Very tight lot, for the 26-FT truck not alot of options for drop off. Then as I was finishing with my photos and close out another U-Haul arrived with the same problem as me but worse because I added to the cluster of cars. In future if possible to direct drop off to the empty parking lot near by or the road towards the west that appeared to be a U-haul truck storage area but this entrance was chained off.

Dominique WHad made arrangements online to pick up a truck at 12. Called and called no answer. Went there and no one was there. Not a very professional way to do business. Then I got a dolly and 1/2 order of blankets and didn't get them. Wouldn't recommend them. Just glad I'm finally moved after all the headaches.

Since I had rented the truck, that means I was busy loading and unloading the truck.I did not read my emails while I was busy with the truck. It was a one-way rental. When the truck was off loaded we returned the truck to the closest place available to us, the same day Your email stated I was to drop off the truck at a different location and because I dropped it off at a different location, I got charged. That is the most ridiculous charge I have ever had. I will not be renting from you again because of this. I will post my story on all social platforms Cindy Gallagher

Jean MWe returned the truck with 3/4 tank of gas which was just over what was expected of us. And we got gas JUST BEFORE dropping it off and made sure to put enough in it so we didn't get charged and they marked it as 1/2 tank and I got charged $50.
CRYSTAL WIt took over 45 minutes to pick up the truck. They couldnt figure out how to access my reservation or work any of the components on the app. The gave me 3 different prices and swiped my card Atleast 6 times. I will never be going back to this location.
Judy AFind a different drop off location. I called ahead and was told to park my vehicle in the center lane of the road and then come in. Once i can inside i was then told to go back out to take the truck to the vacant lot and park it. Once i parked it, i assume it was the owner over there, he opened the back and seen the dolly was there and the truck was clean. I then had to walk back to the other building which meant walking on the road with no sidewalk or shoulder with oncoming traffic. I told the other guy it was parked and he said ok and have a good day. Then i proceeded home. Within 15 minutes Harold’s Auto Repair (junkyard) tried to charge my credit card $100 2 times. I called U-Haul and they said he claimed I didn’t return the dolly. I was furious because the owner opened the back and seen it. I called there and of corse no answer. So i drove back up there. I walked inside and he said “did you bring the dolly back?” And i replied it’s in the truck, you already seen it and made a comment that it was there. Then he was all nice and said oh I’m sorry, it’s been a busy day. I feel he only said that because he had another client the. This place is a joke. This is the second time i have had an issue with this place. Who would have a customer park a vehicle in the middle of the road (the main road through Pevely) and have them walk back inside….twice? And then lie and say i didn’t return the dolly when he clearly seen it. He was trying to scam me for money. The place looks like a junkyard and the inside looks just as bad.

Karen FMake sure the equipment is there prior to pick up time. Dealer did not have the truck at this location for pick up time at 9:15am. Had to wait about an hour for him to go pick up the truck.

Dennis OThe rental locations were great, but the website is more than problematic. I've deleted rentals in the past (and confirmed the deletion by refreshing the browser page afterwards) only to have them show up again days later (and on the rental location systems - sloppy system Database restore by the IT guys?) But the biggest issue was with the 24/7 rental workflow. I had to make a last minute change 24 hours before by calling UHaul and this caused the "Pickup my truck" link to not show up on the day of the move (I was ontime etc.). I was on hold with UHaul help line for over 50 minutes before the local STL dispatch office opened at 9am. We called them, explained the issue. Within 2 minutes the link showed up on the website and we could pickup the truck. However the person on dispatch never got back to us either. This whole experience delayed our move by more than 2 hours. I will never use the 24/7 pickup feature again. Also UHaul main help line is ridiculously broken. UHaul as a company is really becoming a trainwreck.
JERRY MWas not prepared with equipment requested. Did not have all the pads requested. Did not have the Dolly requested. Truck was on empty. Truck was not ready for pickup at time requested. Took an hour and a half to get Truck then still had to go to a different location to get the correct dolly.
Lori CI'm not sure how much Harold was at fault, I think it was just U-Haul in general. Having said that, it was the worst experience I have ever had renting equipment for a move. I had to drive all over the place and ended up having to get my equipment from 3 different U-Haul locations. I have also called management to discuss my displeasure but they have not called me back. I would definitely like to speak with someone about my experience.

TERRI PThe pickup facility is a overly crowded auto shop. There was so little room that we had to park in front of the repair bays. We actually had to drive 1/4 mile to a a uneven gravel lot to actually pick up the trailer
Peter JHarold's Auto Repair is a pitiful excuse for a UHaul pickup/drop off location. I showed up at the premises to pickup the rental truck right at 10 AM Saturday(the time the rental agreement said Harold's opened). I see the rental truck in the lot of the premises but it becomes apparent nobody is available to help me get the key. In fact, it looks like the place hasn't been open for weeks. I call the phone number for Harold's and I'm informed the voice mailbox is full. At this point, I notice there are two key lockboxes on the building. I figure I need a lock combination to access the key for my truck, so I call the UHaul 800 number and am put on hold for more than 10 minutes so I do rental check-in online in hopes I can get the lockbox combination via email. But that doesn't provide me with a combination either. I decide to look into the key dropoff box and see what looks like it might be a key. Fortunately I'm able to find a piece of wire on the site and am able to fish out the key and it happens to be the one for my rental. What a way to conduct business!

