melena p. | Overall ExperienceTruck was dirty on the outside and had a previous renter's contract/invoice on the floorboard. Not horrible, but not clean. I rented the truck at 12 noon with a standard rental time of four hours. At 1:10 pm I received a text from U-Haul saying, "Your rental is due back in 2 hours at 2:15 CDT", two hours earlier than I was allowed in the contract. I was actually finished with the truck at 12:55 pm and parked it in the exact spot I had gotten it. Unfortunately, there was no one in the office and no note on the door to indicate when they would return. I waited 15 minutes. During that time, I called the office and only received an answering machine. I left (in my own car) at 1:10. At 2 pm I called and got the answering machine again. Because of the text stating the vehicle was due back at 2:15, I drove back to the office and there was a different person working. During the completion of the contract, she mentioned that she and the person who gave me the keys initially usually go out to lunch on Fridays. Obviously the time when the office was vacant was planned but no one bothered to put up a sign saying anything like "out to lunch, back at 1:30" or whatever time they returned. And they could have given me a heads up when I picked up the truck that the office would be closed for lunch, so I could have expected that. And they could have answered their phone. Very inconvenient for customers.

CRYSTAL S.Owner of the business was 45 minutes late for my pick-up time and when she did arrive she came within 3 inches of hitting me with her convertible that she parked in the handicapped space. I am handicapped with a placard but left that space open in case a van needed it for the loading zone. She told me she can park wherever she likes because it is her building. She was in a very foul mood and complained about her family and stated that she had no desire to be at work but that she had no choice but to be there. She offered no apology or compensation for being late, never called to let us know she would be late, and she got several details of our reservation wrong. I will NEVER use this location again, what a nightmare.

Lanci S. | Overall ExperienceI had to rent my truck 59 miles away from my location. I was only given additional 59 miles which didn't cover the allocated miles fir my rental. I paid an additional 1.73 after drop off. It's not the money but the point of the matter. I drive straight and had no extra Miles from point a to b. At end of day I feel they use this as a additional revenue driver to generate profits over customer needs.

Had to drop off Equipment at with No one at store front. I really think uhaul should stand by their guarantees when they inconvenience their customers and make them drive across town in the opposite direction that they need to go.

MARIE R.I had a horrible experience with this place! When I picked up my Uhaul rental the starting mileage didn't match what was listed on my contract, and the fuel tank was left on empty. I ordered an appliance dolly and was given a regular dolly, instead. Because the mileage was incorrect from the start, it affected the ending mileage. The national Uhaul number was no help, either No one would answer the phone! I finally was able to speak to someone through chat and was able to send images to prove the mileage so that I wouldn't be charged. This is by far the worst experience that I've had with Uhaul!! I hope the next customer has a better experience than I did, but I would not recommend this location to anyone.

JONATHAN P.Partly my fault, I suppose for not going back in to complain when I was at the store. There was an Empty fast food bag on the center seat, and 2 empty cigarette boxes in the cup holders on the dash. I was in a hurry because I picked up the truck on my lunch hour. I loaded my car onto the trailer to get it back to my house and then get back to work. After work I loaded the tractor I was hauling, and when I opened the box for the first time, there was junk in it (a whiteboard with a hole in it, a gas can without a lid, and some used packing materials such as paper, wads of tape, used boxes and bubble wrap which I discarded. I disposed of those items added a few of my items and was ready to begin my 470+ mile trip. I began by topping off the fuel tank. While fueling, I read the contract, and took note of the mileage, and then when I got back into the truck, it was apparent that something was not correct -- The mileage on the truck I was driving was almost 8,000 miles higher than indicated on the contract. I had to contact U-haul to get that straightened out. (a 20+ minute wait on the phone to get an operator) I was given a truck different than the one listed on my contract, but the trailer was correctly listed, this possibly explains the trash -- I suppose the truck that was listed on my contract may have been clean? Then 20 minutes into my trip I had a flat on the trailer - no fault of U-haul(there was a screw in the tire). I could not navigate the Uhaul.com/help site (most likely due to my outdated phone). So there was another 20+ minute wait for an operator and then a 90 minute wait for the roadside assistance. Improvements - at the location they could do a walk thru with the customer and confirm the mileage before leaving the store (that would have corrected the wrong truck issue and possibly even assured a clean truck - and the mileage and gas level could also be reaffirmed)- as a company, You can improve the wait time on the phone. I have rented from U-haul in the past, so I know the issues with the truck are not normal -- this was my first need for roadside assistance.

robert W.If a customer is interested in using the 24/7 share program to rent a truck and they have an apple phone, emphasize heavily that they have to download the U-haul app first to make an account to pick up the truck. I had to struggle with customer service for half an hour with the rep saying I could make my account on safari, but the U-haul website isn't formatted that way on safari and I couldn't create an account that way. The warning beforehand would have saved me an hour of frustration.

Customers using smart phone for after hours is a great option for the future/ which I used this option. Cleaning and upkeep of the truck for the operator/Driver should be a incentive or Discount. Clean windshield/windows, mirrors, Cab & Storage compartment. I would love too see a Military/Veteran discount since most Military Veterans do have big vehicle driving skills and proper upkeep.
