Waited 45 minutes in 100 degree weather and had to call the phone number multiple times to try and get the key to the truck. The app shut off on me multiple times during pick up, when I finally get in the truck there is 15 miles until empty in the gas tank. How you rent a truck from a business that says they have nothing to do with U-Haul and then on top of it have NO gas in it. And then they wanted me to bring it back full? Absolutely a joke. The owner of this location does not want to do U-Haul that would have been a GREAT piece of information to know before reservation. Oh let’s not forget I called the 1800 number and they had me on a 45 minute wait so I put in for a call back, multiple hours go by and I never received a call back. So upset with U-Haul.

When we got to this location and tried to explain to the lady there we needed to pick up our U-Haul that we had booked online she pretended to not speak English and just pointed at the 1-800 U-Haul number to call. We then had to wait about 20-25 minutes for the service manager, Joey, to come out. Joey was great but it was still very inconvenient to have to wait that long when we expected to pick it up right at 9am and the location didn’t appear to be very safe. While we were getting the keys for the U-Haul someone came up to us begging for money. Definitely would never recommend this location to anyone.
Olivia DHonestly, I would recommend removing this location as a pickup site altogether. This was probably one of the most stressful U-Haul pickups I’ve ever experienced. I originally reserved a truck at the Lewisville location off I-35, but received a call the day before saying I would need to pick it up at this location instead. When my husband and I arrived, it appeared to be a small laundromat with the U-Haul parked out front. We had completed mobile check in ahead of time, and the app instructed us to go inside to retrieve the key. However, the employee informed us that they didn’t have access to the U-Haul system and repeatedly told us they had no key. She brought us outside to the lockboxes, but still wasn’t able to help us access the truck. We then had to call customer service, were transferred multiple times, and eventually reached a field representative who was able to provide us with the combination to a padlock on the key return box where the key had been left. While we ultimately got the truck, the entire process was confusing, stressful, and took much longer than it should have. The employee was kind and clearly doing her best, but the location didn’t appear to have the tools or training needed to support U-Haul customers. I think U-Haul should reconsider using this location for pickups unless the process can be made much clearer for both customers and employees. It became so stressful that I was hysterically crying thinking our move was ruined.