Don RThey were closed when we got there, even thought 10 minutes earlier they were open when we called. When we took it back the second day, they had no room on the lot for the truck and wanted us to drive it to another location further away. It was only when we refused to do that because I was supposed to be at work that they decided they would take it back. Very disappointed and for that kind of "service" -- we paid over $1,000. Totally unacceptable.
Andrew BExtra mikes were a scam, I drive one way from pick up point to my house, loaded . Drove to New home 3 hr trip, 1 stop for gas then to drop off and was told I drove over by 176 mikes. Not true, mileage was wrong somewhere and I was charged overage for 71 dollars. Not impressed.
Dustin MHarold goes above and beyond to help and assist his customers. He hooked up my trailer and made sure everything was working properly. Always very friendly and courteous! Would highly recommend him!

NITA PPeople were very nice and accommodating but no one was answering the phone and owner was an hour late getting our truck and was not prepared for us to take it even though it was reserved for a few days. Could have been a bad day for them but was very inconvenient and poorly orchestrated.

Alexis JI dropped off EARLY 45 minutes early. A man named AC told me to throw the keys in the box. I did. Then I called customer care and they said oh your supposed to be moving to Imperial. I said no I know where I’m moving and it’s Pevely the rep keyed it in wrong. Oh, we will call so it’s not reported stolen. We will call you back. No cal so I called again, she said sorry my computer is down. So several hours passed and my card was charged when I called the third time I spoke to Akeen and explained I dropped it off early. He said if you go over one minute they charge you. I said yes I understand that but I dropped off early With a full tank. He was condensending to me and said let me explain this one more time. I don’t like being spoken to like I am a dummy. He said he would take the charge of being late (which I was not!! He took it off but yet to see my cash go back in my account) Harold’s auto Services did not key it into the computer till 140pm I am very upset over this service

The pick up was forever the man didnt know what he was doing was a very nice guy but was not trained the owner who knew how to do the pick up process had left and wouldnt be back for hours which was past my reservation time. Overall this location was nkt professional and i wasted more time trying to pick the Uhaul up and dropp it off then i should have.

Shawn WI was charged for 3 days of use and only used the trailer 1 day. the trailer was returned the same day as I rented it per my original reservation and today I get charged for 3 days of use. my guess is no one came in over the holiday weekend to see what was turned in and they just assumed I had it for multiple days. I need the 2 non authorized days of charges refunded asap.

THOMAS MYou can explain everything that you are going to charge someone. You all only told us we would be charged for the uhaul and the miles we used. Instead you charged us for the miles we used, you charged us for 2 days when we only had the uhaul for 12 hours, you charged us for gas (never told us we would be charged for that), you charged us for a dolly that we never used. Oh yeah and inside the truck it says if you sweep it out and clean it up then you would get $20 off LIES!!! We cleaned the whole back of the box truck out and even cleaned the front up (even though we didn't make a mess in the back or the front). This company is a total JOKE. I will never recommend them to anyone EVER!!! I even called to speak to them about my experience and the people who work in there customer service hung up on me everytime I would tell them what happened. I called and told them I wanted to speak to a manager (or someone in charge) they refused to let me speak to anyone above them. YOUR COMPANY AND YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!! I never would have used this company if I knew I was going to be charged my whole paycheck for 12 hours of your service. Now I cant afford to get my child diapers, formula, food, and all his other needs because you all decided to basically ROB me. SAD JUST SAD AND THEY COULD CARELESS!!! Sorry for the long Rant but I am so upset over this.

Charles BThe uhaul transmission stopped working are less than 50 miles I'm also being charged a $28 fuel fee for maybe $5 worth of fuel that was used because I was worried to make an extra stop and wanted to make sure it return to the drop-off location safely there are also charging you $30 over what I paid as my deposit and rental the rental fee was also $10 more than we discussed at the location

david GI'm not sure if it's normal protocol to check wiper blades but the ones on the truck we rented were trash. We tried to clean the window and the blades didn't even touch the windshield. Unfortunately, we drove in snow and rain so this was a bigger issue than may have been for others.

Valerie AThe service provided by Harold’s Auto Repair was fantastic and Harold went out of his way to make sure the rental process was excellent. The actual reservation process was a bit frustrating and we were told we had a secured reservation close to our residence only to be passed to two additional dealerships farther away from us. We have used U-Haul several times with no issues, so it was a bit frustrating why the on-line reservation system showed there was the right truck available at the dealership closest to us and later we got passed around. In the end, Harold made it right and none of the reservation issues were his fault.
