Perry MThe instructions for doing an after hours pick up were not very clear, and your customer service representatives were short and snippy when I was asking for clarification on what I needed to do in order to pick up the truck after calling and also trying live chat. The instructions were not clear online about verifying payment method, and it seemed repetitive to do so after I had to put a payment method when reserving. The pickup process delayed me by over 30 minutes and left me feeling frustrated with the lack of and eventual unpleasantness of communication.

Shirley RI will never use the remote location pick-up service again. After wasting over 2 hours trying to get a truck at Paradise Liquor in Loudon Tn. I finally had to cancel the reservation and drive to another location, Global Pawn and Storage, and pick up a truck which took a whole 5 minutes to secure. Your local, unmanned pick up points, are a joke and it cost me over 3 hours and more expense from milage charges and fuel to get the job done. The absolute experienced I have ever had with U-Haul.
LAWRENCE WI called the rental location the day before the scheduled pickup. The person who answered said there was no reservation and said there was no truck. I explained I was calling to confirm the reservation for the following day. Again, told no truck. I was given the phone number to corporate to locate another rental location, which I called. That person was very competent. She found the reservation without a problem and said the truck should be at the location the following day as it was scheduled to be returned later the same day as the phone call. She called the location and verified the information. I then called the location and also confirmed the same, with a feigned apology for the confusion. The day of the reservation, your website could not ascertain my location so I was unable to checkout the rental. I called the help line. That person was very competent and helped me trouble shoot the issue every which way possible, however to no avail. Ultimately, I had to wait for the rental location to open and hour later. This caused many issues as we had tight timelines and people waiting at other locations. The items we were picking up were no longer available when we arrived because those people had tight timelines, with flights to catch. Therefore, I spent $125+ (plus gas) for your rental without need. A total waste of money. We are very disappointed with the experience. From beginning to end, but for the two people we spoke with at your 800 numbers.
Martha SWe called ahead to confirm since would be picking up after hours. We did the driver license verification and everything online, with them on the phone. We still sat for 2 hours, one waiting on hold and one with someone in corporate who asked us for our passport (we are from FL and were in TN). Truck was in a very dark alley with no light. We finally gained access but it was so late we decided to get a hotel and continue on in am. The owner came out to retrieve the lock and wouldn't even look at us (we had been instructed to leave it on an a/c unit, which we couldn't see in the dark). I would only use this location if you pick up during normal hours. Truck A/C went in and out as we drove. We actually called for help and waited (yet another delay). We eventually figured out that if you switched it to vent, the air flow restored and you could go back to a/c. Apparently a known problem from what the repair person told us. Truck was clean.
Jamie KFix your U-Hauls
Ricky LU-Haul messed up my reservation. Instead of picking up my rental 2 miles away from my place I had to drive 100 miles to get my rental truck. Put extra unnecessary miles on my jeep and gas; and all U-Haul did was credited $50. I spent more $ in gas to get to destination to get my rental. It was a horrible experience.
