This location has a UHAUL brand portable trailer jack to lift the trailer to the ball. On the 5x8's, its no problem, but on the 6x12 trailers? I fractured my lower vertebrae trying to lift one. Another man, I'm told, got a hernia. This is serious, and eventually UHAUL will be litigated by someone and lose a tremendous amount of money. A screw jack like the one I was provided should be MANDATORY for every location renting 6x12s. I told the manager at anotehr location about this, and he shrugged it off, not willing to buy one. UHAUL, every location should be REQUIRED to use the jack on the 2000 lb trailers. Avoid a future lawsuit. Send this uphill to your corporate leadership. People are getting hurt!!! My injury could have been avoided.

Robert LSelf Storage are the best! Easy to arrange a rental truck and they made sure everything was there that I needed.
Gail CMy lower than stellar rating is mostly due to the app not working well for an afterhours return. It took more than 10 minutes for it to figure out I was in the correct return location and let me proceed with the return. Even so, the return location did not have a secure spot to leave the equipment. Anyone could have come along after I left the trailer and just taken it for themselves.

CHIQUITA KDropped off on Sunday and did not realize that this site was closed. No parking left for returns and ended up using 3 parking places in order not to block entrance or exit gate. Problems using app and u-Haul online to return vehicle. Android phone had issues with camera blocking that could not be resolved. Apple phone had issues with location blocking that could not be resolved.
Denise SWelcomed the tandem axle trailer because he did not have any in stock.

DAMON DTruck needs to be replaced. 175k miles, loud, a/c worked on and off, radio volume uncontrollable, loud truck. Couldn’t get key out of ignition after putting truck in park,. Get rid of it, it’s made you enough money.

ZANE FI set my drop off for Snead's Ferry, U-Haul CHANGED my drop off to a town in completely the opposite direction causing me to go over the mileage which they then charged me for. When I did finally get to the right place, the office was open but with no one around, all computers dark. I had to call the facility to get someone to answer and finally come to the front. By that time I was extremely frustrated, and rather than apologize, the dude copped an attitude and basically told to just give him the keys and be on your way. This is the SECOND time in the last year that U-Haul has put me dropping off far away from my home and forcing me to drive by multiple U-Haul dealers to deliver my truck and then charged me extra mileage. I will be going with other companies in the future that are more customer focused.

CLIFTON MThe vehicle I received a 26' truck was dirty in the storage area and had to sweep it out myself. When I began driving away from the location and reached 35mph the vehicle began shaking from the front end being out of alignment. The steering wheel was at a nearly 45-degree angle while driving straight. The shaking was through 60 mph or so. I wish I would have had time to turn around and try to swap out the truck. However, this was not an option. It was a one-way move from Surf City, NC to Beaufort, SC. So, after nearly 5 and a half hours of bouncing down the road, we made it safely. Please look up where this vehicle is and have it pulled and fixed. It was last dropped off at Salem Rd. Beaufort, SC location. I had to drop it off after hours and wasn't able to talk to anyone. My wife went to drop off a couple of blankets we found that didn't make it back and told the gentleman who operates that location. He said he had just sent it back out.

STEVEN SThe app instruction were not the most user friendly. The truck was in need of a deep clean. Sand on the floor at pick up. Other than that, it fulfilled its purpose.

Wendy CHad a tire blowout on the highway and was told by the person that changed the tire, that the failed tire came apart due to dry rot. Was very lucky no one was injured.
EDWARD PThe only problem was there was no hand dolly once again . My pick up location was 45 minutes from where my storage unit was . I was not driving back to pick up a appliance dolly that I had paid for . I believe I should be reimbursed for that dolly that I did not receive , because of this issue , it took me twice as long and several broken items trying to load the truck by hand . This is the second time I have ran into this situation with U-HAUL.
Darryl MRidiculous on having not taken any extra distance driven miles and then to get charged for 9 miles overage, nickel and dime attitude will prevent me from coming back to U-Haul. Location and staff A++ but the app and business transaction a D. Also, App crashes at loading drivers license information and return photos unable to upload due to crashing app. If app gets good reviews then why not already tell the customer all the damages associated with the truck prior. App can store this information so that photos are not necessary.to be stored on my device.

Gerald NBoth the pick up and return locations were very easy to work with. Will be reserving a truck again in a couple of weeks and will use both locations again.
Dawn sI'm sure it wasn't the dealers fault, but before I could secure the vehicle on the transporter, I had to lubricate the ratchets that tighten the straps that hold the vehicle on the trailer. They wouldn't budge before lubrication.
