What was the most disappointing part was the gas tank only had 1/4 full, so when I returned the truck after just under 50 miles, I was charged a penalty for having less than a 1/4 tank. Not goo, nor was it explained when I picked the truck up.
ROBERT SSetting aside lack of customer service and friendliness, proficiency was the issue for me. They had me write down two references on some random scribbled on notepad which was fine, but didn't there was no sense of organization or knowledge on how to rent out the truck. Upon returning, a man did meet me outside. I asked if I had to do some checkout procedure (what I am used to doing renting from other locations), he told me know the guy will get around to it sometime this week. I did take a picture of the dashboard information, but I didn't get a receipt or anything when I left which caused me to be somewhat nervous. Sure enough I get a phone call from Uhaul on Tuesday asking if I ever returned the truck. It was returned on Saturday afternoon, the Uhaul wasn't check in until WEDNESDAY afternoon. To me that is just unacceptable. I was lucky I was only charged for the one day, but the experience in general was ridiculous.
Candice SI returned my truck on time in the morning and handed my key directly to the attendant at Golden Deli. They advised no other process was needed. The location failed to check it in until much later that evening. I got charged for an extra day even though I turned it in on time. This is a poor business practice, particularly since people dropping off a U-Haul truck could have been long-term customers of the business.
Richard MMy reservation kept changing. This was not the one I originally chose. Every day there were updates. At one point they changed my drop off location to WI-1500 miles away. I went to update it and the first drop off location I chose was no longer an option so I picked this one. Lo and behold, they changed it back to my first choice but when I went to go drop it off, the reservation changed back to the other one. I called theeir 800 number and after being on hold for 20 minutes they said they couldn’t help me and said they advise me to go to the other place-11 miles away or incur extra fees. This made my drop off time late and over allotted mileage so they still managed to scam me out of an additional $60.

john mWhole in the wall convience store. Poor guys internet was so slow, he had to keep ringing customers up while getting my paperwork to load! I purchased a furniture dolly and moving blankets, none were on truck. Store didn't have a stock for them either.
Virginia HThe worst service I had ever and I've used you all many times the 1st place told me they had a truck and it would be One way so we did all the paperwork and had everything done then I gotta call A-day before I needed it and they told me that location can't do that so they sent me to the doswellet me to the Doswell location the And the man that was running that location was too busy at the slot machines it was dollar slots and he told me I had to wait till he was done when he was Done he started doing the paperwork and I asked him so I still get today and all day Saturday he said yeah I said OK good that's what the other 2 locations told me but that was not true I got a call from the Petersburg location tell him that that I had To have it turned back in by 11 o'clock I said there's no way because I'm still loading up the truck I was told I had it all day he said nope and I said well I'm loading up the truck but it's nothing I can do I told him I needed it all day He said so what's going to happen now and I said well I don't know what to tell you if you have to Abbott come get it believe my stuff in it he said we can either call the police or I have to charge you for another day and I said of course you do I don't understand why but of course yes you're going to have to because you all lied to me and told me I could have it all day The 1st location service was fine the lady that called me wasn't great the location in Doswell sucked will never recommend that to anybody and the last location I turned it in no way never again Nope I'll go to any other rental place besides you all and I'll tell everybody else I know to do the same thing that was a lie And I was told I would either get charged or whatever if I didn't return it so I returned it and they charged me another $59 so to use it a short time Roughly 12 hours the total bill I think came out to write around with putting fuel in it was like $290 never again I can promise You that

CHRISTOPHERW LThe staff at this location were very rude and acted as if we had interrupted their day by returning the UHaul. Worse, they refused to let me see the final bill, or even tell me what it would be. When I asked for the telephone number to this location so I could call later, they became angry and said they didn't have to give their number to anyone.
RICHARD SThey have over charged me, Each time I have dropped off there I need to disconnect and then move it into position. They never look it over or inspect it and now they have over charged me. What a joke!!

