It was 2 high for 30 mins. They charge me for gas for 27.50 to take it down the road for 12 miles.. I had it back by 615pm and they marked it down that I brought it back at 647pm. The only reason I drove it bc I was hauling 2 mattress and it started pouring down rain and I needed it.

I've rented from Uhaul many times throughout many years, this was the first time I rented a car tow dolly that I had to hook up to my truck myself. I have no problem hooking up a tow dolly, lots of experience doing so. I thought hooking up the dolly was Uhaul's responsibility. There was no way to verify that my brake lights worked on the dolly because I was alone out there, the store clerk told me I had to hook up the dolly, and that it wasn't his responsibility. Personally. I don't think the clerk knew how to hook up the dolly. The potential exists here for a catastrophic failure because some renter with no experience hooking up a dolly hooks it up wrong, the car being towed separates from the towing vehicle and goes into traffic because the renter didn't hook up the security cables/chains. This is an accident just waiting to happen.
