Check in online needs to happen before your geofence. I spent 30 minutes of move time filling out forms and awaiting confirmation. Combine this with the fact the previous renter left only 1/8 tank of fuel so I had to fill up the vehicle. I literally lost an hour of time before even starting the move. However, your local office was very understanding.

My reservation was for 9am, however when I attempted to pick up my rental the app said there was no equipment assigned to my reservation and that the location had not put the keys out so I had to wait an hour for the location to open.

DAVID VAbsolutely the worst experience! They were closed for lunch (no notice provided on uhaul app).. there was a notice posted to the door about their policy on how to return the trucks/trailers, requiring customers to unhook and place the trailers in a separate parking area and the same for the trucks, else there would be an upcharge. No help provided. When they opened, the representative barely acknowledged my existence, asked for the keys. When give the keys, she said that was it. I asked if there was a receipt, she said Uhaul would provide. Never did a walk around check for the vehicle; she never even stood up from her seat and seemed if I was ‘disturbing her work’ as she was writing in a dry erase bosrd for her storage units. 30 minutes after dropoff, I noticed the Uhaulnapp still had the vehicle as out. So I call Uhaul and they check; the location still hadnt checked in the vehicle claiming too many customers—we were the only ones there at time of dropoff. Anyway, then about 30 minutes later, we receive a $9.90 charge for mileage. I of course question this and find it petty since I had called uhaul to find out the status and filed a complaint. This location needs to learn proper customer service, especially to uhaul customer expectations. Would never go there again.

Jameel TNot everyone returning a big trailer is a big strong male!! guard Dog Stirage has a tiny parking lot with hardly no room to back in a trailer. I went into Guard Dog Office, and the rudest girl working in there said “sorry I guess you’ll have to get a bunch of strong guys to help you!” She was so rude. Finally got the trailer backed in and drove back to the office because it’s across a ravine and she had locked me out of the office!! it’s a terrible place for a U-Haul drop off, and that girl should be fired for what she said and then locking me out they have a sign on their door, badmouthing U-Haul. Unbelievable you put people and customers in that situation.!

DAVID SI called the next day to ask when i could come drop off, the girl said she didn’t feel good she was leaving at 12:30, the place closes at 2. I had to wait for the next day. Called no answer, go to the office, the door is locked, looked around saw someone near the uhauals, drive there, asked the girl about taking the pictures everything I’m supposed to do, she hesitated as if i was disturbing her & said; we have nothing to do with drop off the pictures are for you, she has no customer skills, a attitude of dismissive. Would not recommend this place. My fault for not getting the names of the girls, I’m sure it’s a great place but employees need customer skills.

GEORGE LIt would be great if the staff would actually inspect all rental equipment in and out. In my order I had a moving truck and an appliance dolly reserved and the staff lady told me when I arrived to pick up my reservation that they didn’t have any dolly’s. After I went to another store to rent the dolly I needed, The box truck I received had a damaged appliance dolly in the back. A terrible experience of me having to go out of my way to get equipment I needed when I could have got everything in one place.

VIRGINIA Rneed a bigger lot for parking trucks. The remote access is a bit back and forth with no direct access to the parking lot from the entrance. They should build a small bridge to cross and then it would be 4 stars. Lots are small and if trucks were parked wrong I wouldn’t have been able to access my vehicle.

DILLON WApril was great to work with! My pickup time was delayed due to previous customer going over their time. I know they were financially penalized for returning late, but U-Haul did not offer me anything for my inconvenience and delay. A gesture of some kind when this sort of issue occurs should be a “company policy” of sorts. Heck, maybe a future discount? Waiver of mileage up to 20 miles? Some sort of acknowledgment for the inconvenience. The delay in the rental actually cost me more money. U-Haul collected another $50 from the late customer, but the delay cost me $80 for my moving labor. ($40 for an hour of sitting around, and $40 for the additional hour I had to keep them after due to the delay.) I was very thankful that April communicated this delay quickly. If I had driven out to pick up the rental vehicle, and then found out it was delayed when I got there, I would have been very unhappy. Other than that issue, van was in great shape, and super clean! Location is a ways out but not too inconvenient. Truck parking location could use more light at night. I would rent from here again, for sure.
Michelle LIt was just a lot sharing space with UHaul. We were not aware of that when we arrived at 9am, when they opened . However Uhaul keeps different hours and their rep was not in yet. The girls in the storage office were friendly and told us where to leave the U-Haul, but that’s about all they could do for us. I probably would not use this location again. A bit difficult to find. Not great signage showing where to pick up and return the U-Haul, which is a lot adjacent to the office and not connected. So, I’m Sure many have driven down the Long driveway with no way to turn around only to find out that’s not where the U-Haul return is.

Surprised I made it to the nearest gas station. /took 45 minutes to pick up the truck due to slowness of your process, totally unacceptable. Had to walk across a field and though a ditch to get the key. Will never recommend this place to anyone.

David BThe Uhaul representative was 20 minutes late for starters, then she tells me I have an $18 outstanding balance from my previous rental. I asked if I could just pay it along with this rental just so I could make up some of the time rhat she already cost me by being late. She told me no. That I have to call this 1 800 number that she gave me. So I called the 1 800 number thinking of an option to have them call me back because it was a 10 minute hold. They finally call me back at which time. They put me on hold for 10 more minutes. Then I get hung up and then it took me another 20 minutes to get ahold of them, only to find out that the charge was bogus. And I didn't have an outstanding balance. It is never an easy process dealing with u.Haul and this last time was perhaps the worst. Get your shit together Uhaul.

Brandon WDon't assume a customer knows that "everything is done online". I didn't appreciate her tone when I was trying to rent a van. I had a reservation, set up by another location because they weren't able to let me leave my car there. So they kindly did a reservation for me for a location that would allow me to leave my car there. It was a learning experience for sure.
Phil WThe app and mobile check in experience were so bad that I will never use Uhaul again. I've been a customer on and off for 15 years. Never again. I was delayed by 90 min. Uhaul support was not supportive whatsoever. The only thing they could do was tell me what buttons to push on the app that was not at all working. It couldn't utilize location services to verify I was at the right place. It kept timing out, or kicking me back to start. I spent 35 min on hold only to get someone that could only tell me how to do what I had already tried. Mobile check in is a completely useless tool. Customer Service was not helpful. My entire move had to be adjusted and we lost use of another trailer. It resulted in a move that was supposed to take 2 days taking 4. Literally never again Uhaul.

Kristopher UI did everything I was supposed to do and got a nasty email the next day telling me I did not turn in the truck, etc. I called to find out what was the problem and they checked and said “oh, it just got processed in the computer”. Don’t send emails scolding the customer until you process your inventory and know for sure there is a problem. So typically impersonal for these times.
