I picked up on Sunday when the office was closed. My reservation was not updated to allow me to check in alone. The location had everything set up, it would just have been nice to not have to call in. Customer support was quick, friendly, and helpful.

RONNIE SIzzy at Guzman and Sons was great. However, Uhaul customer service needs improvement. We had originally reserved a truck for 8am Tuesday locally. I got a call Monday saying there wasn't one available locally so we had to go to another town and could not pickup until 9am. We arrived at the pickup location where we were supposed to pick up the truck. After 9am we called them because no one was around. We found they were closed that day though their sign said otherwise. The person we spoke with said they could bring a truck if we could wait. Since our time was already backed up, we did not want to wait longer. I was very unhappy with the later pickup time and then no one there. All of this added to a much later start to our son's move. I think communication needs to be better between Uhaul and the customer in situations like this.
DIANA H6x12 trailer tire blew out 163 miles from Albuquerque; nothing around for miles. Set us back half a day during our recent move from vacaville CA to florence SC which included my adult daughter and our 7 cats headed to our new home but then stuck at the side of the road waiting for roadside service to fix a blown tire! very very frustrating and upsetting.

MATTHEW CBetter signage on the road to find the location easily. Check in was easy, but the trailer was dirty and rusty. The operator dropped the trailer on the ball hooked up the chains and connector and said, "have a nice trip!" When I got the trailer to my storage unit, I noticed that the insides was dirty, the door needed lubrication, and safety chains were rusty.

DREW KThey messed up their paperwork and lost track of who had what trailer. Ended up calling the cops on me. Uhaul gave me 50p off for the trouble though. Saved me some money by being very poor with paperwork.
Brian AMy order included a 10' truck and a dolly on the 8th of June 2024. The dolly was missing from the truck. On the 8th of June, I went to pick up the truck at Guzman & Sons and the dolly was missing. I called the number for this business and the employee was surprised that the dolly was not there. He then stated "Sorry buddy, I have no more dollys. What is your reservation number so I can take the item off your order?" I attempted to find the reservation number while on the call, but because my answer was not immediate, the gentleman asked me to simply text him the reservation number and hung up on me. Fine, no worries. I take the truck and arrive at my home to begin packing with no dolly. I took a break and then texted my reservation number to the Guzman & Sons employee number and my text was rejected and bounced back because his phone was not receiving text messages. I then proceed to call him again--no answer. I call again and he picks up, I tell him that the phone he told me to text to could not receive messages. He then, with no emotion or care, simply told me to call the 1-800 number via the mobile application because he was not open on the weekends. Now frustrated, I asked him why he even bothered to command me to text him. No answer just silence. And what does he do next? He hangs up on me. Ridiculous, unprofessional, and inconvenient. I ended up calling the 1-800 number on the application and my problem was solved quickly by the UHAUL employee over the phone. Why did Guzman & Sons not tell me to do this from the beginning and save both of us some time? Instead, I was misdirected and hung up on when all I was trying to do was 1) pick up the equipment I paid for and 2) Make sure that the dolly was properly reported and deducted from my order. I recommend that UHAUL reconsider how they do business with Guzman & Bros because it reflects terribly on U-HAUL. For any customers considering picking up their UHAUL from this location, DON'T and save yourself a headache. I was reassigned to pick up my truck from Davis to Guzman & Bros located in Dixon, CA. Worst UHAUL experience ever. On the day I had to move out too? Run from this business everyone.

JON NPerson was helping me hook up trailer and while I was walking around inspecting trailer he said Thanks and walked back to building. Usually someone helps to check out if lights work. The rep was friendly but busy with other stuff.
Richard wSelf drop off on the app would be nice… Just like all other locations offer. This would avoid the scam and hidden fees you guys hit me with… Not cool! Not my they are closed on weekends and have me pick up on Friday and drop off on Monday. Do they not know about self drop off on the app??
Alejandro G1. My app crashed when I checked in to pick up the truck, so I missed the instruction, plate number and passcode. I called the contact 707 635 8329, the young man did not answer the phone until the fifth call. The worse was that he refused to assist because I was upset. The second contact 800 322 7374, I appreciated the lady helped me to solve the problem. 2. I refueled the truck before I return it, but I was still charged for $39 fuel fee. I have taken pictures of the dashboard of the truck before and after my usage.
Xuan DI forgot the 12 moving blankets and had a little issue when I returned it to the u-haul in Sun City. But the people in Sun City were able to confirm no blankets were received. But overall great experience. Nice people in pick up, very clean trailer and had no issues with hauling my stuff. Thank You.

