Rented a 6X12 trailer. When checking the trailer, the right rear turn signal was inoperable. The service representative stated he couldn't tell if it was my hookup or the trailer. When I assured him I had just checked out my system (I tow frequently), he then said it may be that the trailer hitch may be dirty, and it would probably start working after I got down the road. Then he walked away. If I wasn't in a situation where I had to have the trailer to help someone else, I would have left it there. I have NEVER had a U-Haul center not address a safety issue. I will not do business with this center again. They also didn't have the furniture blankets I had ordered.William B.

I reserved the 15 ft truck 2 weeks in advance and was guaranteed the truck would be there. When I arrived my truck was not there. After another customer came in and jumped in front of my with her problems, they finally came back to me. 45 min later I finally got to talk to the guy. He told me if have you wait at least 2 more hours for the truck to get there because it has not arrived. When I asked if they could call the person to see where they were he said it wouldn't help. They eventually gave me a 10 ft truck which make moving more challenging because I now needed to make more trips and waste more money since I am driving more miles. They didn't even try to accommodate me in any way or even apologize for not having the truck. This was a very poor experience and I will be looking other places rather than uhaul if I need a truck to move again.Shane D.

This entire rental experience was horrible from start to finish. Equipment at preferred location not available. Sent 15 miles to another location that did not have equipment. Called customer service and they wanted me to travel over 50 miles to another sight. Finally found one closer. Went to that location and they were not open on Sundays. Was supposed to initially pick up equipment at 11 am and at 4 pm still no rental truck. I had two movers waiting that I had to pay. Will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. BTW - noticed on my credit card that I have been billed. Cannot stress enough that I will share my experience with everyone that I can. Horrible experience!Seth B.

I had a reservation but when I went to get the unit the original location didn't have one. I called uhaul and they gave me a 2nd location and I went there and they didn't have one either. I called uhaul back and they told me they have no more 26' trucks within 60 miles so I had to settle for a 15' truck instead. I arrived just in time to get it because it was just about to be rented. Now instead of me making one trip I had to make 2 which cost me more in mileage. Also- I never received my final charges. Question- How do the agent rent out a truck that is reserved? I waisted 2 hours of my morning due to this.Anthony L.
I reserved a trailer two weeks in advance to move some stuff from Rocky Mount to Raleigh. I was scheduled to pick up the trailer at 9:00Am. I received a call on the day I was to pick up as I was on my way to pick up saying they didn't have the trailer that I would have to go an additional 30 miles each way out of my way to pick one up at another U-Haul location. I was not happy and I asked why did I give my credit card to reserve this two weeks ago she said the place I reserved didn't have the trailer I said well that's funny because I went by there the day before and saw what I ordered to make sure it was there! She said well I have an open trailer or a much smaller trailer very poor customer service!!Jeff W.

BEWARE: Even if you reserve equipment well in advance for one location, they will change it to a different location without confirming it with you first, and this may mean picking up your equipment hours away. You will not know unless you happen to check your online reservation every other day or the day before your pick-up when they send the â€œcheck-inâ€ text or email. The representatives at the Rocky Mount location were great, especially Billy. However, a different representative at the Commercial Avenue location in Raleigh, NC falsely assured me that he reserved my equipment at a Raleigh location, but I learned the day before my reservation that he reserved it for the Rocky Mount location. Also, the representatives at the Capital Blvd location were rude and unhelpful. The women there seemed to have the attitude of â€œit's not at my location, so I don't care.â€ I booked this reservation weeks in advance. The point of a reservation is to establish reassurance that you'll have what you need when moving. The misrepresentation by the original representative regarding the pick-up location caused a huge inconvenience. I will no longer use U-haul when moving and will not recommend u-haul to anyone else; it's too risky.Destiney T.

I was actually extremely surprised at how easy everything was online and going into the store was amazing. It was super clean, the vehicle was ready and clean and the people were very nice. I was actually in and out in about 2 minutes. I also rented during the pipeline hack and the van had a full tank of gas which took me where I needed to go and back on 1/2 a tank - so I have the highest praise for the entire experience.Amber P.

This was the worst moving experience ever for us. First of all, I had to drive 40 miles away to get the trucks, secondly, altered my original order to have a large dolli, for moving heavy furniture. They didn't have one. Thirdly, when I arrived at the storage location at 8671 Central Ave. Capital Height Md., the system was down I had "2" 26 Footers of boxes and furniture. One truck to go in storage. Your people at Uhaul didn't and could not accommodate. I was disturbed because I was told that there was lots of storage units. However, that was not the case.
