LEONARD LI sent the following email to the customer service email address, but did not get a response: Hello: I am reaching out regarding my U-Haul rental, contract 71282654. I made a reservation for a van to be picked up at 2pm on Saturday 5/3. Upon arrival, I was notified that the van had not been returned yet, and the clerk offered to call the rental to see when he would have the van back. I was told the van would be back within an hour, then was called an hour later to say it would be pushed back until 4pm at the earliest. I ended up getting the van at 4:30, and as a result, was unable to complete the moving day as scheduled. My team was unable to wait for me, and it delayed the entire process by a full day, creating a long and frantic day to follow. I am a regular customer of U-Haul and depend on the reliability of these rentals for my business. It is integral to my operations that the reservation be reliable, and in this particular case, it cost me money and time that I cannot afford, leaving me without an alternative option. Given the circumstances, I believe a full refund is in order to cover the time and money that this cost me, as well as a credit for my next rental to restore my faith in U-Haul. I am a small nonprofit organization on a very tight budget, and have suggested the convenience and pricing of U-Haul to several of my colleagues. I understand that things happen, but do believe that it is the responsibility of the business to make things right when they do. Please advise accordingly and assist me as a loyal U-Haul Customer. ANDREW SEasy and seamless from start to finish. Love the location to pick up and drop off and the staff was super helpful. My go to U-Haul rental spot.
ERIK PI didn’t know if the truck would make it. With a full load of stuff. Was a little concerned. We were only making two trips of 80m. Something wrong with the exhaust system which made a lot of noise. The check engine lights came on right away. The wipers were coming off the blades. Which wasn’t great at it was raining. But overall, it did the trick. But they need to do a better job maintaining these things.

DONNA PVery happy with price. Paid $108 for renting 9 foot van for 24 hrs and drove to/from Brooklyn 73 miles at 1.19 and had the van 8am-4pm. Location of Trucks/Vans is a 3 minute ride/1 mile away from Greenwich Hardware Store. You park your car at that location easy and safe for free where you pick the rental up.
Rafal BLeft rear tire was low (had a slow leak) and warning light for this was on in the vehicle when I picked it up. Cabin and glass dirty and no windshield washer fluid in the reservoir. Truck was located about a 1/3rd of a mile for where filled out paperwork. No night drop box for keys.

CHARLES MI was charged a price I didn't think I'd be charged . I was over charged. As well the truck was a faulty truck and needs mechanical work. Driving it was really scary for me and I felt really unsafe .

VICTOR AWe received our U-Haul truck with 3/4 of a tank of gasoline,. We returned the U-Haul truck with a full tank of gasoline. considering the size of a gas tank and a large vehicle we feel $15-$20 should have been deducted from our bill. RAYMOND CI have no problem with the rental location, but your website is awful. I just wanted to rent a car and I had to go through pages of pages of unnecessary questions. It's the opposite of user friendly.
PERIKLIS BJohn from Greenwich Hardware was wonderful - so kind and helpful. But the UHaul trailer I rented leaked water, the electrical connector would not stay securely fastened so I drove in pouring rain for a long time without knowing that I had no taillights (very dangerous), and the trailer was filthy when I picked it up (had clearly been used to haul soil!) which caused issues at drop off.

Ronald CThe rental from Greenwich Hardware was a complete and total disaster. They should not be allowed to rent. I was told to go to a location other than what it said on my reservation paperwork which was a big red flag. When I arrived at a remote location, there was no truck matching the description of the truck described on the paperwork. I called Greenwich Hardware who were condescending and zero percent helpful. As a woman and I senior citizen, I was asked to wait for over an hour from when the truck was rented in a deserted parking lot on the other side of town. All Greenwich Hardware kept telling me was that the truck was "on its way". Finally, two men showed up with a truck and jumped out and ran away. The front windshield had a crack at least 24 inches long. I beeped the horn an the men returned and told me there was no crack. I took a picture of both them and the crack and they admitted it had the crack but that it was marked with two stickers so I wouldn't be charged for the damage. I called the store because there were two other 10' trucks in that parking lot but the man at Greenwich Hardware told me "Take it or leave it." I was paying two men for over an hour to load the truck at my home so I drove it home. Just about every light on the dashboard lite up. When the men opened the back of the truck at my house, the bed was loaded with gravel and we had to clean it out. There was supposed to be 2 dozen blankets but my husband had to go pick those up at Greenwich Hardware. This took a lot of time as they were not ready and the man kept going in and out of the backroom collecting blankets. This cost me more time and money. The mileage on the contract was also much lower than the mileage on the truck, and the gas tank was not completely to Full. Throughout this ordeal I spoke with a woman named Ray at 1 800-U-Haul who was neither helpful or sympathetic. I plan to report this as elder abuse in that I was put at risk and mistreated in every way. In contrast, the people in Brattleboro for the return were both sympathetic and helpful. I felt terrible leaving them this broken, deplatadated truck.
