ROBERT FThere is a basic assumption the renter knows everything about the vehicle that is provided ie. dashboard controls, lights,etc. or what automatically occurs with the vehicle. It would be a professional courtesy for the business personnel to help/go over details of the vehicle. As it turned out, there was a mix-up with the vehicle/rental and we were given the wrong one as determined by the number on the truck and mileage. This was not discovered until we were at the drop off point. Part of this problem could be on me, as the print out of the contract was a small print and as such was difficult for me to read. A subsequent call to UHAUL indicated that there was indeed a mistake, and it was remedied by the company for mileage used. The representative was very respectful and helpful and adjusted the rental total price. As with any contract it is advisable to "read the small print" and question anything that is stated/printed so that possible problems do not occur because of the description of the vehicle being rented. The rental personnel should help out in this regard.

Matthew HI booked the U-Haul for travel of 240 miles accidentally and was told that I would be reimbursed for any mileage that I didn't use. I never received any money back and I used far less milage than I anticipated. It's disappointing to me!

Alison EThe app was very frustrating, especially since the location I had to pick up from had an AWFUL signal. AND no one bothered to tell me that the place I had to pick up from was closed on Saturdays and HAD to use the app. LUCKILY, the owner of the place just happened to be there and took care of me. I have dealt with U-Haul in the past and this was the worst experience yet. ANNOYING.

FRANK LExtra charges to use this return location. And, ultimately, it cost us over $1100 for a one way overnight from Boston to Cleveland. This is not on the Brighton or Geneva locations, but I would never, ever pay that kind of money ever again!!

Erick PLocation was fine, truck was in good working order just a little beat up, as to be expected with a rental truck. This truckdid however have a leak sonewhere in the roof of the cab that caused water to drip down back wall. Wasnt an iasue for me truck did as expected.

Robert TMy only complaint is that the cab of the truck had trash under and behind the seats and the in the trailer of the truck there was an old broken computer chair left in there. We ended up taking care of it so we didn’t have to get charged the $25 fee for it not being cleaned out.

edith lI was overcharged for the mileage. The mileage when I rented the truck was higher than what was noted on the contract and when I turned it in I was charged for 130 miles rather than the estimated 30. Because I was renting off hours I could not change the starting miles on the contract.

Greg ZOur Uhaul was very dirty when we picked it up. There was dirt and mud all over the floor in the trailer and we needed to clean it out before we could load it. We left it cleaner than it was when we picked it up but the floors need a thorough mopping. Additionally, there was not an appliance dolly or furniture pads available for us at the pickup location, despite reserving them online well in advance. We had a washer and dryer to move so this was incredibly frustrating to not have the equipment we expected. The truck was also dead when we tried to turn it on after unloading it. There were no exterior OR interior lights left on so this was very unexpected. The uhaul support person, DaVina, was very helpful in making sure a tow truck could come out to us to jump the battery. Overall, we are disappointed in our experience with Uhaul.

Jim gI could not say more about renting from this location. A family owed business, that makes you feel like family from the minute you walk in the door. I would drive miles out of my way to rent from them again!
Lori DI was charged an additional $11 for coverage, even though I opted out when I made reservations. In addition the uhaul was completely dirty in the back part. We had to put sheets & covers down, to protect our belongings due to dirt.
Nia MCheck your equipment and make sure everything works. Vehicle was in poor condition including a headlight out which risked me of a possibility of being pulled over, so I had to rent an additional day so I could drive during daylight hours more.

Thomas CWhen I looked on line, I was looking for a tandom axle trail. There were none available for 40 mile around Canandaigua NY, so I reserves a small truck at H and H. When I got there there were 4 tandem axle trailers. So I was able to change my reservation to one of the trailers. By the way. There were no small trucks available at H and H. If I did not change to a trailer, I would have had to get a larger truck. There are issues with correct unit availability in your online inventory.
Scott VThe owner of H&H Towing was reading a magazine and completely ignored me until I spoke to him asking for the key. He had an employee grab the key for me, and the employee brought the van around because the parking lot was so full. When he was backing it up, he backed up the van into the hitch of a uhaul trailer. When I got into the van, it was absolutely filthy with food all on the floor of the inside and crumbs on the dashboard. As I was driving away, it was raining and I went to use the windshield washer fluid and it was completely EMPTY. I've rented Uhaul vans several times and this was my first negative experience. I would never even consider this location again.

