was malfunctioning, and the passenger side window was loose so it swayed on the highway. It was safer than driving a truck with a check engine light across the country and I had no option to wait so I took it.

On check-in there was an issue that the vehicle, although on the lot, was not shown in the system as checked in. Cargo door VERY still to open It would be helpful to have a guide to the specific truck model available on paper or web - I had to use my flashlight to find the light switch in the dark.

This location is not really set up convent for U-Haul reservations. I showed up with a reservation and it still took an hour to reserve the truck. In addition the truck didn’t contain the dolly or all of the things I requested on the initial reservation. Read all of the reviews of this location and believe every one of them.

Terrible man who berated all of the customers accusing them of not filling up gas at his gas station. Meanwhile we filled gas at a Wawa down the street but did not ask for a receipt. I’ve rented frequently and never had an issue refueling my car or truck. This guy was a total prick to everyone including a woman who filled up her rental at his gas station. He still accused her. I ended up leaving because he was taking forever to get his son to deal with the group of frustrated customers. Horrible service, pushing everyone to go on the app but then barging in, slowing everyone’s return of their vehicles because he didn’t want to accept people fueled elsewhere. I gave up trying to reason with this guy. I had to get to work.

I will never rent a truck from this location again. Staff is beyond unprofessional and tries to force you to use their expensive gas to refuel the truck and then wanted to threaten me and my friends as we tried leave.

Overall the truck was great for what I needed. The brakes seemed like they might need to be looked at. Also, there was a cigarette butt in the ashtray...thankfully the cab did not have any smoke smells.The location and manager at the gas station were excellent though.

I got an email telling me my U-Haul pickup location changed from Phoenixville to this King of Prussia location. When we arrived it was very confusing- I could not check in online and when I went into the office to get the key, the man working called a phone number and had me talk to a U-Haul representative with no direction (just handed me his cell phone). We were given the wrong keys at first too. Maybe it’s because the location was changed by U-Haul last minute, but it was very unorganized and stressful. The truck itself, however, was very clean and ran well.

An unprofessional representative at the location. Took me additional 30 minutes to get the truck after going through online to reserve the truck. When I returned, staff was also unprofessional and clueless in assisting customers in returning truck. I asked for miles to be readjusted so I can get my refund and all I got was 'the manager will do it when he comes in'. Still waiting....

I had a problem with the windshield wiper fluid I’m a snow storm. I had to pull off at a car wash and defrost the fluid. It wasn’t winter fluid it was frozen. I couldn’t clean the windshield. I had to refill the fluid with my own fluid. The clerk didn’t care. Didn’t offer to reimburse me for my costs. It was dangerous driving on route 22 in western Pennsylvania. Check with PADOT.

The steering wheel was so crooked that it was almost completely sideways when the van was going directly straight. The oil service light was on. The “stabiltrak” malfunction light was on, and the headlight had a broken clip, so it was hanging off. Other than that, the van was great - only had 13k miles on it, so a shame it needs so much already.

I made a reservation 5 days ago for a van. I arrive, check in, find the van in the lot, and submit payment. Then the website says it cannot continue because my reservation was cancelled. I never requested a cancellation and didn't receive a cancellation email. I went into the store to ask what was going on, and found out that the desk staff cancelled my reservation (while I was there picking it up!!!) without contacting me in order to give my van to another customer who was in the store asking for one. I asked him what's the point of making a reservation if you'll just cancel it to give my van to another customer and he said "I don't know." I called customer service right in the store, where the staff told me "you don't know what your talking about" and called me a liar. They then tried to kick me out. I have never been treated so horribly by a business before. Will never ever consider setting foot on this property again.

The Norristown location failed me. I called this location and I have explained that Norristown, PA have failed me and thankfully they had one rental left. And their hours are amazing. You can rent up until 10pm. The gentleman at this location was friendly. Made everything so easy. I would definitely be coming back to this location again.

The truck was really dirty, the cab and the cargo area. I was supposed to be charged $68 and I was charged almost 90 dollars for I don’t know what reason, I never received my receipt.

The guy working was not very friendly and had me move the truck twice. I get that I parked in the wrong spot but I have never been there before how was I supposed to know. Instead of being a good dude and moving it, he made a big deal about it.

The clerk running the facility barely spoke English. It was very hard to understand him. I have filled out the reservation online and still it was a struggle to complete the transaction. The truck had leftover moving blankets in the back. He did not offer to remover them. He gave no instructions for the use of the truck. He did not point out existing damage, only showed me photos on a webpage. The entire experience was sketchy.

I don’t know his name but the man at the cash register was quite creepy. At first he seemed nice enough (complimented my hairstyle) but then he insisted I come behind the counter and sit down while they tried to figure things out. He stood literally RIGHT next to me the entire time and I couldn’t move without waiting for him to move out the way first. I gave one of the gas pump posts a love tap while backing up and he was there in 2.5 seconds to “direct me.” I know how to pull forward, turn my steering wheel, back up again, and drive away… I was just more focused on looking out for humans and missed the post in my side mirror. When I got back, I accidentally put the wrong zip code in at the pump (recently moved) so I grabbed my phone to look it up and by the time I closed the truck door he was right there, telling me to come inside. At the door he seemed to be holding it open for me so I went in first and I he came RIGHT behind me, practically breathing down my neck. Should have put my damn backpack back on. I thought I might need to sign something. Nope. He wanted me to tell him how much money I wanted to put into the tank. I was just going to top it off and didn’t know how much that would take, but he insisted so I told him $7. By this time I was annoyed. I filled up and when I got back in the truck I sat for a moment and he was there again. Pointing to where I could pull in. I am a grown ass woman. Solicitousness left the chat a long time ago and now this just feels like misogyny and/or someone trying to get in my pants. I parked and he was immediately there with his phone to take a picture of the odometer and gas gauge. Doesn’t someone need to attend to the cash register?! Kept asking if everything was okay and I kept saying yes, but stopped smiling a while ago. Pulled my car up behind the truck to move some items from it into my car. Guess who showed up asking if I needed help. I told him no. If I got the items into the truck by myself I sure as hell can get them back out by myself. He removed the dolly from my truck and said he really liked my name. It’s super common and not interesting at all. He finished by saying it had been a pleasure serving me and that he would “see me later.” Yeah, I would rather sign up for AAA while out of gas on the side of a busy highway, so that they could come help me than visit this gas station, even if it was the last one open for miles. I also loved knowing that he had easy access to personal information like my full name, phone number and (if he was so inclined) the make, model and license plate of my car. 10/10 would not recommend this location if you are a woman unless you have a great RBF, enjoy unsolicited attention, or like when a man treats you as if you’re fresh out of the womb and don’t know how to do anything for yourself.
