Noah was a great guy to deal with he took his time to explain to me how to load and unload my car on the trailer as it was my first time handling a car . He hook it up to me and did all the check up under the burning sun with a smile. Highly recommended

No one at the office. Phone number disconnected. Stairs and entranceway had holes in the deck(walkway) Recommend be removal/discontinuance as a dropoff point for Uhaul
THOMAS GCheck-in with the Golden Gate representative was OK; however, after I got out on the road, I noticed that the gas guage on the truck was showing I had a half tank, whereas the U-Haul contract showed that I picked the truck up with gas between 5/8 and 3/4. The location of this U-Haul pickup location is a trailer, which is in bad shape. Nice. Very shortly after getting on the road, the check engine light came on and was blinking, which led me to believe that the problem was serious. We felt it best to pull off the road and get a hotel for the night. Early the next morning (6:30 am), I called U-Haul to advise of the problem. The rep advised that she would send out a local diagnostic/repair service company but since they were all currently closed, she would call me for a status at 8:30 am. Not hearing from her at 9:00 am, I called U-Haul again and wanted to know what was going on and asked them to put a rush on this. I was informed a half hour later that someone would be arriving in about an hour, which did occur. It took the diagnostic guy another hour to determine the problem was a minor misfire in the engine but he couldn't tell me the cause of the misfire. He advised that it would be OK to continue our journey from Florida to MIchigan. That recommendation didn't give me a "warm/fuzzy" feeling but we had no choice to get back on the road, which was 11:45 am. Because we lost a half day of travel, we were not able to reach our destination of Marietta GA and therefore lost $140 for a hotel that we had pre-paid.

MANAL EOverall experience was ok. No problems on the road. However there was a little fender damage and the owner duct taped it and thankfully it held. Also ball lock/latch was bent. Again I was thankful it held. When we dropped trailer off in Houghton Lake on Saturday they couldn't believe the people sent me out that way.
Russell BI am not the kind of person to complain for not reason. Really bad experience, do not come to this location, not recommended. Manager came 45 minutes late, he came didn’t apologize but provided excuses. Offer to take care of me with a discount and I was ok with that on the bill but never did. He tried to play dumb and the finally stated the system seem to be down. Unacceptable, this place should not be in business.

Jerry AThe cab was filthy and stunk of cigarettes. We had to clean and deodorize it before I could use it to make my move. There was still trash in the cab from the previous renter. It took for ever to get checked in and be on my way. They were very unorganized. I’ll never use this location again.

Richard JOne side of the trailer had tail lights that were not working. Instead of offering a solution, the gentleman jokingly told me that I hopefully won't get pulled over because it's during the day. Their hours were listed as being open from 8 AM and when I arrived at 8:45 AM, the facility was closed and the customer service agent advised me to drop off the trailer on the sidewalk as it was the only place with space left (others dropped off entire box trucks outside their gate and blocked the area). So because they were not open when they were supposed to be, it was also considered an after-hours dropoff and costs more money.
