This is the first time I’ve used a “remote” U-Haul location. When I sign up and filled out the on line document, I expected to be going to a building on St Rt 16 (Broad St), Pataskala, Ohio. The on line document/rental agreement that I thought I completed never sent a completion acknowledgment so I thought it didn’t go through so I called the location on St Rt 16 and was told to just come there and the paperwork would be completed. A couple days later I received an email that I would need to go to 181 Humphries Dr, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. I then called this location to make sure I would be picking up what I needed. The individual on the phone was not very friendly but rather a flippant attitude. The equipment I needed was there but was not in an area that I would not have known was U-Haul except the trucks were there. I showed up 15 minutes early thinking I would need to finish the paperwork. The gentleman wasn’t there and was on the way. I was confused because of no brick and mortar building. He got the paperwork done and told me that the truck had 5/8 tank of gas. The gas gauge when I got in and started the truck, said just over a half a tank of gas. I decide to just leave, I was tired of the issues. Needless to say I was charged for 2 gal. of gas. The inside windshield was spotted with something splashed on it. I’m done, I will not go back to this “remote” U-Haul location, or any other “remote” location.

Luke BRight Rear Taillight and Turn Signal seemed to be extremely dim or not working properly as compared to the left rear turn signal. The Interior of the trailer was clean and the staff pleasant to deal with.
RICHARD SThe app is the most inconvenient, inconsistent app. You should get rid of it. We placed our order for a truck in advance, showed up on time, and couldn’t access our keys due to the location not setting it up right. Sat on hold for 10 + minutes as they tried to assess the situation for us and ultimately sent us to a new location, 15 minutes away, and said we would we taken care of with additional mileage. After our drive to the new location we could not once again figure out how to access our keys, as the app did not give us any sort of code, and after making 4 phone calls finally got the keys. On top of that, the dolley we ordered and paid for was not in the truck- resulting in us unlocking the gate to the private establishment walking back to the end of the lot And getting our own Dolly out of the storage container thanks to your one good employee. On top of that I was charged $1.40 for no reason at this place. And then following our drop off, had to pay an additional eight dollars for gas after being told, we had additional mileage and would be taken care of. The app is terrible and makes me never want to use U-Haul services ever again in my life, and I will not tell my friends to use it either.
Jeremiah CAs someone who came to this uhaul pickup for the first time there’s not a ton of signage that point you to the office where you go for check-in & using GPS didn’t help much once you arrive. Uhaul trucks were easy to find, but the building itself was a little challenging to find.
Dwayne BThe business owner was very rude. Not sure if he was just having a bad day, but I was very uncomfortable around him. I felt like I was putting him out by needing assistance attaching a car trailer to the truck. Every time I had a question, he answered in a snide manner. Thankfully there was another man there who gladly helped me and answered my questions. I can't rate higher than a 3 due to the rudeness of the business owner though.

David RThere was zero communication that this location rents only through the app. You cannot interact with someone in person. The issue is that the website gave me a choice if I wanted to check in with a staff member or if I wanted to check in through the app (I selected check in with staff). If they are only allowing app check in, then an interaction with a person should not be an option at all when making a reservation. We have no problem with the set up, but this caused a ton of confusion for us until we finally spoke to someone that made it clear we would have to check in on the app. Please update your site to remove the in person check in option. I’m a millennial savvy with tech and had issues. Can’t imagine how difficult this would be for someone who is old.

Yam DThe rental facility did not appear to have an office/store, just a fenced parking lot. Someone met me at the gate, directed me to a trailer, hooked me up and sent me on my way. When I returned during business hours, no one was around to help me unhook the trailer. I backed into the site where the trailer was originally parked, followed online instructions for after hours returns and left. Poor customer service!

ROHIT SWas a great experience. If I had one thing I would change It would have been nice if the truck was full when i got it. It was at 7/16 full and to fill back up to 7/16 was a bit of a guess. I didn't want too fill the tank up if I wasn't to get credit for the extra gas.