Judy RNot very clear where to park vehicles, it is located in farming lot with a lot of other trucks. Worried someone can just drive in, load up the trailer and take off. Otherwise, clean-ish and easy to use.
Taylor KThis guy was an absolute jerk-off A-hole!!! Zero respect for customers. Why bc I parked in the wrong place? There is no place to park, no place to turn around—only a tiny little U-haul sign. I went to the wrong area & asked where to go but there's no place to park w/ out blocking some in. A polite employee of the trucking Co. got the guy from U-haul who came out shooting off his big mouth to move my RV without identifying himself. After the 2nd time yelling at me, I told him I was waiting for the U-haul guy. That's when he stated he was from U-haul. He told me to move my RV & to turn it around & back it to where his other trailers were, but I told him I didn't hv a bak up camera. He disconnected the tow-dolly & shoved it back 15 ft. I asked to grab "my" 4-prong extension & he questioned me twice if it was mine. I stated yes Then he asked if I was sure. I told him I bought it myself. Then he stated, "You'll get an email from U-haul so you can go!" I guess this guy mite be racist towards white ppl. I will never go to this U-haul ever again not even to just do a drop off. I would rather drive 20 miles round trip to Vacaville where they at least treat ppl with respect & not like you shit in their Wheaties when you hv never met them before, talked rude to them, nor disrespected them.

Sanford SI wasn't able to pick up the truck at the request time. I called ahead to make sure, told me 30 minutes after scheduled timed and still had to wait 30 minutes after arriving. The equipment I wanted to rent also was not available, had to find another uhaul location to rent that.
CESAR PUpon picking up the 20' truck, ( I traveled 27 Miles to pick up) the 30 pads ordered were not available but the guy gave me 5 pads. The bed of the truck had dirt clods too. When I asked a question about last time the engine had been checked he didn't know and told me about regular servicing of trucks. When I got in the truck and started it the check engine light and check gas cap lights were on. I asked about this and he told me not to worry about it. I said I was concerned as I had a long drive to make. Asked me what I wanted to do about it; I replied I want another truck. That was the only truck available unless I wanted some tiny truck or a trailer. He said he would dive it that way. I had no choice but to take the truck I NEEDED. He gave zero about my concerns. I then went to Costco to fill with gas before loading and transporting. After I was full I went to replace the gas cap and noticed a river of gas coming out from under the truck. Upon looking under the truck I found the gas to be pouring out all over the gas tank. The attendant was none to happy either as it was a couple of gallons of gas running out. I took a video as I was beyond upset about the whole experience by now. Because of the leak and having just put $129 in gas and terrible gas milage because of the tank sucking air not to mention the lost money on the ground, I was still in a position of needing to continue the move with the truck that could blow up or seize up from the engine light. What a cluster on top of stresses having to move in an atmospheric river event 160 mountainous miles. I feel like I spent a lot of money for a piece of subpar machinery (that is polite). If I ever need a truck again I'll lease one from anywhere but U haul.

ALICIA NI was overcharged significantly for miles I didn’t put on the vehicle. Was charged for 35 miles when I drove it roughly 7 miles total and was charged $40 for gas when it was returned exactly as I picked up- 3/8 of a tank. I was charged almost triple the estimated cost because of this. Very dissatisfied and have to call a third time to attempt correction

Randy CThe website for self check out was frustrating, the steps were unclear, and it felt like a long process. The truck was dirty, damaged, and the check engine lites came on. Our moving blankets that we paid for were also not in the truck.
Scott FMoving trucks should start with at least a quarter tank of gas. My rental barely had any gas in it at pick-up.

Marilyn D**AVOID AT ALL COSTS** Checkin took 30 minutes to get the truck. It was not ready with our rental pads and had to wait for him to get them in another building. The interior of the truck was disgusting I couldn’t even use the cup holders. The last renters contract was left in there, so they didn’t even check/clean it before the last renter! Then just charged our card for almost $50 for 3 gallons of gas!! When we brought it back *exactly* how we got it, right below 1/4. We have time stamped photo proof of how we got it and returned it. What a scam. Shame on you Joe Guzman.
Victoria WNo improvement needed. My experience was excellent. The uhaul agent was very professional and courteous. The truck was clean, gassed up and ran very well. No complaints at all. Thank you very much for providing such wonderful service.
Billie CTried to return truck 12/24 (they were closed) but the gate was closed and locked. There was a phone # for gate access but after several calls, no one answered and went straight to voice mail. Left multiple voicemails, no one ever called back after several days. Tried returning again 12/27, same issue. Someone finally opened the gate from inside, and I left the truck at 7:45 am (15 minutes BEFORE it was due) with EXACTLY the amount of fuel required by the contract. Later they emailed me with a bill for extra fuel, and 1 extra day for being late. I again called them to resolve this, and no answer and no call back. Had to go through UHaul for a refund. I left a formal complaint against Joe Guzman Enterprises. DO NOT USE THIS UHAUL FACILITY!!!!
