Truck wasn't there when I had guaranteed pick up. When I got the truck it was over an hour late, no gas in it. So much confusion going on, so unorganized that I was given the phone to try and fix an issue with the truck yet I don't work for uhaul. Very unpleasant experience. After picking up the trucks and driving 2 km to our location and started having mechanical issues it would only go up to 10 km an hour we couldn't continue like this so we returned the truck. I let the people know and they told me they were aware of the problem. WTF? why would they rent out this truck it has mechanical issues? We paid the $50 and then had to go rent a truck from somewhere else. Very disappointing and I would NOTrecommendSALVATORE C.
There was something up with this truck's transmission; I'm not 100% sure but between 3 or 4 gear it sometimes wouldn't shift up regardless of if I let up on the accelerator or not, resulting in the occasional top-out of RPMs and burning gas more than any other truck of similar size I've ever driven. This would happen not all the time and not because of hills but about 30% of the time I came out of a stop light. I did not have a tow/haul (nor was it activated) and it was only loaded ~30%.Sean B.
U-Haul has degraded to a really low service quality where they don't care about the customers. The system was down when I needed to pick up the truck and it messed up my schedule completely. When the system was back on the next day, the customer service was horrible where they should've been apologizing and refunding me at least.Amin M.

The key was very tricky to turn and the transmission was slipping . When I returned the truck I informed them and they told me I had to let Uhaul know. It want their problem. . I paid 135.00 to rent and was not happy with their reply about what was wrong . Also there was no fire extinguisher im the truck . So not fully happy with my rental ...SAMANTHAANN M.

When a customer comes in to pick up keys, don't put them to the side and ignore them for 15 minutes so you can ring through an inordinate amount of lottery. I'm on a strict timeline, and all you have to do is hand over the keys, their lottery addiction can wait.Brett H.
all information was not provided and extra fee's were not communicated at all! the safemove additional insurance of $15 and a $5 environmental fee is suspicious at best - where does this fee go and we had our own insurance which would have covered us in the event of an accident (much like any rental vehicle). we should have been informed that the charge indicated was not the charge we would see on our VISA. this poor communication looks bad on UHAUL and vendors should be required to go over the rental agreement in advance when picking up a vehicle. Although only an additional $20 total (which we were taxed on) it was our $20 and we feel like UHAUL took advantage of us. Not pleased with this scam! Environmental fee's are charged on tires, electronics ... what is this fee for?!!?!! bad UHAUL taking advantage of the general population!Jason R.

The pick up location was a convenience store. I was unable to get any moving equipment because this is essentially a pick up spot and not an actual UHaul dealer. The van had Arizona plates. The hotbed of COVID it was not sanitized. I had to do that myself. That is not safe. The battery kept running low. The oil was low.There is no ongoing maintenance on vehicles at a convenience store. It would be nice if you included the free KMS with the 10' truck. I paid $146 (Rented under a friends name) in February for 2 days, with the biggest truck. I used this 10' one for 4.5 hours and paid almost as much.... $119. Seems pretty high for such a short rental period. Should always include KMS with the rentals, I think people would be more inclined to rent again if you did. I am not disappointed with the service, the staff were friendly and easy to deal with, I was just very shocked with the price.Melissa C.

First if all. You told me, actually completely reassured me numerous times that the charge to my card was only on hold and that at the end when returned, the card was not going to e charged that we could pay everything with cash. And when we got there and had done everything we.were supoosed to do, you laughed and told us to bad, its already charged and you cod not do anything about it. " i I work at this store, not uhaul, take it up with them". Well. You had no problem repeatedly telling me it wouldnt be charged. On top of that. When i called in with my card number.....i asked you not to repeat the numbers out loud since its a credit card, and there were clearly people in your store. But you did it anyway. I had to tell you times to stop saying them out loud in front of people.but you just laughed and said "its ok mame". You know what. Its not ok. Had i not been in a jam i would have gone to another company. I cant go anywhere currently. But somehow i have to get to a bank to put this money on my credit card. the vans was disgusting, it smelled terrible, it was extremely dirty, I had to buy a tarp to put it on the floor so that my things didn't get dirty, the seats were full of animal hair, I wanted to return the vans but it was already late and I didn't have more time, I complained but nothing happened, I want a refoundCarlos A.
Overall was not a good experience. The guy in charge of the operation was on FaceTime with someone during our whole transaction, and even mouthed my credit card info outloud as he typed it into his computer.... while on FaceTime. I have cancelled said credit card for obvious reasons.Noah G.

While both of the men who served us were polite and helpful the interior of the van was very dirty - there was gyprock and other dirt and debris all over the floor of the van where we needed to put our items to move them. We had to lay our own clean drop sheets on the floor before we could load it. The van itself smelled heavily of smoke. The exterior of the van was very dirty. It had also been sprayed with graffiti. The van did run very well - it has low mileage and seemed relatively new.Michael B.

Went to fill the tank up. Went over the "full" amount because when i went to fill it to the "F" as shown in picture it kept going and i asked for a refund/discount off the cost of rental for it and the Location told me theres nothing that can be done all i can do for it but take the gas out. How am i suppose to take gas out? Also i was put off to the side while he served other customers at the same time Would not recommend! Charged $74 (gas included) for what a dirty van with food/garbage everywhere. I had to chip off the ice on the windows with my own scraper which i broke doing so. We had issues with the location changing several times before we got the truck, one being the morning of. We were told the truck was going to be in one town (close to the house we were moving out of) and it ended up being in another town (30 minutes away) and had changed for a third time. Regardless of the location issue, when we got the truck everything went smoothly, the truck was clean and in great condition. We were very happy with the experience other than the issues we had to deal with before getting the truck. The service on the phone was great and even though it was a little unorganized, the experience was good.Samantha M.

This is not location I requested my rental. This was changed by U-Haul. So let's talk about rental. First, ordered appliance cart and one wasn't available at this location. Attitude was â€œoh well - I don't have oneâ€. So was unable to move appliances I had planned. So who takes responsibility for this?? Next, was told tank was half full, but was below. So when I returned after minimal mileage I put in more than I used but still wasn't up to half. I was asked if I left vehicle clean. Said that I left it as I found it. Cab was dirty with crumbs on console and cup holder. What's happening U-Haul you have certainly gone downhill from last time I rented a vehicle. Plus the Store sells drug paraphernalia. Don't think appropriate for a vehicle rental location.Rod B.

Pay attention to one customer at a time regardless if they are for UHaul rental or store clientele. I had to wait while clerk served customers making purchases from the store. Check the rental agreement and have add ons in truck. Like furniture pads and dolly. Upon return of the truck the clerk could not adjust invoice as needed and requested that I call customer service the next morning to deal with it.Kim M.
