I was called the morning of the pick-up and told that there was an emergency and I needed to pick-up the truck from the off site location. when I arrived the first truck was filthy with a large crack in the wind shield. I was offered another truck. This truck was also filthy - inside and out. I had no choice but to take it. These trucks are VERY POORLY maintained. I will not rent from U-Haul again. The truck was also way over-priced per milage. I compared to other locations and was charged .40 more per mile than most other locations.

The location is a bit difficult - not like a retail but a construction site. However the saving grace is the UHaul person who guided me on the phone to pick it up and made it painless. My van was dirty from outside and windscreen was dusty but for a local move I was able to make it work.
Raman BThe pick up is off site, which is a bit of an inconvenience and the interior of the van was not clean- there was dirt, crumbs and some sort of oily gunk in the cup holders. I needed to clean it before use. Otherwise the vehicle was in good condition and there were no mechanical problems. The staff was friendly and professional.
Tamara GThe cargo area was not swept clean and the cab area was dusty. That should have been checked before the vehicle was rented to us. The engine fan belt made a squeaky sound intermittently. The heater/AC fan only worked on fast speed. The fuel tank should’ve been full. It is much easier to return the vehicle full rather than trying to get the exact fuel amount we started with. Indeed, we left the truck with more fuel… Perhaps $15 or $20 more. We swept out the cargo area as we were supposed to.
