The guy used his app to check me in. He revised my reservation and added insurance. I previously declined it. He didn’t give me a copy of the agreement. The gas hand was less than a 4th of a tank, but I signed off, because I was in a rush to get on the road.

Andre BThe woman was incredibly unpleasant and kept yelling at me that I parked the truck in the wrong place but didn’t explain where to park and made me re park three times yelling at me each time. She refused to confirm that I had returned the truck on time and with the appropriate gas level, demanded the keys and told me she couldn’t provide me with any confirmation of return and slammed the window shut on me. She stated out extremely hostile when I said I was returning a truck. I will never use uhaul again.

Quentin MRecommend against using Gulf Gas for pick up or drop off. Dirty facility in not nice neighborhood. When I told clerk I was there to return a U-Haul he just snapped "keys" through his security plexiglass. I then asked if he would like to look at the truck or if there was any paperwork to complete and again just got "keys". Clerk didn't check in truck until four days after I returned it.
TIMOTHY RI had reserved a truck six days in advance to ensure the availability of a 15-foot truck when needed. Two days before the scheduled pickup, U-Haul confirmed that my specified truck would be ready at Gulf Gas. However, upon arrival, it was not there. Instead, a 10-foot truck was set aside for me. When I asked to speak with a manager, he informed me that the driver had not yet returned the truck. The situation was incredibly frustrating. The manager offered to call around to locate another truck, and, serendipitously, the driver returned with the truck during our conversation. Reserving a truck in advance with U-Haul is intended to secure your preferred vehicle for your moving day. However, U-Haul's policy allows for the possibility of giving you a different truck than you reserved or requiring you to pick it up at a different location.

Steven JI requested to rent a 15 foot truck and a furniture dolly. I was sent to multiple addresses to find the truck. When I finally arrived at a location where someone had a truck for me, it was a 10 foot truck. The driver door lock was busted, and the right side rear side mirror wouldn't adjust, so I had to have a friend ride shotgun the entire time to tell me when it was safe to switch lanes to the right. i was never sent a receipt from the transaction so I don't even know yet what I was charged. I will never again rent from uhaul. Oh, and the gas tank was almost empty when I picked it up. And there was no furniture dolly available to rent.
Carey SThe truck smelled like human feces and once I was half way to my delivery site the service light turned on. Lastly when I dropped the truck off the gas gage seemed to stop at half tank no matter how much I pumped. And at drop off the attendant was extremely rude. I use uhaul as a first choice and this was not a good experience. Next time I will go to the local uhaul rental location.
Karen Gfrustration with the issues I have encountered with my U-Haul rental experience. I like to once AGAIN address your concerns and hopefully you can resolve the situation. Confirmation Receipt: It's important to have a drop off confirmation receipt for my rental. I didn't receive one, the "just a vendor" refused to give me one. I tried reaching out to U-Haul . Uhaul never called me back once I spoke to the rep who assured me I will get a follow up call. I asked if Uhaul can provide me with any documentation or proof of the drop-off. Still waiting for Uhaul to contact me back. Gas Meter ReadingI believe you were charged for more gas than you used, I can present you with the information and evidence . Lack of Follow-up: It's unfortunate that I didn't receive a promised call back from U-Haul. I reached out to your customer service and provided them with my rental details and was promised a follow-up call . I am still waiting for Uhaul to call me back- instead I am getting this lame survey but what I want- is the money you over charged me. I request a refund and ac resolution. Concerns About the Vendor: U-Haul should not work with some of the vendors that has lower customer satisfaction ratings.

The lady accepted the keys , asked where I parked the truck but did not even come out to see the truck or check gas level which had picked up @1/4 tank & dropped off at 1/2 tank! Now I’ve been double charged for the rental? Drop off location needs improvement!!

George DThe truck assigned to me had a dead battery. The person helping me found another truck, but the cab had not been cleaned out and it was completely empty of gas. I had to spend $110 to fill it up before I could head out.
Michael DThey need to explain friendly quite necessary issues: for example: how I turn on head light, What kind of gas I need to put. Where is hazard light switch, How I need to adjust back mirror and so on. NO EXPLANATION. These explanation can reduce any mistake during using truck.
Kiook PUhaul equipment was in great condition like always. Have been renting from different locations about a dozen or more times throughout the years. No issues whatsoever. Customer service at that location-zero stars. No communication. Very unprofessional staff. One of the guys was eating and on the phone with a personal matter while was “trying” to help. The other one( most likely the owner) was fixing a sign outside completely ignoring what I was asking— simple question about how to return the truck earlier then the time was indicated on the order without asking for any credits back or anything. Just wanted to know if it was ok to bring it back that same night.Later I found the sticker on the truck door about no hassle 24 hour return after I came back to drop the truck off with the 3rd guy who was in the station who didn’t even spoke to me except taking the keys back and looking at me like I was an alien or something. Very strange experience. You are better off renting it from a totally automated system/like a vending machine or something like that.