GLORIA CThe ENTIRE EXPERIENCE was HORRIBLE AND INCONVENIENT! The location was the ONLY thing that was accommodating. I drove it 4miles and became concerned and scared that something was wrong with the motor/engine as, it was NOT "shifting" into 3rd gear. After having to make a choice to either keep going n hope for the best or to pull off and call the 800, I decided on the second option. I couldn't imagine getting to the destination to load the entire truck n THEN it breaking down. Especially since It was a holiday weekend. The U-Haul assistant said that if I was comfortable driving it BACK to the lot that, we could make arrangements for a different truck/DATE/time AFTER the holiday weekend was over. I didn't want to ruin anyone else's weekend with having to come tow a U-Haul away so I stated that I would take it slow and return it back to the lot and that is what I did. A round trip of 8MILES. OH, but the excitement didn't end there. When I returned to the shop TODAY (Tues) to have my cash deposit returned to me .. it was a slap right in the face. The guy was down right rude AND out of line with me. In FRONT of 4 OTHER men that were sitting around eating peanuts!! FIRST I was TOLD that I had the truck in MY possession for more than 6 hrs which was NOT the case since it was only driven 8miles and IRRELEVANT to begin with since I had it rented for 24hrs. I had told him about what took place after I left the lot with the truck and he said that he wasn't aware or contacted regarding it. As I stood there waiting for my deposit to be handed back he was clicking away in a calculator. I made a comment along the line of, "holy moly, I'd hate to be the person who accumulated all those numbers that are being pushed", and giggled. He the stated that it WAS MY BILL that he was calculating. That I owe HIM money minus the security deposit I already had paid. I about fell to the floor. I asked for an explanation! His reply, "you had the truck for MORE THAN 6hrs(again, irrelevant), and drive it 80MILES." "EXCUSE ME SIR, COME AGAIN"!!?? "MA'AM, I'm not going to sit here and argue with you! I documented what the miles were before you left and once it came back! And another thing, I drove that truck the next day on the thruway to see what you were talking about and I got it up to 70mph n it drove like a charm so, there was NOTHING WRONG with the truck like you claimed there to be.."! Sir... You've CROSSED A DAMN LINE WITH ME! 1ST, U BETTER TAKE ANOTHER LING HARD LOOK AT YOUR DOCUMENTATION FOR THE MILES YOU CLAIM I DROVE, 2ND I DONT CARE IF I HAD THE TRUCK FOR 23HRS N 59 MINS, AND 3RD, SHAME ON ME FOR "FEELING" AS THOUGH THERE MAY BE A MECHANICAL ISSUE WITH THE TRUCK. I DIDNT KNOW THAT BY ME RETURNING THE TRUCK WITHIN AN HOUR OF PICKING IT UP, WAS GOING TO HAVE SUCH A HARD EFFECT ON YOU. AND IM SORRY, WHILE IM AT IT IF I RECALL CORRECTLY, YOU TOLD ME THAT YOU WEREN'T INFORMED OF THE ISSUE WITH THE TRUCK AND YET JUST STATED THAT YOU DROVE IT ON THE THRUWAY TO SEE WHAT ISSUE I WAS TALKING ABOUT! HMM WHICH IS IT, SMART ASS?? AND BTW, ARE U DONE CALCULATING MY ACTUAL MILES YET,??!! He researched the computer and low n behold, I drove that truck, 8MILES ROUND TRIP!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬 I COULDN'T GET OUT OF THERE FAST ENOUGH n unfortunately, I DIDNT. I counted the money he handed me. I was STILL CHARGED THE ENTIRETY FOR THE RENTAL!!! I had, HAD IT!! I LEFT. Called U-HAUL once I was home and they have 72hours to contact me back with a DECISION as to whether or not to give me a FULL REFUND, NO LESS!
