While the location was awkward with no real access to an office, the process was seamless and very easy to maneuver through.

We reserved the truck online which was a big help. Please include a section with the location of the truck. We had a hard time finding it.

The truck was clean because it was literally brand new. The office was NASTY and cluttered. The owner/associate was not professional. I came a whole day early to touch basis and provide whatever information they need, so that there would be no delays with my lmove. Unfortunately, I was still delayed by more than an hour. He was uninformed and did not do well at explaining the issue. Also, he tried to manually write in incorrect information regarding the gas level. When I verified and noted it, he went to go print another clear copy (without his hand-written marks). Uhaul needs to do better with vetting people who do business under their name. This is my 2nd time having a poor experience with Uhaul in Hampton, VA.

Truck was old I assume it was hard to break it was like raggedy the analog to put the car in reverse was hard also when I got in I took a picture to show the gas was not where he said it should’ve have been! I submitted the picture and my card was still charged . 3/10 would not recommend

The location was in an unsafe area. There were no directions for dropping of the trailer other than a 8x11 paper on the door that I found after dropping the trailer. I had to drop the 6x12 trailer by myself and it was very heavy. I check with the office at 8:15am and still no one opened the office although the office hours were posted for 8am. I will never use this location again.

The lock boxes for the truck keys were all broken. When I called to get access to my key, I was told by the worker who had to come back (he said he was at Walmart although the location was open): “I’m pissed off because it’s an online pickup. I shouldn’t have to come back.” To improve, I would not let your customers be spoken to this way while they wait in freezing cold weather to get access to their keys. Especially when they can’t control the lock boxes being broken.

Truck was available 30+ miles away from my original destination. U-Haul only accommodated me for 50 extra free miles. Ended up paying $160 on top of a $360 one way rental because of mileage due to lack of availability of trucks and last minute reservation change on Uhauls part. Not happy about that at all.

Online ordering: I didn't order the hand truck and the floor dolley because I already had one. Getting those items taken off would've involved redoing the order and I swallowed the extra $24 rather than delay an extra 15 minutes. Truck condition: Good, but the wipers needed to be replaced. I also had no idea when I started driving how to turn off the tow light when unloaded until I got to the destination. Also, the shifter made it very difficult to get into reverse. Personnel: The check-out person was very nice and answered my questions. About the ratings above: I have no way of judging Excellent vs Poor since this was my first experience.

I selected that the trip was to be dropped off at a different location. I called in to confirm if I could drop off the vehicle at the move-in location, ti be told that I could after calling in the following morning at 7am. I called the following morning to be told that I could not change the drop off location. This misinformation costed my family valuable time and money. Due to this poor transparency and even poorer customer service, I cannot recommend this service unless absolutely necessary.

I really had a bad time getting my U-Haul as the payment was a difficult thing to get done I was first being charged for more then my agreement.

This authorized dealer was so unprofessional and should not be open. I had multiple issues with my over all rental of the truck. I was provided 12 rental agreements which were all incorrect, they attempted to charge me $239 a day for 4 days when it should have been the $40 per day plus fees and safe move insurance. They truck was very clean however the ride was far from smooth. It bounced a lot and at times felt unsafe. The guy who runs this "Good News" place does not know what he is doing. Would never use this place again.

The address was a bit hard to find so address need to be clearly posted on the business door. Service was very good overall.

I was so disappointed as I've rented several times over the years and have never received a truck near Empty. Had to stop for gas before I could go pick up what was being hauled. Uncalled for. Make sure the trucks have @ least 1/4 tank of gas.

The truck they tried to rent to me initially appeared to be in an accident. The side of the box was smashed in and the tire had a 2” gouge showing the metal cords in the side wall and the battery was dead. It took over 2 hours get a truck. I reserved a truck at 10am, they changed the pick up time to 3pm at 10pm the night before. That truck didn’t come in at 3pm and I had to call to organize a different truck that was available the whole time at a branch near by. Communication was awful and the liability of renting a truck in that condition is ridiculous.

Difficulty check in and no assistance was offered. Explained the difficulty with checking and was not able to check out. Never had this problem in the past. Additional charge for gas and mileage which I have pictures before and after. Not a good experience.

Truck exterior was not clean whatsoever. Inside of truck cab was very wet when I first got in (no clue why it would be wet). Inside of cargo area had huge grease spot on floor and was very slippery at time of pickup. This location did not have appliance dolly even though I has reserved one.