Fady RThis place is not good, It's gas station and people are rude. When i dropped off i asked them to provide receipt they said they don't work for Uhaul and took the key and didn't even check the car or gas. Poor service. I still haven't received any receipt yet.

Eugene PFirst, the place I was told to drop off at is no longer in existence. It is not called Yossie 76. U-haul needs to update the name and address. I called U-Haul and spoke to somebody on the phone and they tried to help me find the new location, but we’re unsure as to the details of the place themselves. I was moving to a new location (new city, new area) therefore I was unfamiliar with anything the person on the other line was telling me. All I wanted was an address so I could put it into my GPS. Eventually, I figured it out on my own (after paying over an hour and a half in labor for the movers I hired as we drove around Venice and Santa Monica looking for the right U-Haul drop off place.) And when I dropped the truck off after I figured out the new name of the location, the person at that gas station did not inspect the truck to verify there was no damage, it was cleaned out and I left the tank at the right level with fuel. I’m now worried I’ll be charged for something since no one at the station interacted with me. They merely took the key and continued doing whatever they were doing. The worker was not friendly.

Denis MMake sure only equipment necessary, and in the customers contract is left in the truck. My truck had a dolley left inside that I did not order but I knew I was now responsible for, and almost didnt fit in the truck when we finished packing.

Mary JThis drop off is a gas station. When the person checking me in saw that I was a fraction under on the gas he should have invited me to fill it up to 1/4. I was right next to the pump. He encouraged me to think that I could just call Uhaul and explain and everything would work out fine. It didn't. I got stung for an extra $45 on account of one or two gallons of gas that I was supposedly short. I assert that I returned it at the same level as I received it.
Charles SI paid for two dolleys. They had none available there at their location and triedbto redirect to me to go to another location to pick it up and then come back and get the truck. Definitely think they should have their inventory updated so i wouldn’t be expecting to have the equipment i had previously already paid for.

Michael GWhen I returned the truck the person from the store would not accept the key. He left, locked the door and didn’t come back. I called Uhaul customer service and asked what to do with the key, and was out on a 50 minute hold for customer service.

Ashley bFirstly they didn’t have the dolly that I paid for which was the appliance dolly, he only had the utility one, which is $3 cheaper than the one I picked but I still had to pay for the appliance one? Then the Attendant forgot to give me dolly so I wasted 6 miles just in having to come back!
Jennifer A1) Even though the truck was brand new, it was dirty. I saw a warning about a $25 cleaning fee and I went to the cashier to complain that the truck was dirty. He said he was not my employee. I did not ordered him to clean the truck. I just expect to receive it clean, not full of sand and cigarettes butts. I delivered the truck really clean because I had to clean it before I started putting my stuff inside. I deserve to be paid $25 for bringing the truck cleaner than when it was delivered to me. 2) I drove about 12 miles only. When I brought the truck in around 2:00 PM, I put gasoline on it (more than what I had used) and I was told I would receive a receipt by email. It’s 8:46 PM and I have not received any receipt yet. I estimated that I would use 20 miles. Therefore, my mileage needs to be recalculated. Again, I hope to receive a receipt that reflects the actual mileage. 3) Usually, when I rent trucks there is an inspection walk when the truck is delivered to me and another one when I return the truck. Even though I was fully ensured and nothing happened to the truck, I hope I will not be surprised by anything unusual, since I brought the truck back 4 hours after I picked up. Had I received the receipt on location, I would have had peace of mind knowing that everything is OK. Maybe this location is new and the U-haul people there have not received the proper training yet. I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I will recommend this location when I finally receive my receipt and make sure I am all set. Thank you for asking.
Billy RI dropped my rental off on Saturday 4/9 after hours (around 5:15pm) with the attendant at the Gulf Station. The rental return was not processed for another two days, even though the location was showing open on Sunday. It actually wasn't processed until I went back to the location (on Monday morning) and demand they process the return. I did not want to be liable for the truck as it was sitting there. Also, the listed number (on both uhauls website) and google rings to someone's cell-phone. I left a message and did not get a return. The pick-up was great, the truck was great, everything was great, except the drop-off location. I would seriously consider not using this location as a drop off option.

Mark KNo signage siding U-Haul participating location. People, including myself, were driving around trying to find it. Staff at the location was not helpful. At return the customer service rep just told me to drop off the keys. He didn't bother coming too church the truck even though I asked him.
Vassil MUnprepared clerk didn’t know what to do and kept calling someone else. Equipment that was reserved was not present (I had to buy my own dolly at a cost of $100 and extra time wasted.

