The whole experience was negative. I called to ask if I could pick up the van 30 minutes earlier he advised he didn't have the van as it was stolen.i finally established that he had a bigger vehicle that I could rent for the same price.The new contract had a higher mileage rate and he wasnt happy that he had to call to get it adjusted.He made me speak to the rep on the phone as your system reports miles not kms as is booked online.All thru this back and forth he kept interrupting my transaction to serve his store clients stating they were his primary business?The original contract stated the tank at 7/8 full, but he actually rented me another truck with different data. When I returned the vehicle I shared a picture of the mileage gage with him to ensure I was not charged for excess kms. Although I have a fuel charge on my final billing even though I returned it at the designated level? If I need to book a rental again uHaul will be my last choice even if I need to spend extra. None of this experience is acceptable in a client experience business.

Location is a variety store that insisted on serving variety store customers while I had to wait. Plus, clerk did not provide me with my appliance dolly, which I paid for and then would not credit me my $10 back. Told me I had to deal with head office. Extremely poor customer experience.

This might be a Uhaul problem, but I'm not sure why I was told I HAD to accept the Uhaul 2 day rate and there was no option to just rent it for a few hours which is all I needed. I picked up the Truck after 1:00pm and then dropped it off at 7:00pm. (they didn't call me in the morning to tell me my truck was ready like they said they were going to) Also when I called initially, I had questions and they were trying to rush me off the phone and would not answer my questions such as "why is the pick up location not the same as the store address" when I was told "we will call you with a location where you can pick up the truck on the day of your move" Anyway, no one called me. I called them. Then the guy is like "..yeah the truck is here" Then when I'm renting it he starts to say I can have a day rate, then he says no I have to rent it over night regardless. If dropping it off after hours was the issue, I may not have had to drop it off after hours IF THEY WOULD HAVE CALLED AND SAID THE TRUCK WAS WAITING FOR ME in the morning. Also, when I called initially, I was asking about the size trucks that were available and he's like "oh I don't know that information you just come in on that day and see" until I said, I just talked to another uhaul dealer who said he only has a 15 foot available for the day an encouraged me to call around to other stores. Then he's like yeah okay I have a 10 foot. Just real shady service. I regretted leaving my credit card number with them after I booked thinking I somehow got a scam number and really should have just rented the 15 foot truck off the other provider.



Lower the price on distance for the km I think it's to much money and there has to be a cheaper way 67cents a km is way to much for a small cube van maybe fair if a bigger truck but not the small one

Rented blankets only to find them outside in a pile wet. They also had dog hair on them and smelled liked urine. I could not use them and was charged for them anyway even after bringing it to the attention of the clerk. The van was dirty and also smelled. I've used UHaul before and had great service. Very disappointed in this rental experience.

fill the trucks to full then when we r done we just have to top it off...we ended paying $10 more for gas which was unfair, the process they used was hard to understand.why u do it this way makes no sense to us regular joe

Horrible customer service and the vehicle wasnt ready at the scheduled pick up time. Awkward exchange as the retailer and the previous customer argued right in front of me and attempted to draw me into their disagreement. Never. Using. Uhaul. Again



I drove the truck 11.16 km, I put 7.00 of gas in the truck, and I was charged 8.79 for gas. When I questioned it the rep said it is what he saw in the truck. I stated well it was not to the level of fuel as indicated here, and he explained that not everytime he goes out and checks and it was my responsibility to tell him when I took the truck... I think this is wrong, I also don't think that I should be forced to take insurance when I bring in my insurance papers which states large trucks are covered for rentals Not the first time I have been unhappy with this location



I understand that walk in customers should be looked after first when it's a quick sale but it took over an hour to get the rental done when I didn't have an hour to spare. Part of the holdup was people buying lottery tickets and instant lotto stuff, checking them and trading in the winners. One woman did this 6 times before she left the store for good. I guess the Lottery stuff is more important to the store than a rental. I rented for 24 hours and I asked how late the store was open in case I MIGHT get done what I needed to do. This jerk called my house at 10 pm wanting to know why the truck wasn't returned that night and being somewhat ignorant. My wife said, "we rented it for 24 hours didn't we?" the guy said yes, my wife said we'll have it back tomorrow before 1 pm and hung up. I would consider this harassment especially at that time of night! I won't be going back to this location, ever. I'll drive to Hamilton if I have to.

This statement is directed at the corporation of uhaul and service of the location (not just the location solely) I contacted uhaul for the rental of a truck with the specific instructions of needing a ramp. I was told that the one that i was renting did in fact have a ramp. When at the location I asked where the ramp was and was told that there wasn't one. I found it frustrating that I continually had to wait while other customers were served. This location is contained in a variety store. These constant delays but me well behind schedule. In addition the only other vehicles visible in the lot were the same size as the one i was renting. At no time was i told there were larger trucks. In frustration i took the dolly in hopes that it would do what was required. To say the least it did not. When I contacted uhaul they said return the truck and they would provide the proper truck to do the job. When I returned the truck and explained the situation to the woman she said she was not contacted by uhaul and knew nothing about it. I then contacted uhaul once again and was told there was no one who could handle the complaint. One individual being in Jamaica and the other being out of the office. I told to pay the bill and someone would get back to me the same day to handle the complaint. I have yet to hear back from anyone. As a corporation you recognize how important it is to be able to provide a service. There is no difference between us as you are only as good as your last job. At this time my reputation has been tainted as a direct result of this. The job has now been stalled as there is a second trip required to move the items which should have been moved that day. In addition there is the expenditure of having to pay people to move the items. We were only able to move one item as a show of good faith to the company. I am sure it is not in your policy to reimburse clients for costs that have been incurred as a direct result of your mistake (labor/time) I feel it is unjustified to anticipate a client to pay for it. As you can agree it is not prudent for companies to work at a loss. As a direct result of this I am now working at a loss of 450.00 My very simple question to you on this matter is what are you going to do about it. Thank you for your time i look forward to receiving an answer in the near future.

When I returned the vehicle to them they stated that the gas was below what was on the contract. Despite the discrepancy in the beginning I had filled it to the level required on the contract. They then charged me an additional $14. In total I spent $48 dollars in gas for a one trip drive from Hamilton to Brantford (30 min drive time)

Gas tank was not full which made it hard to know how much gas to replace. Back of truck was not clean (even had a shotgun shell in it). Had to grab my own dolly and put on the truck. Drivers side door lock would not unlock with key, so I had to keep unlocking passenger door and crawl through.

I tried to explain the gas issue and why I did not have the "Official" contract. I understand that it is not their problem but they were very short and rude about it. They did not offer any solutions (contact number for resolution etc). I would never deal with this location again.