WALTER TThis site is a local grocery store/deli/eatery. The man who saw me pull up was the only employee who was outside smoking. He told one customer before me he would be right in. We both waited until he was done with his smoke. The other customer was not pleased. Just a note, when I parked the truck, in the only spot available to my reckoning, the smoking employee noticeably shook his head as to be disgusted that I parked said truck in that available spot. He could have approached me to instruct where the truck could go. My sister who followed me there shared the same sediment when I got in the car. I did return to the store to explain there were furniture pads on the truck and he was less than impressed. All in all, he may have had a bad day. But I have learned that when dealing with the public who just spent over $600 with your business, you leave your bad day elsewhere.

RICHARDALLAN MWorst experience! I called 2 times before I drove 30 miles to confirm my rental trolley, upon arrival the wrong trolly , and they did not want to let me have it. They only had one! They charged me $400 more! Obvious switch and bait scam. Uhaul I will never use them again, NEVER! They made my move stressful and horrible. DO NOY USE UHAUL!!!
charles cWe had to wait 45 minutes because the previous person had not returned the truck on time. The clerk there would not let my son use the restroom saying that the owner doesn’t allow. So we had to drive to another location enemy though we were paying customers.
Ken HThere was a problem checking in the UHAUL truck when I returned it. The clerk had no connection to the internet at the time. I finally received an email from UHAUL with the total that was charged to my credit card but there was no itemized list of the cost.

Patrick GMy experience was it so great! My paperwork was wrong which caused a lot of confusion for myself and the workers who were trying to figure out what had happen. The truck was very shakey and the gas tank was below half when i went to pick it up.

Robert Stire was flat on trailer it had a slow leak during the day I had to pump it up three times during the day and hope like hell we made it home. Cost at least additional hour time for a long day stopping places out of the way to pump tire. Not fun on an 830 mile trip.
MICHAELWAYNE OWe rented a 10 foot truck from this location. Three hours into our trip, the truck broke down and had to be taken on a flatbed tow truck to be repaired (sensor). Uhaul put us up in a nice hotel and paid for dinner. Fortunately, the truck was able to be repaired and we made it to our destination. Uhaul was amazing with their support for us and we are so thankful.

Stephen PI called uhaul to reserve a truck, I went to the location they gave me to pick it up, that location had 1 small truck. Joan (at the location) called a nearby location who said they had the truck reserved for a one way rental but they couldn't do the one way, I could go round trip for an extra $50. I called another location while Joan called D.M., the location I called advised me to call uhaul for another reservation, they messed up the first one, they'll mess up the second one. Finally went to a different location all together and got a truck, when I turned it in I made the reservation I need for 12/31, hopefully that'll go more smoothly.

Noble BThis was not the location I selected when making my reservation. No where in the process did it say it was a preferred and not guaranteed pick up location. I selected the Parham Rd location for a reason. Not happy about that inconvenience and will not recommend Uhaul to anyone, nor will I patronize again!!
Electa VContract contained a major error and I had to spend almost 30 minutes there waiting for U-Haul corporate to fix it over the phone. It should have already been handled because I identified the possibility of this exact error and was told it had been taken care of and of course, it turned out that it had not.

TRACY CTook an hour to get the contract completed (that was filled out in advance). Charged the insurance coverage and never asked if I wanted it. The individual at this location had never done a rental. There were beer bottles on the back of the truck and on the ground around the truck. If I have to pick up a truck here again, I will cancel the rental. Horrible.
Clifford STrailer had debris inside and I was required to clean it out. More importantly, although the location had Sunday hours from 8am-8pm, there was no employee present representing U-Haul, thus "closed". As a smaller location, sharing space with a convenience store, the store employee rightfully said she could not assist and that the u-haul employee "never works on Sundays". U-Haul should confirm that there is actually someone pitching-up at work at this location on Sundays. In any case, I was able to still pick-up the equipment after contacting U-Haul service (800) number and contract was executed over the phone. I was pleased that this could be done in this format. Had I been unable to obtain the equipment, I would have encountered a costly, logistical nightmare.

Gary Cgot there to pick up my uhaul just to be told the lady that does the uhaul gig isn't there. So I had to make some phone calls first which took some time. after finally talking over the phone to someone who knew how to do there job it went smoother.