Chassen Gwhen we arrived to pick up our truck, the attendant hadn't check it in yet, and it was inoperable as someone seemed to have broken the key off in the ignition.... We had to take a smaller truck than what we reserved, which means we had to make more trips to complete our move. The truck had not been cleaned out, so there was trash in it from the last user, and there was no gas in it.

Nicole FPick up your truck at a full service location. My truck didn't have the dolly that I had reserved and if I didn't check, I would not have known. There was no walk around either. I went back inside only to get excuses. Luckily the Lincoln location was able to spare a dolly. I returned the truck with more gas then I left with and they still charged me for additional gas. They also charged me for blankets that I didn't want or need or get! No one to talk to about my issues either. Choose another location if you don't want to deal with a gas station attendant.

Gilberto CThe truck had: a driver side door that wouldn't full shut (creating significant wind noise and possible danger), a chair and lamp from the previous users in the cargo (as if no one checked), no lock for the cargo door, a low air pressure sensor light that seemed to be malfunctioning as the tires appeared to have air, and it was given to me with a little less than one-quarter tank of fuel. I have never seen anything like it in all the times I used U-Haul.
Joel EThis gas station was very sketchy and unsafe. The exterior of the UHaul was filthy and I could t even see out the windshield so had to quickly clean it-luckily there was a squeegee. Also, it only had 1/4 tank of gas but the way they parked it was at a pump they had completely removed the gas pump so I wasn’t even able to get gas. The gal who helped me was very nice though.
ANNA DTry to clean your vehicles even just slightly. Also try to fulfill the order request by providing the equipment that was requested or at the very least let someone know beforehand that you do not have the desired equipment that you supposedly offer.
Ricardo SListed on website as open 24 hrs. We scheduled to pick up at 6:30 (movers coming at 7:30) but they were officially closed. Luckily another worker at the gas station happened to be there and pulled some strings when he saw how stressed we were to get it for us. Also, no dolly in truck and even after going o another uhaul later in the day, we were never able to secure a dolly for our two bedroom move.
Connor HOutrageous. One lady managing the site's three businesses: gas station, convenience store and UHaul. It is unimaginable that UHaul would use this site. I would have cancelled my truck if I would have had time to do so and then use Budget truck rental or other company. I was given a filthy truck with cigarettes butts, half-empty tank and broken left-side windshield wiper (drive side!). I had to open-up several truck cargo holds to get the two dolleys I needed which were for equipment and not the dolleys I ordered & needed. I want the money back for gas I spent not having been given a full tank upon pick up. And none of the documents from UHaul confirm gas tank level when picking up. A real low life and probably illegal conveyance of the truck to me. I will be following up with UHaul Customer Service and Executives. UHaul should be sued for this type of very serious activity. I needed to go from LA to Miami in the truck that was probably not even technically assessed for such a long trip. Your layers can call me anytime on my cell at 213-949-6427. I need to be compensated for what you illegally did.

Hilary HThe truck was damaged when I got it, in a way I wouldn't know to look for. This isn't necessarily the fault of the rental location though, they may not have known to look for it either--but the fact that I couldn't get in contact with anyone from UHaul, even roadside assistance (!!!), meant that I was almost stuck with a fully loaded truck, with all my possessions, that wouldn't close. I've used UHaul for every move before this one but will definitely not use UHaul again as a result of such poor customer service.

Saul SThis is not cool. I feel I am being overcharged and further feel like I have been deceived as far as pricing is concerned. Also, the experience was not a pleasant one. Nothing was ready for me when I went to pick the truck up and was not getting clear communication from ANYONE in the company. I'd like to discuss the billing, as I understood the pricing to be much less than what has been charged.
CHRISTOPHER SThe mobile app experience still needs lots of work. The dolly I reserved was missing from my truck during pick up. Self drop off the app wouldn't allow me to properly enter the milage and it upon submitting the final step it errored out and reset the app no longer showing my rental information. Also the drop off experience was the worst rental experience I've ever had. The designated lot had no uhaul signs and looked like an abandoned run down gas station. The lock box where the keys were supposed to be left at was destroyed. I spent an hour trying to reach uhaul customer support to explain the situation to them and they finally told me to just "drop off the keys in the vehicle" even though I explained there were homeless people walking around trying to open the trucks. (another Google review explained how the truck was stolen and the renter was considered at fault even though they did as instructed) Finally I was able to come to an agreement with another support person that I would just lock both doors and leave the keys in the vehicle. All this took place at night in a sketchy looking area and I would never want my partner having to do this. Very disappointing experience that seems like uhaul is just trying to cut corners and the customers expense.
